has anybody played Soulbringer(possibly The Fat Egg, you claim to have every game).
i am just curious if it is worth 20 bucks. i read a few bad reviews about it, but i would like to hear what its all about from somebody that has played the game, and seeing as none of my friends have, i thought i would turn to this forum.

First of all, almost every game. (Is that a crime?) And yes, soulbringer is worth $20, but not more than that. Buy it, NOW, go, stop reading! ;)

no Egg its not a crime. just givin ya a little ribbing. somehow i knew you would be the first to reply to this topic. i'll check out Soulbringer, but first i must check the bargin bins for the Gold Box series.

Its a good game, and if you want a good Diablo clone, this is your best shot.

Wingfoot, I'm going to give you a rundown of the game, here it comes:

Very Impreesive visuals, you leave tracks when your character moves, realistic shadows shift depending on where the light is, fully 3D rotatable, the downside is you'll want 64mb of ram and at least a 32mb 3D accelerator to get the most out of it.

Sounds are good and hand to hand combat doesn't sound like forks being hit against plates, spells sound just amazing, and the voice acting is great, which is very difficult for many games.

Gameplay is good but can be annoying, the game is linear, magic works uniquely, you read scrolls and books to learn different sections of magic, as you get better at some magic you get worse at the opposing ssection, you're not limited to certain spells (although there are some), you can bend the magic to your will. The combat systemm gives you access to many moves and maneuvers, along with special skills, its not simple point and click.

The game requires a massive install, the monsters, quests, and storyline are unimaginative and predictable, and although sounds and voice acting is good, music is below average.

Its worth $20, and if you want a good game and the best diablo clone on the market, this is the game for you, Wingfoot.

hmmmmm, i didn't like Diablo. i'll have to check out the Soulbringer demo first.
