I just opened email from Amazon.com saying that BGII would "hit the shelves" today, 9/15. Anybody got it yet? (I mean a normal copy, not one of those previews that certain lucky bastards manage to get their grubby claws on.)

Unless the duplication company worked their asses off from yesterday morning up to today pressing the 1 million+ copies needed to distribute around the world, I would have to say Amazon is very pre-mature about that announcement.

As much as I'd love to get the game today. Interplay has not shipped copies yet. Unless Amazon made their own copies I think we still have a week or so to wait.

The closest store to me said they weren't getting it until the end of the month (maybe). I just love having such concrete dates.

Mine is coming sunday, apparantly, I hope they're right, I'm already to the stage where I just sit in a corner with my laptop twitching and chanting :"Baldur's Gate 2 is coming, Baldur's Gate 2 is coming." While staring at the pics of the dragons.

BGII won't be in stores until the end of the month. 26th to 27th would be a good bet.
Just to point you all in the right direction...
