Does anyone else play this great game?
(this is the best RPG game ever methinks)

Ahh Arcanum... Yes, I played it and I think that it could have been a really good game. However the number of bugs or the one exact bug discouraged me. The game randomly crashes, and there's no patch out there to solve this problem.

Or if there is, I don't know about it.

My game never chrashes but the longer i play the more it lags so i have to restart sometimes,but its still the greates RPG ive played:)

Definitely not the best RPG ever. That was my opinion until I actually played the game for 2 weeks, realizing the game must have been shipped at least 2 months too early. It is soooo bug-ridden. My personal least favorite:

1. That goddamn Virgil casts non-working healing spells on my 100-tech dwarf, and passes out from exhaustion. Meanwhile, my dwarf is getting his ass whooped because not only do I have to stay alive, I have to protect Virgil! ARGGHHHH

Definetly the best RPG.

Played it, finished it.

As for Virgil and techs:
1. you can order Virgil not to do that
2. magick doesn't work on techies
3. find yourself a tech party members to mix you healing stuff that works on techs

Arcanum is a very good crpg.

As for magic and techs, when I was still unsure of what I wnated to make my character into, I gave him a healing spell. Now however, he has a 100% tech aptitude, but whenever I cast the healing spell on myself, it always works - never failed me once. I imagine that this is a bug, but I'm not complaining. :)

No, no...it qualifies as a good RPG (in my opinion.) I have Virgil in my party for his abilities (other than healing,) along with Sogg Mead Mugg and the Dog. In my opinion those two are the two best fighters in the game. As for the bug, I ordered Virgil to not heal me about 50 times and he still casts greater heal and passes out!

Definitely one of the greatest CRPGs!! For every quest there are at least 2 or 3 solutions. And it's so non-linear. Haven't encountered any bugs either, although it does start to lag after a couple of hours.

My current character is 100-tech. Virgil rarely tries to heal me anymore - I guess he saw the futility in it ;) But I also picked up a tech-healer as well(Jayna Stiles). Also have Dog in my party - easily the best fighter in the game IMO. His only drawback is that he can't carry anything :heh:

I have played Arcanum very little so far but I intend to play it more because I've heard good things about it and because it was made from the creators of Fallout 2 which by the way is the absolutely positively definately best RPG ever made
