1. Icewind Dale + HOW + TOLM :D
2. Baldurs Gate II (Don't have ToB yet.) :)
3. Baldurs Gate + ToSC :)

Icewind Dale II will make the list once purchased. I don't have Neverwinter Nights yet either. :(
I have Planescape Torment, but for what I have played so far (which is not much I confess), this game stinks. Thus it is not on the list.

Thanks Z. I'll have to stick with it and let it open up. (I'm in the Hive right now, doing quests.)

Kerap, the beggining is boring, buttrust me, once you get out of the mortuary, it al opens up into one of the greatest games of all time.

Mine are:
1.Neverwinter Nights
2.Baldurs Gate II
3.Baldurs Gate+ToSC
4.Throne of Bhaal
5.Icewind Dale+HoW
6.Pool of Radiance

The Deviant Mage
Wed, 28th Aug '02, 2:45am
1) Torment
2) BG2 + ToB
3) NWN
4) BG1 + TotSC
5) ID

Torment is great, so is BG2. Neverwinter is fine, but not as great I had hoped. Maybe if a few issues are resolved, such as it sucking online, it will get a better rank.

Scratch that, I doubt it could ever bump off BG2, let alone Torment.

1. Torment - unbeatable in story, atmosphere, design, NPC and PC development...
2. BG1 -> ToB, the saga in whole
3. Dark Sun 2, a shiny gem from the distant past
...
50. IWD (+HoW), which is nice, but lacks replayability and quite a bit of roleplaying feel
...
99. Neverwinter Nights, which I find almost as annoying as the morning breath of a fine lass after a night well-spent... *sigh* WHY, oh WHY did they release the game with such an irritatingly shallow singleplay?

Relic... You moron...

How much of PS:T did you actually play? Let me guess, you started playing your way through the mortuary and gave up... If not, still, you're a jackass...

Pool of Radiance is a bug infested peice of ****, why the hell you place it above Torment I don't know, I hope you were having a moment of temporary insanity.

Could you not handle the dialogue? Could you not handle the fact that it wasn't a "Go here, kill this, go here, bring me this, now go kill the big boss..." type of game? Or was the supreme character interaction too much for you to grasp?

Oh no, now I get it, the supreme spell effects and lack of console and uber weapons put you of!

/me facepalms!

How did I miss it, the fact that this game has a storyline is too much for you to handle!

*****!

1) Planescape: Torment~!
2) Baldur's Gate 2 + ToB
3) Baldur's Gate (minus TotSC...I thought it sucked :p )
4) Neverwinter Nights

350239924780238182821025) Pool of Radiance

I never played the Icewind Dale series, despite being a Drizzt freak. Everyone told me it was really hack-and-slash, and I'm really not a fan of that, especially with 2E rules :(

1.) IWD1 + HOW + TOL
2.) BG1 + TOSC
3.) PS:T (didn't finish it, so go ahed and insult me.)
4.) BG2 + TOB

I anticipate IWD2 bumping PS:T. Probably not BG1. These rankings, BTW, are very close. I never played POR, I just couldn't see spending any money or time on such a poor product. I can't play NWN because my sound card isn't good enough. Any patch coming to fix that, or do I really need a new card?

[Post the details on your sound card in the NWN forum and we'll see.] -Tal

1. Ps:T [What a game  ]
2. Bg2:Tob [nice when you need stress relief and just want a quick uber (relatively) character to play with]
3. BG1 [the original, the classic]
4. BG2:Soa [hmm 3&4 change over depending on which i played most recently]
5. IWD [only played half of it, but it was great fun]
6. NWN [the toolest is nice but even though my computer is pretty close to the reccomended specs i get absolutely huge amounts of slow-down, especially in convos. Nice graphics but i prefer the graphics of the infinity engine, more RPG'ish {to me atleast). Well atleast it was a present so i didn't waste any of my own money on it :) ]

Haven't got IWD2 yet (live in england) and have (luckily) never had the misfortune to play PoR2.

A note on Ps:T. I don't know why people play through the first part of the mortuary and then think it is bad. The mortuary is not a bad area - you get morte, you get the whole morbid, gothy setting, you get some easy quests, you get the opening of the story etc. It sets the whole scene so well, you wake up on a slab in the mortuary, so simple and yet such a complex and intricate story is woven from such a humble beginning.

PS I LOVE Ps:T

Well, technically NWN isn't AD&D, it's 3E, but since I think this thread is more about games using any D&D ruleset, here's my list:

1. Planescape Torment
2. BG2 + TOB
3. IWD2
4. NWN
5. IWD + HoW + ToTL
6. Baldur's Gate TOS

joacqin
Sun, 8th Sep '02, 11:58pm
1.BG2+ToB
2.PST
3.BG
4.NWN
5.IWD
Thats basicly the only D&D games I remember and have played. Bg2 has something special and IWD is just mindlessly boring.

best:

baldurīs gate -> started the renaissance, besides i really liked the fact, that you didnīt know where the plot would take you for most of the game.

pools of darkness -> the best of the old gold boxes, huge, challenging battles and finally vga and sb-support

icewind dale -> we still kill the old way. looks like new, plays like one of the gold boxes. cool, literally...

baldurīs gate 2 -> more for being epic, i donīt like the development of the plot too much in the end...uhm...maybe even in the beginning itīs far too obvious where this all will take you. good graphics though.

eye of the beholder 2 -> the outside world sucked, but it still kicked ass in the cellars...

death knights of krynn -> pretty nice undead scenario.

savage frontiers saga -> though it had miserable critics i could draw a lot of fun out of it.

worst:

throne of bhaal -> unnecessary. it completed the plot, but somehow in a predictable and boring way.

secret of the silver blades -> argh. those tunnels. miles and miles and miles of stupid tunnels...

menzoberranzan/stone prophet/ravenloft -> mid 90īs were horrible for d&d rpg, iīd rather sticked to arkania and m&m then. better grafx, better gameplay.

hillsfar -> well, us gold and ocean were two of the early 90ies companies, whose success i could never comprehend. stupid jumpīnīrun adaption of krynn-scenario

heroes? of the lance -> another us gold-cripple.

Oh, yeah! Heroes of the Lance! I completely forgot about that. I had it on NES. I thought it was pretty cool at the time, but I was also like 8 and didn't know Tasslehoff Burrfoot from Ronald Reagan. Looking back, and now knowing the characters, I'd probably think it sucks...but not as bad as PoR :p
