Hey, I'm installing KOTOR 1 on a brand new computer. The game is supposed to work with a Geforce 4400 video card, and works with a Geforce 6600, but it freezes on a Geforce 7900 GS. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.

Did you make sure you have the latest drivers? I would think that you probably do with having such a new PC and video card, but that is all that I can think of.

I believe it might all come down to a single setting which doesn't work the same on the new cards as it did in the old time. Downward compatibility is not always such a field of roses. Hardware makers or driver coders seem sometimes to presume that you won't play old games on your new card.

The solution is easy: upgrade to KOTOR2. It's so much better anyway. :D
