Can anyone tell me of any good novels with Demogorgon? After playing Throne of Bhaal, I want to learn more about this bad boy. Also, are there any novels about the Time of Troubles?

Taluntain Mon, 2nd Jul '01, 11:20am I don't think there are any novels about Demogorgon. I'm sure it appeared in a module or two, but that's about it. He's just one of the demon princes, which there are quite a number of. It's most famous probably because Gygax threw it in the MM back in 1977 so it's been around for a while. (And saw many incarnations over the 3 editions of D&D thus far.) As for Time of Troubles... There should be some but I can't really think of any off the top of my head. (Most that I remember happen either before or a bit after it.) joacqin Mon, 2nd Jul '01, 12:12pm Salvatores Legacy of the Drow takes partially place during the time of troubles but there isnt much about it. In those books the time of troubles is max 1 year i thought that to be a short time to do all all the things that apparently happened during the time of troubles. (I think it was Cyric that killed Bhaal if I am not mistaken.) I am fairly new to D&D. The original Baldur's Gate was what introduced me to D&D. Can anyone recommend some good Forgotten Realms novels? I have read Salvatore's Dark Elf Trilogy and Icewind Dale Trilogy, and loved them both, but I need some more good books. Tyresian Wed, 4th Jul '01, 6:18am Read the avatar trilogy by richard awlinson to find out about the time of troubles. To find learn more about Cyric read the prince of lies and crucible: the trial of cyric the mad which tells about him after he became a god. And don't forget to order those books through amazon through the links at sorcerers place. http://www.sorcerers.net/Books/index_fr.htm :) :) [This message has been edited by Tyresian (edited July 04, 2001).] |
