How powerful is this mage?

I was just curious, as I know little about him, yet he seems a major character in the Forgotten Realms.

Anyone have an address, his stats, or even just his level? I was interested to see if he approached Elminster, who, last I heard, was level 27.

especially in the histories of Shadowdale. There's probably more about him in the Elminster books, but I have yet to find out. I just started reading the El trilogy so it'll take a while. ;)

Khelben Blackstaff is level 27 the last i heard. Ofcourse this might change next year when TSR release the new Forgotten Realms box set for 3rd Ed.

I have the Elminster trilogy and have read it. I enjoyed it thoroughly but I don't seem to recall there being all that much said about Khelben Blackstaff. But most of the stuff in the trilogy deals with times far removed..... ;)
