Once more i am bored and was just wondering if anyone is interested at all in history or historical books and would they like to share their knowledge with us just out of interest and the fact i have a ravonous apetite for history.

Richard Hermann books. Especially the one about how football (european) was invented and the one about the brittish royalties and prime ministers through time. Hermann is excellent!

"Caesar" by Christian Meier is great straight history. (about Julius)
The coolest history I've read is "I, Claudius" and it's followup whose name I can't recall. They're written from a first person point of view about maybe the coolest of the Caesar's -- Claudius the Idiot (who is anything but an idiot) Great read and critically acclaimed so you feel like you're actually educating yourself as well as enjoying it.
