I picked up "The Eyes of God" by John Marco from the library yesterday and have just started reading it. Has anyone read it yet? I hate picking books blind, but the selection was terrible ... and I want to know if its worth the 700+ pages.

Spoke to a friend of a freind who said the book was worth the 700+ pages if you had nothing better to do, but if a better option came along, go with that one

I read approx. 200 pages over the weekend, and so far, its a good, but bland story.

The young idealistic king marries a beauty, who betrays him with the king's best friend / champion (can you say King Arthur, Gwenevier & Lancelot?) .

The character developement is very good, and I think John Marco has the makings of a great writer ... however the plot so far isn't too original. I guess I'll finish it to see how it is.
