No spoilers please.
Thoughts and opinions on the writing style. I quite like the story so far in the Farseer Trilogy, (up to book 2) but I have found the italics sections at the beginnings of each chapter a little bit out of place. The Wit and the Skill are a refreshingly new way to explore the concept of magic. Very nice.

Loved the first trilogy and how the suspension rised untill the very end. Very well written. I am now reading the liveship traders which so far (half in book 1) I find not so compelling as the farseer trilogy. It is so far completely different as the farseer trilogy and I'm still getting used to it.

I didn't find the italics sections out of place. Sometimes they're rudundant, as they serve as a reminder of already explained background informations or passed events. I skipped over a lot of them, if they were to redundant. But then again, if they're letters or Chades notes, they often contain a funny twist.

I have only read the first trilogy but it was one of the best I have ever read.
The italics parts at the start of each chapter were great. I imagined them being read by someone with an old voice, remembering the past.

I nearly forgot. The name-concept is intriguing. Every name means something, and the most telling are the ones like Tom ,Molly or Ginna. Those are the ones truest to their meaning.

Dont know about Molly or Ginna but Tom means tomcat I think. That said the meaningful names are not consistent throughout the series and to mostly be something that exist in the Duchies and not everywhere there.

Has anyone read the books Hobb wrote as "Megan Lindholm"? As far as I can tell, they're all out of print, or I'd've picked them up by now.

I bought some, all I can say is that I did not finish them. I bought two and read half of the first one and then put it down to never look back. Nothing good, nothing good at all in my eyes. Was quite disapointed.

@AMaster
I thought "Luck of the Wheels" was pretty good, not as good as the Robbin Hobb books though.
