Can get a lot from Xanth series fairly cheaply and a few series from Mercedes. How are them? I'm not after Erikson level of stuff but if I'm to get them I hope they are resonably good :)

As far as Xanth, it depends on what you find good. It's full of fun stories with lots of puns, aimed I would say at more of the adolescent crowd. I read them when I was younger and stopped when I was older.
