If dial-up access is causing problems for your downloads, I really suggest you try using a simple (and free) download manager that allows you to resume downloads when your connection has been interrupted. There are lots out there, and it will make your life *so* much easier. When I had dial-up I used a program called GoZilla, but it looks like that software now has a lot of problems with ad-overkill. But there are hundreds of others! Once you have a program that allows you to pause and resume, you can download any size at your leisure.
DragonRider SkyWard Wed, 5th Jun '02, 12:18am Unfortanly getting a download manager is not an option for me.

DragonRider SkyWard Wed, 5th Jun '02, 12:47pm One word, Dad. He wont let me mess with some stuff on the computer.
Is their any way that I can turn off go-zilla when I'm not using it?
Gnolyn Lochbreaker Wed, 5th Jun '02, 2:20pm When I used it, yes I could 'turn it off' because I didn't set it as the default. I can't say for sure if that would work for the latest version. For most software, as long as you don't set it as the 'default' application for a particular job type, it will only work (run) when you tell it to. But you should always read the accompanying documentation before hand if this is what you are worrying about. It's also a good idea to see if there are user opinions about it too - they often say what the developer doesn't ;) But there are tons of download management applications out there, most from credible development companies. Look around and check them out first. Especially if the PC is not technically yours.

Headbanger Thu, 6th Jun '02, 12:15pm Try a download in from somewhere a bit close to where you live. After a few times having no luck, I used Download Accelerator and Daggerfall.de mirror and had it in 70 minutes....

CUE Mon, 24th Jun '02, 4:24pm I use Real Download. It comes with the free version of the Real Audio player. It can be toggled on/off as well. If you have an old version of the player, just go to their web site and get the new stuff.
Errol Tue, 25th Jun '02, 5:24pm Stupid question from non-NWN owner.:p
Do you get the NWN Toolset in the NWN game? Or do I have to spend two days downloading it? I've got the NWMap program, is the Toolset like this? I'm getting NWN delivered in a few days, and i was wondering...:hmm:
Blackthorne TA Tue, 25th Jun '02, 7:10pm Yes, the toolset comes with the game; you actually have to uninstall the beta toolset before installing the released NWN.
