Since the topic of downloading the CEP was brought up I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any modules out yet making use of it?

View Full Version : CEP..are there any good modules out yet? Dragonfly Wed, 7th Apr '04, 5:04am Since the topic of downloading the CEP was brought up I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any modules out yet making use of it? Sir Belisarius Wed, 7th Apr '04, 1:11pm There are two demo modules that are included in the download, but I don't think any new content has popped up yet...Check the Neverwinter Vault. Taluntain Wed, 7th Apr '04, 2:16pm I don't think there are any out yet. CEP offers so much content it'll take a while before we start seeing modules using its whole potential. ArtEChoke Wed, 7th Apr '04, 3:08pm http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules/ Yes, there are a number of CEP mods out already. On the page, look under the "Patch" column, it will say what version of nwn is needed, and if CEP is used. I don't think any of the mods using CEP are going to be any good right now. I know just from reading the description of, "Crystal Blue" (player levels 40 to 40  ) it does not look good, "CEP creatures and items galore! A module you can sink your teeth into." The thumbnail of the mod has a guy fighting Lolth  Most of the other mods have the same odd level requirements: Trouble in Silvertown; levels 1-40! The Troubled World; 13-40, a mod called, "Sigil, the half-assed version" has a broken link, and there's a 1st level horror mod called, The burial of the dead. These guys are just hammering out some quick hack n slash hoping to be the first CEP mods to get into the Hall of Fame. It'll be a while before the good material surfaces. Dragonfly Thu, 8th Apr '04, 5:19am I think I'll wait a while to try any new CEP modules. I did end up discovering Crystal Blue and giving it a whirl. After about 10 minutes I regreted having wasted perfectly good hard-drive space for it. I put it in the recycle bin faster than a mouse on a cat farm. Maybe something interesting will surface in three or four months. Alavin Thu, 8th Apr '04, 11:29pm Wait about a year (at least...) and mine might be finished. Hurrah! Rolsuk Fryulee Sun, 11th Apr '04, 4:47am That goes for me too. I'm working on a BG old fashion style adventuring mod. Lots o' detail so it will take about a year or two to finish it as I find little time to actually work on it. I'm getting the CEP to add some more detail and more of a forgotten realms feel to it. Well, thats enough of this post before it becomes an advertisement. Dragonfly Mon, 12th Apr '04, 6:06am Well, let me know when either of you have finished your modules and I will gladly download them and give them a try  I'm sure they will both be very entertaining. |
