Neverwinter Nights Aurora Toolset

* Added a "Test Module" option to the toolset's Build menu that allows you to quick launch the game (for testing module changes). Selecting this option will give you the choice of saving your module changes. The game will then automatically launch, load the module, select the first available premade character in the list and enter gameplay with that character. The Hot Key for this new functionality is F9.This is one of the best things they've added since... well, since the game began! This option will speed up testing sooo much, it's just not funny.

Has anyone tried this function out yet? A Land Far Away hasn't upgraded to the latest patch, so haven't had a chance to play around wiht it. Is it just like the normal game, or something different? And can you exit back out of it easily, into the toolset? And of course, does it take very long to load?

I agree that's a great function. But every time I try to download the patch, it says it was corrupted and restarts. It happened 12 times before I gave up. The Critical Rebuild is downloading now.

Can't wait to try it! This will make me more eager to test the modules myself rather than handing the job to an underling.

I have tried it, it's ok since it does not require the CD and starts immidiately when you push the button. The problem is though that with my stoneaged machine it takes ages for NWN to start especially when you have the toolset running on the background. Still a nice feature though.

On the negative side the patch has garbled all the CEP female heads making them look like giraffes. I believe there are hak and override fixes to that problem but it I believe it will be fixed in the next CEP patch too. Some peristant worlds have been complaining about intolerable lag brought by this patch but I can't really confirm it since I don't play on one.

On the point of not requiring the CD, mine seems to be okay without the CD all the time. No cracks, no virtual CDs, no proper CDs, it just runs. My friend tried it, and it's the same for him too. Have they taken out the CD requirements in their patch? I love companies that do that! :D

Haven't looked at it myself (haven't upgraded yet so I've had no need to) but it should work, knowing the DLA crew.

Don't use the DLA fix.

It's working (afaik), but a CEP fix for it would be much better.

(the DLA fix may cause problems with the CEP fix once both are out)
