Well, here we go, one more forum added to our ever-growing boards. It occured to me that some of you might have questions about the site and boards that you could easily ask here instead of bugging me with mail or PM, and possibly even get help from other members.

This forum is also intended for commenting on any site news I post, and I'll probably start copying my site news in here every time as well so that you may easily comment.

Aside from that, any ideas for improvement of the site and boards are always welcome, so don't be shy about making suggestions here.

I will also be posting various tasks here on a regular basis that I will need done; things that would take some time for me to do, but could also easily be done by anyone else. In this way I hope to get more things done since everything won't have to wait for me, and those who will volounteer to do various odd jobs here and there will be suitably rewarded with a custom avatar and title, and possibly more.

Anyway, that's it for me at the moment. Now I'd like to hear from the rest of you as well. ;)

Anyway, good idea, as there seems to be an increase on members lately, and they might not know what the rules are.

This forum is definetly a good idea.
Now, should we move old Whatnots' posts that deal with SP in here, or we'll skip that part because those refer to old UBB version?
I mean number of avatar questions, IMG tags and such?

I bet all the newbies will keep posting their questions in Whatnots until they read this. :p

This is definetly a good idea tal :thumb: - perhaps finally whatnots will be free of all the newbies posts about the gems/custom avataars and other stuff covered in the faq which they have clearly not read.

Extremist, only if they're brought again up in Whatnots, I don't think we need to bother otherwise. And if any such new questions pop-up in Whatnots, they should be moved here, of course.

Once UBB finally gets stickies I'll post some more important links as stickies here as well, so that they'll always be available to read. And those Help Wanted posts, too...

You're already (ab)using the location field for something similar anyway. And titles can only be added for everyone individually by admins.

I think the smilies here are the best the net has to offer, but in order to make them a legend; you need IMHO a ghost smilie, a vamipre smilie (do not forget the tusks and the wingies), a pirate smilie (eye patch included), a hand in V smilie, a polymorph smilie (a werewolf shapeshift smilie), a fireball smilie and a skull with lightning smilie (of course a skull smilie only also).

We're using GMT+1, which shouldn't be any more difficult to convert.

Anyway, if you see good smilies you're welcome to post links to them and if I think they're worth having, I'll add them.

and another one:

to separate the random posts? I think that would make the brainless bigots like ma happier; afer all, we deserve such a place.

Just thinking on the time thing someone posted - would it be possible to put a little clock on the forums? we've seen it on some websites, I dunno if it could be done here.

Yea, it could... But I expect this to be a feature in the future versions of the board, we'll see... For now I'm not changing anything more since I'll have to reapply all mods for the next version upgrade anyway. (Soon.)

Doubt it, not unless you really suck up, or get a portrait. :)

The rules are the same for everyone... A contribution gets you a portrait/avatar and a title. If you contribute again after you have it set up, you can change the whole thing again.
