looking through some old books i read about a guy called shralp, everyone made fun of him even though everyone knows he is the coolest guy on SP :D

What i am trying to ask is: Why does everyone make fun of Shralp? :D

Look, don't get me wrong i like shralp. But... all this hype about him being the greatest being on earth? Bollox i say.

Yeah sure me and him get on well. But then i don't even know the guy, we only know of him through the bloody internet. You guys are all a little sad and i think Shralp feels this too.
Get a life, not a shralp.

hehe

Well said Sir Dargorn.

Shralp is just a guy I know from SP nothing more and neither do I make fun of him.

He just seems like your average guy. (With a talent for humour ;) ) I know nothing about him so I cannot have an opinion on him... :)

BTW this should be in SS...

Who makes fun of Schralp?

I read about people arguing with him, or him arguing with other people, or actually, mostly, just him making comments.

But no one makes fun of him.

He stays fairly informed. I might not agree with him all the time, but he looks around before he makes a call. Which is all you can really ask anyone to ever do.

I just like the sound of the name when you say it
Shralp, shralp, shralp!

It sounds like the noise a barber's razor makes when he's sharpening it on that leather strip.

Well, Shralp can be a wise guy at times...yes, he's occasionally made fun of, but not in a cruel way...he just makes himself open to teasing. Let's just say that we all laugh WITH him not AT him :p :D

Shralp is cool because he says and believes in stuff no sane man would believe in and he still seems to atleat keep a faint grasp of sanity so all my respect goes out to the Shralp and the Shralp clan!

Hmm 3 things have struck me upon reading this topic.

1. out of all the people to reply the great shralp has not, even though it's a topic with his name on it.

2. this topic desperately needed voice inflection as just reading it gives me headaches as to the many ways almost every reply could be interpreted/mis-interprted due to the lack of voice inflection.

3. a soft pillow. = needs voice inflection to be truely understood (see point 2 to understand point 3).

Isn't Shralp an american journalist with a lot of opinions? :1eye: Thats why. We all mock him because we hope for a witty comment from his mastermind, right? *G* :shake:

On the other hand. Everyone gets teased. Its the internet.

I think Sharlp is a fun, conservative capitalist who knows proper grammar ... all the things your current liberal brainwashed sucker is trained to hate.

I don't think of him as a person, he's more of the ideal as to what I could group up and be ... a middle market person who spends his working days playing games and talking in chat-rooms.

God Bless America! ;)

Heh. My what a fun thread I've discovered here. Perhaps I should check Sorcerous Sundries more often than when I'm bored on Columbus Day.

I'm glad several of you enjoy laughing at and/or with me. The feelings are, of course, mutual. In both instances.

Strange that I run across this thread now, because I recently posted about how much of a kick I get out of posting on SP on my web page (http://www.jamiedmcdonald.com/blogger.html).

Shralp is, therefore, I am. He's like that one person at a high school who everybody knows. Everyone either loves him or hates him.

:yot: Aren't Liberals leftwing? Or is that just in Canada?

PS-All I know about Shralp, is that he's got a really messed up sense of humour...and he'd definitely fit into my circle of friends..now *there's* a humourous thought.

The title of this topic sounds like an A&E biography or documentary.

On July 11, 2001. The Internet entity known as Shralp came into being. The Internet was forever changed.

Bah! Shralp existed on Unix systems! Shralp pre-dates your puny Windows systems! Shralp knew vi when it was the most advanced editor around! Shralp can grep like a madman!

[Hurm. Apparently age makes one talk in the third person a lot. Someone get me my hot water bottle.]

Ah, Shralp - Shralp is always good for an argument; his intelligent statements and retorts are things lacking on many boards today...

Minced words with Shralp are in the good-natured intellectual fencing style...

My metaphorical hat is off...
