View Full Version : How do you get an Avatar here? Aces Thu, 12th Dec '02, 1:24am I used the code but it won't work... Must you be a certain level? [ December 12, 2002, 11:27: Message edited by: Taluntain ] ejsmith Thu, 12th Dec '02, 2:48am You have to go drinking with one of the mods, and not throw up the whole night. That's why there not too many. Dragon's Jewel Thu, 12th Dec '02, 3:52am You have to read ALL of the forum rules and then smack yourself repeatedly. Trust me. Blackthorne TA Thu, 12th Dec '02, 4:36am http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/faq.html#custom Signatures and images have been disabled on these forums. Aces Thu, 12th Dec '02, 6:43am Disabled... That explains it. I thought I was using the wrong code. There are so many now. HTML; UBB; Ez-board has it's own too. Were people abusing the Avatars? I'm so use to pics and titles. It's hard to get a feel for people's personality without a picture. At least for me... I remember folks by the image more often than by the name. :nolike: Z-Layrex Thu, 12th Dec '02, 5:12pm Sure, simple graphics signatures are fine, but then you get idiotic Noobs who post huge oversized images of monkeys or something. Nobleman Thu, 12th Dec '02, 6:07pm Yup, Z-Layrex. And it escalates. Some Bozos always just have to have the biggest signatures with the most flashy colours and the most lame quotes that only themselves adore. On this forum we do something rarely seen. We don't look at pretty pictures, We talk... And read the FAQ's as we are supposed to :1eye: :shake: EDIT; If you like you can always put your signature in your profile ;) [ December 12, 2002, 18:15: Message edited by: Nobleman ] Extremist Thu, 12th Dec '02, 10:09pm Aces, sorry for your disappointment, but the purpose of SP is to have fun on the topic and not to make Ez-board copy with "who's one's bigger" competitions. Um, this sounds... But I refer to sigs. Aces Thu, 12th Dec '02, 10:15pm It was the avatar I missed. Sigs are ok, but not vital. *makes a mental note* When it comes time to buy Icewind Dale use Amazon.com or Chips and Bits through this site. I'll get an Avatar then huh? :p :D Taluntain Thu, 12th Dec '02, 10:34pm Indeed. Tarol'azh, a.k.a.Tobias Fri, 13th Dec '02, 12:03am What does 'Noobs' mean? Possibly an allusion to the notorious Noober? Blackthorne TA Fri, 13th Dec '02, 12:40am A noob typically refers to anyone online who's unfamiliar/new with the environment/culture in which they find themselves. I would hazard a guess that it started out as newbie, referring to someone new, and was changed by the l337 into n00b. It typically has negative connotations. What's wrong with pictures of oversized monkeys?! Just kidding :D , maybe I should buy something from chips and bits, hmm but what? I'll wait for the coming of 'the temple of elemental evil' He Tal, do you HAVE some avatars of oversized monkey's? :o Taluntain Fri, 13th Dec '02, 11:44am Not unless they appear in any of the games covered on SP. (They don't, FYI.) Master of Nuhn Fri, 13th Dec '02, 1:22pm Bioware would have to fuse with LucasArts then. Won't see that happen anytime soon. :D But I'm sure you would find your passport photo here. :p Apeman Fri, 13th Dec '02, 2:10pm Pity, almost makes me wonder if I should move to the Lucasarts boards.........almost that is  :D Register Sat, 14th Dec '02, 8:06pm will i get my own avatar if i send a group of well made weapons and items from the D&D movie to sorcerers.net... i dont think so but as long there is life there is hope... Morgoth Sat, 14th Dec '02, 8:59pm Bioware would have to fuse with LucasArts then. Erm, Knights of the Old Republic?? Saruman Sat, 14th Dec '02, 9:31pm Monkey Island actually ;) The Soul Forever Seeking Sun, 15th Dec '02, 3:14am I'm perfectly happy with my little jewel as it is. That and I'm impatient, and only buy things at stores. Right now it's an Andar, but I hope to make it to Rogue Stone someday. (I made a post about that exact topic somewhere.) Aces Sun, 15th Dec '02, 10:09pm Wow! I got a new jewel! :thumb: It will have to do for now. ;) |
