Does anyone out there know whether I can play multiplayer WITHOUT having a network card or logging on via modem? I'd like to try my own party (like IWD), but am restricted to all the NPC's (Non-believable Phoney Croney's - well - maybe not THAT bad, but it'd still be nice...)

Just make your characters in multiplayer, export them and then in single player mode, import them. You'll have the party you want, just like in IWD.

That's how I am playing, Multi Player with 3 of my own characters in a single/multipalyer environment. Does the game not let you if you don't have the tcp/ip protocol installed?
