Well, as it says, a lot of our more...colorful personalities have gone or are leaving. But why? And who's next?

Dunno? I've always found the forums to be rather fun and interesting. I hope I don't vanish soon, but you never know, big brother is watching...

I am leaving.

For a week, or so. I think I got mad at Chev. But I ma not sure. So now I am mad at him for not telling me if I am mad at him. :p :shake:

Some people just take the internet (amongst other things) way to seriously.

I'm leaving. What? No one is crying? Okay, I'll come then. :o

Define 'more colourful person.' A person you like, or a person some people like more than others? ;)

I bet that BTA is leaving next. :p

People come and go all the time. Saying that "everyone" is leaving because of two posts about it in SS recently is silly.

BTA won't leave, he enjoys the POWER of Moderatordom too much! ;) :p

I find it interesting when people post that they are leaving...It's almost like a cry for attention. as if people are looking for posts begging them to stay.

When I go...You just won't see any more posts from me. Whenever that is. But the Alley was set up as a separate forum for a reason; it's controversial, and it will ruffle people's feathers! Remember the old wisdom: Opinions are like a$$holes, everyone has them!

If you can't handle the heat, stay out of the alley.

Well, Bel, if you don't say that you are leaving and just stops to post, we will all wonder where you have gone and what have happened. Look at Extremist, but unfortunatly we were right about him car-crash.

More colorful personalities as in Shura, maybe I'll go to his place and annoy him for a bit.

Loads of people come and go all time, temporarily or permanently. It's just that they don't all announce it formally (and certainly not those that arrive).

I have been thinking of leaving many times, but have never been able to never turn back.

To some extend, I feel this place is my home, and Tal's my dad, lol, sorry for the metaphor :D hope it doesn't offend.

I like it here, people are sane (usually), many cultures to explore. And even though I kinda gave up posting the big spam, SP still has an alluring charm that's just too good to miss out on. SP have become a ritualistic addiction thing for me, the morning cup of coffee.

So hail SP! You'll never get rid of me till the servers die, I have no internet, or other similar gruesome fate hits me :D

Well, actually, I WAS gone this past week - Out of town on business!

And just look at what happens when I'm not here to wield that power I love so dearly: Things get out of hand! ;)

Anyway, relax people; stop taking things said on a D&D fansite so seriously. The only reason *I* don't post much any more on the Alley is that I just end up repeating myself for the umpteenth time, and we go round and round saying the same stuff. After the first zillion times, I was still able to be baited into a response, but after umpteen times, it's tough to even bait me

I think I have noticed Shuara(?) and Falagorn or Faragone(?) leave since I have been using this site well at least the only people who have made goodbye threads. That is hardly a lot. I noticed all this commotion about goodbye threads and people leaving, it is not necessary surely.

You heard it here first, folks - contrary to popular belief, "umpteen" is a bigger number than a "zillion"! You mean there's a popular belief I'm contrary to? Unbelievable!

Maybe I should have said "umpty-ump" times instead of "umpteen"... Sounds bigger huh? ;) Or maybe even "umpteen zillion"!

Greetings!

This is a very appropriate topic for me to find after logging in for the first time in about nine months. I doubt anyone noticed though.
:D

At any rate, the main reason I left was that I was busy with my new job and didn't have extra time to post. It also didn't help that I found a lot of the topics tiresome. The fora I liked the most were the CRPG (Baldur's Gate, etc.) and The Alley. After a while I finished the games and I spent more time in the Alley. Unfortunately, I found that a lot of people didn't respect other people's opinions. Worse, they were unwilling to even consider they were mistaken. Posts often included a lot of name calling and what have you. I'm going to see what's up there after this post.

I don't know why others would leave. I guess most people eventually grow tired or just want to try new things. If you like it here good for you.
