Any chance that the UBB.Classic forum software can be updated to a newer release?
Also, it would be nice if the restriction that prevents one from posting if the thread's previous post is their own could be, well, lifted.
Oh, and the Quick Reply--great thing, that, but it sadly does not work for me (as in, it doesn't show up at all).

AFAIK, it's being updated to vBulletin shortly.

"Shortly" in a meaning: "maybe sometime next year." :D
I don't think there anything wrong with the current one: there is enough smilies, it works as should, and the layout is good enough.
Btw, do we lose our post count, joining date, and avatar in the process? :hmm:

We won't be upgrading this UBB any more; we'll be switching to vB as soon as possible. However, Jelsoft still haven't released the new importers, so I can't do anything at this point. I'm waiting until the conversion process can be done as quickly and with as little losses as possible.
The "no replying to your own post until someone else does" is deliberate, and has been in effect here since forever. It cuts down on the amount of spam and needless posts tremendously, and is one of the reasons why our board isn't full of crap like 99% of other boards.
Quick Reply is a feature of newer UBB.classics than ours. This one doesn't have it.
