I'll be putting up a FAQ (frequently asked questions) page in the new design so, obviously, I need as many regularly asked SP questions as I can get to fill it up. I'm so used to answering them that I can't think of many right now, but I'm sure that they're still fresh in the minds of many of our visitors.

To make it clear, the FAQ will be for and about the Sorcerer's Place WEBSITE, not these boards. The boards already have a good FAQ.

List any and all questions below. Thanks!

Falstaff beat me to it. Seriously, sheesh! It looks as if not only some people replying here didn't bother to read my post whole, but also never bothered to check the board FAQ! Go read it here (http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/faq.html).

Well, it's not a frequently asked question. Actually, it's never been asked thus far. :shake:

And considering the FAQ's not supposed to be a collection of funny questions and answers, it's not really fitting. Anyone interested in chev can contact him via his SP mail anyway. SP isn't his personal dating service. (Unless I missed something.) :D

The questions posted should primarily be about the site & content on it.

"How do I get my walkthrough/mod/portraits etc on SP?"

"Why is there nothing about <insert game name> on SP?"

"How can I donate money to help with the running costs of SP?"
"Where can I buy SP merchandise?"

Here is a suggestion:

Type up the Mystra commands for registering, setting passwords, etc. on the FAI part of SP. It would be SO much more easier for new members (and ops trying to guide them), if the steps were clearly laid out, from A to Z, so there's no confusion or question about the process.

Or have a small section of the FAQ devoted to the chatroom, there's quite a few questions that come up on an awful lot.

"I got banned from the chatroom. WTF was that for?"

"What should I do if I disagree with any of the chatroom rules?"

I was thinking more along the lines of:

Q) How do I register with Mystra?
Q) Mystra doens't recognize me anymore, what do I do?
Q) what's a public?
Q) Do I have to pay for mIRC?
Q) How do I set an infoline?
Q) How do I remove my infoline?

And such like.

Q) Does SP give technical support?
Q) Can Taluntain scrub my socks?
Q) What is defined as SPAM around here? (Believe it or not, but almost every board has a different defination).

Anyway, I believe you have it all covered. If people cannot figure out the rest, then they probably were doomed from the start. :D

Q) Could you post a link to the FAQ?

There's a link at the top of every page of these forums (even the page where you post a reply I see :) ). It's on the right side below the ad banner... it says "faq". :eek:
