I've set my preferences to show the topics from the last two days but I always get either 60 or 100 days. My settings used to work when I first joined. Can anyone help?

It's possible that we had no default views set for the forums you were viewing back then, but I'm not sure about that. Default topic views you can set in your profile only work if there are no set defaults for a specific forum. And currently, I think pretty much every forum has its own set defaults, which are overriding your preferences.

The question I have is why would you need to have your default views set to 2 days? It doesn't hurt anything if more of them show, and there are dates next to everything. Also, the new post indicators will always automatically show you what's new in any forum since your last visit... you do know how that works? Any yellow icons next to a thread mean new posts in them since your last visit, any whites nothing new?

It just makes it easier for me to view. The less I see on the page, the better. I usually check within two days and so I set my preferences there. It's not a big issue. It used to work and I thought I might have changed something. Thanks for the info.
