Just to start things rolling:

In book 7 of the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Pink Dragon Disciple", it will be discovered that Tal is the dark Lord Voldemort!

Based on another post of mine I think Tal discovered he was a descendant of Bhaal through the dragon line. Thus the change in Avatar. He will now try to gather all the other descendants and, of course, take over the world.

The truth of the new portraits:
The dark sect known as The Supreme Portait Secrecy Account Holders try to tap on the powers of the cinister Second Man called 'Extremist' to adorate the vile Taluntain, who tries (an seemingly succeeds) to corrupt our souls and transform us into enslaved internet/roleplaying geeks.

chevalier is clearly both a member of Catholic sect Opus Dei, and a Templar Knight. Think about it: the unhealthy obsession with paladins; and that comment "Knight of the Everfull Chalice" may sound like a statement of eternal optimism (the glass is half-full, etc.) but is in fact a knightly order! He is using his influence to spread the Word and dominate the internet one forum at a time. He already controls our news. Eventually, he will convert the 'net, and assume the papacy. Ideally, it would have been in succession to JPII (Polish double-bill), but Benedict XVI had to be brought in as a stop-gap.

Tal is just trying, in an insidious, round-about way, to encourage Spelly to change her avatar. And when she does, Tal can claim her old one as his own!

I think we are all labrats in the test of Dr. Tal. He has developed a machine which can change the people on these boards to their forum avatars and connected it to the server. So basically we're all turning to our avatars. Splunge was the first victim and after the successful test with Splunge the evil and mad Dr. Tal decided to change his avatar to a dragon a form in which he may finally take over the world!

Tal-un-tain really a thinly-veiled reference to Thurn-und-Taxis, the shadowy aristocratic family granted by Emporer Frederick III in 1490 a monopoly over all communications within the Holy Roman Empire, and subsequently acting behind the scenes as an international power-broker. "Prince Tal" (or should I say, Hubertus Ludwig Maria Max Karl Ferdinand Egon, Dreizehnte Prinz von Thurn und Taxis), as a direct descentant of the true lineage of Thurn und Taxis, is a central figure in the Bilderburg inner circle, and will ascend to chairmanship sometime in 2011, at which point Tal will essentially rule the international government for the standard Bilderburg tenure of 666 days.

Although no connections to Tal have yet been established, allegations have been made (and then quickly dropped after the disappearance of the accusers) that hidden mind control software is incorporated within all Infinity Engine games. Whether this has anything to do with rumors that Tal is assembling a zombified "Secret Police Service" (SPS) loyal only to him remains a matter of conjecture.

These forums are really unique; I've never seen something like this anywhere, the best ever; you wouldn't find something so amazing and so funny.
I spent all the evening looking for something funny to say here but is imposible, you guys and girls are way to much funny (and I don't have that much english vocabulary :( )

I just think that Tal isn't really the boss here, he and the others are under the hand of Mystra, who wants to rule the universe.

I have to bump this thread since I've noticed serious flaws in my people-changing-to-avatar theory. Now Catbert and Tal are obviously plotting to put a new code in the avatar changer maschine to make it better and faster, but my trouble is really why Catbert's avatar is a cat. Now why would he, the chief coder of SP want to turn himself into a cat? It could be of course that Catbert has some sick wierd fantasy about being a cat but I find it highly unlikely. In my professional and educated research I've come to the conclusion that Catbert has to be blind and Tal is using the poor man to his evil plans by promising the return of his sight. Little does Catbert know that Tal has actually changed his avatar to a cat and once the changes are complete he will eat up poor Catbert while he is in his weak and fragile cat form.

Now to the second obvservation. It is obvious that the avatar of BTA is lothar a powerful mage from the planescape universe who is one of the few capable in destroying the nameless one (Planescape Torment reference). Now this makes BTA very powerful and perhaps even a threat to Tal's vile plans of world conquest. Will we se an avatar change with BTA or will perhaps he just mysteriously disappear or perhaps he will actually manage to stop Tal's evil plans, but what will he do then? Will he be the good man and destroy all traces of Tal's experimentations or will he take over the project and conquer the world all by himself or....?

Now for the final chapter of this analysis which will contain a serious warning. Beren has changed his avatar to Haer Dalis which can really be because of one thing, he thinks that his previous avatar might not have been enough to seduce the one who will eventually (hopefully never) choose the Jaheira portrait. For now Beren is uninterested in the powergame of BTA and Tal and concentrates only on finding a way to get resurrect his true love to reality. So whatever you do folks, do not, and I repeat DO NOT choose the Jaheira avatar! The consequences of such and careless action might be more dire than you can even imagine!

I believe Tal to actually be the Pink Panther. The Pink Dragon -> The Pink Panther. eh, eh? Also Tal aka "Pinky" has chosen to take a pink dragon as an avatar instead of some other pink creature because Tal feels the need to compensate because he is a mouse. And I correct my previous theory, Tal aka 'Pinky' did not actually kill The Brain, but rather The Brain is Catbert! They are working together to take over the world with this message board. And they've both chosen avatars of creatures the fear. As they a mice, Catbert aka 'The Brain' chose a cat avatar to represent what he fears and he expects us to fear. And Tal aka 'Pinky' chose a dragon as an avatar to instill fear in SPers and chose the colour pink to match his name 'Pinky', well its red but as kuemper mentioned it could very well be a sun burn. So there you have it, Tal is Pinky and Catbert is The Brain :grin:

But fear not fellow SPers, Pinky and The Brain never succeed, well almost never but if they do succeed they give up or lose the power sooner or later. That's right, I've puzzled it out!! The truth is laid bare! :rolleyes:

Taluntain is actually of the infinitely rare "Ruby Dragon" gem dragon species. Rubies come in lighter and darker shades of red, so a (relatively) young ruby dragon might appear almost pink. (The elf avatar was simply Tal experimenting with his polymorphing abilities.)

As the sole (known) surviving member of the species, we can only extrapolate the stats of his species. Alignment would be LN naturally, and judging by the immense power he's accumulated, we can only assume that ruby dragons are even more powerful than their amethyst cousins. Maturing powers exhibited so far seem to be technological in nature:

An idea that've gotten stuck in my head, however, is that Tal is really forming a cult, based on the principles of the order of the Maria Knights from the 12th century. Tal is indeed a reincarnation of the Swordmaster of Marienburg, and he's waiting for a sign in order to create his divine kingdom. When the time comes, he will gather his faithful followers from the order of the SPS account holders, and the soon to be SPS account holders, from the lesser order of the SP message boards, and take over the world. his armies driven by the fear of the whip, and the tormentors iron-bound solleret!
