What did there really happend to the old SP logo? The one with the sorc who had this light thing in her hand that glew up the face? I really liked it.

I think Tal may have stored it somewhere but it's gone from the frontpage along with the old design.

It's sitting on my hard drive along with the rest of the old design...

Maybe you should setup an area to display what SP was like 'back in the day'.

Newegg.com did that. There's a small link on the front page to use newegg with the 'Clasic view'.

Don't know if SP should do the same, though. :rolling:

OMG, I have that picture! It's from a Dungeon Magazine (I'm not terribly good at making up my own adventures :o ), and I've got a copy sitting up in my room.

:) I just really loved that picture, and thought it a shame not to be a part of the SP design anymore.

Actually, the art was by Tony DiTerlizzi ( http://www.diterlizzi.com/ ), used by permission. I got it from his site. I love his work.

It's on the cover of Dungeon Magazine, Issue #55. It was made for Christopher Perkins' PLANESCAPE adventure "Umbra" (p.18).
COVER: Tony DiTerlizzi graces our cover with a fantastic image of Umbra. It's a very thorough adventure (30 pages!), but I never had occasion to use it. :(

Oh, yeah - I booked this wonderful place ages back for the purpose of d/l NPC mods for BG, back before I got consistent 'net access. *wistful sigh*

Well, the old layout might have looked prettier at the first glance because of the nice art, but that's about it. In terms of functionality, features and ease of updating for me, it was a complete miss. SP was way overdue for a complete overhaul.
