It's been another little while since I've been around because I was busying bringing another human being into the world. She was born July 26th, and is brightening my day with her first smiles, and lots and lots of... poo. I'll put some pictures in the photo album when I get them in the computer.

Congrats, Jewel! :)

You women are able to make the most wonderful happenings actually happen, something we men will never have the chance to. It hurts, I've been told, but few things are more wonderful, I bet.

Wonderful news. :) Congratulations!

So many parents among the SPers. And not a single child is born by anyone I know. Not one. So sad. Makes this all the more precious.

Many congrats! One must suffer in order to produce/reach the great things in life, and a new born life is one of those great things, you have endured a painful time with the great result of a child! :D Like others have said, raise him to be a great SPer! Teach him to call Tal grandpa

A very belated thank you to everyone! ( we were on a long distance road trip) She is indeed a light and a joy and other equally fantastic things, so the labour was worth it--though not enough to do it again, bleeaagh. Her name is Evelyn, nice and old-fashioned, and she greatly resembles her father who is a very lovely human being, so that's fortunate for all involved. And now that we have the internet right here in the house, I can lurk around in the whole one hour of free time a day that I get :cackles ominously:
