Disciple of The Watch Tue, 11th Oct '05, 12:39am Turned 22 today
Saber Tue, 11th Oct '05, 12:41am Happy birthday, man.
Arifirh Tue, 11th Oct '05, 12:50am Actually the last poll's (http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?/topic/18/774.html) just over a month old.
I'm 18, for the record, since I don't remember posting there. (Except to quote Monty Python :D )
Ofelix Tue, 11th Oct '05, 12:57am I'm 17. A years days to days younger than Arifirh too.
Isn't that marvealous?
olimikrig Tue, 11th Oct '05, 1:04am I don't actualy see the point in this poll, but nevertheless I am 19 years old..
Felinoid Tue, 11th Oct '05, 1:10am 21 here.
@olimikrig:
The point is to boost your post count silly. . . . Err, I mean to let the members of SP know a little more about you to get some context for your posts. (Yes, that'll do...)
Ofelix Tue, 11th Oct '05, 1:13am @olimikrig:
The point is to boost your post count silly. . . . Err, I mean to let the members of SP know a little more about you to get some context for your posts. (Yes, that'll do...) Of course! Anything to further our understanding of ourselves eh?
who got 1685 post? eh? who? That's me! Oh yeah +1! :hahaerr:
Laiwethel Tue, 11th Oct '05, 1:15am Okay, I feel :geezer: now, even though I know there are loads of others older.
I just turned 23. Ofelix, Arifirh and I have the same birthday, just different years.
Register Tue, 11th Oct '05, 1:35am 18, just as I was last month.
olimikrig Tue, 11th Oct '05, 1:40am @olimikrig:
The point is to boost your post count silly. . . . Err, I mean to let the members of SP know a little more about you to get some context for your posts. (Yes, that'll do...)You know you could just choose to click on my nick if you were dying to know how old I am ;)
NonSequitur Tue, 11th Oct '05, 1:59am Okay, I feel :geezer: now, even though I know there are loads of others older.
I just turned 23. Ofelix, Arifirh and I have the same birthday, just different years. Heh, wait until you're 25, as I am, Laiwethal...
When you hit that point, you can't even lie to yourself about still being in your early 20s any more. My g/f just reached the same age and was in a foul mood about it for weeks. I was a bit more philosophical about it - then again, I still look 20 and get carded for ID everywhere I go.
Now, if Rally, HB, Nakia, Splunge or one of the other older SPers will come along and take my status as Oldest Person On This Thread from me, I'd appreciate it...
Laiwethel Tue, 11th Oct '05, 2:25am @NonSequitur - Yeah, I'm not looking forward to 25. All I can think of is that I'll be halfway to 50.
I get carded for ID occasionally, usually when I visit the States  . Haven't been carded here in Canada for about 9 months.
Enagonios Tue, 11th Oct '05, 2:28am 20, birthday in a month though so look forward to another well-wishing, post count-upping thread from me ;)
Saber Tue, 11th Oct '05, 2:34am I don't actualy see the point in this poll, but nevertheless I am 19 years old.. I want to know what everyone's ages are in relation to mine, so that I can see how old the people I am talking to are.
Actually the last poll's just over a month oldSorry about that, then. I search in whatnots and their archives, rather than this section. I looked for "How old are you" and "Your age" and such. My mistake.
Felinoid Tue, 11th Oct '05, 2:38am Sorry about that, then. I search in whatnots and their archives, rather than this section. I looked for "How old are you" and "Your age" and such. My mistake. More than most people do. :heh: And even if you'd searched in SS, you probably wouldn't have found it unless you searched for "ancient". (It was called "SP Order of Ancientness", IIRC.)
Elwithral Irenicus Tue, 11th Oct '05, 3:22am I'm 13.. 14 on October 17th
:D
Uh.. Yea.
Ofelix Tue, 11th Oct '05, 3:38am So what? I think 8people was about your age when she arrived in SP, I think I was 14 or 15 can't remember... Seriously age doesn't matter....much here.
kuemper Tue, 11th Oct '05, 4:46am You guys/gals are all babies fresh from the crib! I'm the oldest to vote thus far at 35. :geezer: Oh and for the record, I could be everyone's mother, so *watch*it*! :p
Laiwethel Tue, 11th Oct '05, 4:49am kuemper, you win so far!
I no longer feel as old.
Though I wonder where all the other older members of SP are.
Harbourboy Tue, 11th Oct '05, 4:49am Can't believe someone could have missed both SP Order of Ancientness threads.....
Deathmage Tue, 11th Oct '05, 4:54am 16.
Whoa, suddenly I'm old.
Eldular Tue, 11th Oct '05, 4:57am (2x2)4+1= My age :D .
Felinoid Tue, 11th Oct '05, 5:03am @HB: Here's how:
He missed the first one by not being here yet (note the Dec 2004 register), and he missed the second one when he disappeared for two-and-a-half months between July 26 and October 9.
Kitrax Tue, 11th Oct '05, 5:57am Recently turned 21. Yay.
@Eldular, if your age = (2x2)4 + 1 does that mean that the age you *act* = (4+1)2? :p :hahaerr: :rolling:
Lynadin Tue, 11th Oct '05, 8:25am Well I guess I'm one of the oldest in this thread too, since i turn 33 next
But it's good to know, that we are not alone ;)
Gothmog• Tue, 11th Oct '05, 9:34am Turned 19 six days ago.
Weird, how we seem to have so many birthdays around this time. :hmm:
Undertaker Tue, 11th Oct '05, 9:48am I think there was a thread like this. Anyway I'm 22.
Drugar Tue, 11th Oct '05, 10:57am I'm 24 years old.
Alavin Tue, 11th Oct '05, 11:11am I'm 18. 19 in November.
Morgoroth Tue, 11th Oct '05, 11:14am 19 years of age right now. ;)
Shell Tue, 11th Oct '05, 12:18pm Also 22. Seems to be a popular age :)
chevalier Tue, 11th Oct '05, 2:05pm How old are you?Could someone find my glasses and hold my ID for me, so I could check and tell you? :p
Turned 19 six days ago.
Weird, how we seem to have so many birthdays around this time. Now is October, so nine months ago was January. Winter is cold and all, you know... ;)
The Magpie Tue, 11th Oct '05, 2:13pm 22 :geezer:
I'm always curious, though as to why people choose to hide their birthdays; I've got no problem about declaring my age, and can't imagine that changing even as I get older. What reason do others have for keeping shtum, I wonder? :hmm:
Cúchulainn Tue, 11th Oct '05, 2:41pm coming 24 in December :o
Uytuun Tue, 11th Oct '05, 3:05pm 19 going on 20.
I'm going to feel old when I turn 20. I'll have to take up me knitting and card playing again. :shake:
chevalier Tue, 11th Oct '05, 3:11pm @Magpie: Age, location, gender. Some people think the sky's going to fall on their heads if anyone on the internet finds out at least one of those. If I am concerned, everyone's free to do a thorough googling of my nickname, real name, whatever it takes. BTW, 22 years for me (1983 must have been a fertile year), now what the joke didn't work, anyway. ;)
@Uytuun: Don't forget cats. :D
Carcaroth Tue, 11th Oct '05, 3:46pm Rolling ever closer to 30.
Sticker Tue, 11th Oct '05, 5:34pm You guys make me feel like a :geezer: :p
Abdel - Bhaal Spawn Tue, 11th Oct '05, 5:41pm 27 right now 28 in ten days.
Colthrun Tue, 11th Oct '05, 5:52pm I'm a 1978 Grand Reserve.
Seayer Tue, 11th Oct '05, 6:07pm In 10 more days, I turn 32
Sydax Tue, 11th Oct '05, 6:18pm 35 :geezer:
But there are lots of people older than me :heh:
Barmy Army Tue, 11th Oct '05, 6:27pm 21.
Morgoth Tue, 11th Oct '05, 6:33pm I'm 18 for two years now :)
8people Tue, 11th Oct '05, 6:49pm 16 still.
My mother is cutting her honeymoon short to be here for my birthday though :(
Shell Tue, 11th Oct '05, 8:26pm But there are lots of people older than me IIRC when we did an age thread before there were at least two people who ticked 'over 60'
Unless they were elves.....
The Magpie Tue, 11th Oct '05, 8:30pm Yeah, but Splunge and Nakia haven't been online recently. :D
Actually, Splunge has all but disappeared, it seems. I hope it wasn't the relentless mickey-taking about his age thet got him...
Nakia Tue, 11th Oct '05, 8:47pm Man, take a few days off sans computer and you're not around! :) At least I was noticed MIA. :thumb:
It seems to me we just had one of these age things not long ago but maybe it just feels like not long ago in comparison to all my years. :geezer:
I'll vote but anyone desirious of seeing my age can check my profile.
Splunge is caught up in RL I understand. He's not old enough to have leisure time.
edit: Children, 30 is nothing. We have really old people on this board when looked at from you "babies" point of view. :p
Hugo Tue, 11th Oct '05, 9:28pm Still 16, and kicking ass!
I'll be old, ummm, later, if I grow up :D
:borg:
Cap'n CJ Tue, 11th Oct '05, 9:29pm I'm 17, 18 in March.
Shrikant Wed, 12th Oct '05, 7:31am 24. And I have only heard of D&D about 3 years ago.
You guys don't really consider Diablo to be part of this genre do you :p
Rhyllian Thu, 13th Oct '05, 4:04am :help: Let me into the old farts' club! I've been gaming since (cue flash of lightning) Adventure on the Atari 2600!!
I'm 33 (in real time), but somehow, I don't think I'll ever truly "grow up." The old cliche is too true: you are only as old as you feel!
Late-Night Thinker Thu, 13th Oct '05, 5:30am My goiter is only three years old, but unfortunately, so is the adult diaper I am wearing. It has been quite itchy down there for some time.
Carcaroth Thu, 13th Oct '05, 2:44pm Isn't it "Goitre"? Oh sorry, only in the UK.
You can get treatment for over active thyroids you know...
How long have you had nappy-rash? Is it terry-towelling or Pampers?
Am I taking this far too seriously or is it just me?
JSBB Thu, 13th Oct '05, 2:54pm I am roughly 29.956. Damn, that's depressing.
chevalier Thu, 13th Oct '05, 2:59pm And an accountant, don't forget. ;) Says a lawyer wannabie. :hahaerr:
Susipaisti Thu, 13th Oct '05, 3:53pm Okay, I'm 22. Apparently everything's pretty much gone downhill from 1983.
My goiter is only three years old, but unfortunately, so is the adult diaper I am wearing. It has been quite itchy down there for some time.Just wait 'til the diarrhea comes to town...
Djieff Thu, 13th Oct '05, 5:11pm Turned 28 two months ago.
Jack Funk Fri, 14th Oct '05, 10:19pm 39. 40 in March.
Balle Wed, 19th Oct '05, 12:53am i'm 18
Brallrock Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 11:33am I'm one of the older ones clockiing in at 34, with three kids to boot.
How do I get time to play anyways!!
Goli Ironhead Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 12:52pm 14, soon 15
Be my youthness damned!
chevalier Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 3:53pm You'd better enjoy it now before it's gone or you're going to miss it sorely when you're older. ;)
Faye Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 4:43pm 20, turning 21 next month. And strangely, I felt ancient since I turned 18 (not in a vain way, but just felt that my body seems to be failing me), so I don't care about age anymore.
Lost Meme Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 5:13pm 16, but I feel like I'm 160 (unfortunately, this doesn't work when you're trying to get into an 18-rated film ;) )
The Kilted Crusader Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 5:57pm Just turned 18 a couple of weeks ago.
LeFleur Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 6:39pm I'm level 19 :D
already I wonder where all the years have gone ;)
Scot Sat, 22nd Oct '05, 11:36pm 37.
"Men do not quit playing because they grow old; they grow old because they quit playing."
Oliver Wendell Holmes
Takara Sun, 23rd Oct '05, 7:39pm 18 eh Kilty? for some reason I always felt you were 8. Or was that the age of your sense of humour? :p
Guess it reminds me of mine. For me, physically I'm 24 pushing 25, mentally as mentioned around 8.
el timtor Sun, 23rd Oct '05, 8:37pm @Scot
Nice quote :thumb:
And a good age, as well. I, also, am 37.
Mental age, oh maybe 6. :)
kuemper Sun, 23rd Oct '05, 10:26pm Oh? Adding in mental ages now? I think mine's around 4. I really get into watching snails and slugs and comment whenever I see dog or cat poop. :)
Felinoid Sun, 23rd Oct '05, 11:03pm My mental age would be 273 (= 21 x 13), but unfortunately it's a one-byte field, so it just wraps around to 17.
Nakia Mon, 24th Oct '05, 6:26am Mental age? Around 10 or 12.
Nope, not second childhood, I never got out of my first.
Susipaisti Mon, 24th Oct '05, 1:06pm Hunh? Menn-tall aich?
Menn-tul! Menn-tul! (hopping up and down with a gigantic bone in hand)
Schaf Mon, 24th Oct '05, 1:15pm mental age is about 7, actual age is 23. you know, there's a disturbing german movie called 23, it's one of the weirdest numbers ever. illuminati and dan brown, anyone? ;)
p.s.: i don't believe in illuminati and wild conspiracies. or do i?
:D
JSBB Sat, 29th Oct '05, 6:30am Well, I guess it is time for me to up my 29.956 up to 30.0. So much for my 20s. Sigh. For some reason hitting 30 is making me feel old.
Rotku Sat, 29th Oct '05, 11:14am Wow.. another one of these threads. Well, as I'm sure that you've all been sitting glue to your screens, waiting to find out who old Rotku is, I'll put you out of your misery. Rotku is 17 years and 10ish months old! There, now go sleep :p
[Edit] Happy Birthday JSBB!
Splunge Sat, 29th Oct '05, 6:22pm I'm 30.
(Base 15)
Nakia Sat, 29th Oct '05, 6:51pm Thirty is a crux year. :( Your youth is behind you. But take my word for it there's still lots of fun left. :)
Harbourboy Sat, 29th Oct '05, 7:03pm Base 15? That's what happens when you get old, folks. You start finding more elaborate ways to make things sound better than they really are.
Felinoid Sat, 29th Oct '05, 7:15pm So Splunge is 2D in hex? :hahaerr:
EDIT: It means that in hexadecimal (base 16; often used to describe computer data) you would be 2D.
(D=13) 2*16+13=45
So that means that hex calls you two-dimesional. :p [Nelson Muntz laugh]

Splunge Sat, 29th Oct '05, 10:21pm So Splunge is 2D in hex? I have no idea what that means - that'll learn me for try'n to be clever.
OK, so I'm 45. Going on 20.
Silvery Sun, 30th Oct '05, 1:15am Heh Heh...I'm only 21!!! How exciting, I'm not old!

shadow lurker Thu, 17th Nov '05, 2:47am Hehehe...I'm younger than the both of you! 17 and 4 months right now. :D
Thor Thu, 17th Nov '05, 3:41pm You certainly look older Sir Farivald? :p
Anyways, I'm 18 too. I would think of something clever to say, but I'm to lazy.
Will Thu, 17th Nov '05, 5:06pm Yet another for the Guild o' 1983's Fertile Loins.
*cough*
I'm 22.
Khann Thu, 17th Nov '05, 5:48pm Well, I am 34, almost 35.

DarkStrider Thu, 22nd Dec '05, 7:21pm To make you think and show what a math geek I still am, my age is the youngest I can be to have lived in 6 decades. My birthday is in January. :shake: Of course that's only my physical age, my mental is still about 17 and my emotional age about 14
Arahar Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 4:36am 1983 here. however I caught the tail end of the year Dec 27
Rastor Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 4:52am I could be everyone's motherIn which case you were the most fertile pre-pubescent ever, kuemper :)

dmc Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 5:07am As do I . . . Adventure on an old PDP-10 (or 11) on 110 baud teletype terminals back in 1979 or '80, along with the old Star and Trek and Kwll games.
Aldeth the Foppish Idiot Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 5:11pm @Darkstrider - Surely, you must be 46 (although 47 next month). Birthdate is in January, 1959.
I'm 31, so by SP standards, I'm old.
DarkStrider Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 6:42pm @Aldeth of course I am and don't call me shirley
Disciple of The Watch Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 7:35pm I could be everyone's mother Ehh... no comments :D
Harbourboy Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 8:33pm Moon Elf, you are pretty young. Not sure if there are many who are younger.
kuemper Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 8:46pm Age, people! Biology class anyone? I don't want to get into a huge discussion over it, but I can be the mother of any SPer 24 y/o or less. If I'm not mistaken, that's too many. :p
Will you pull up your pants!?
\mother rant
The Magpie Fri, 23rd Dec '05, 9:10pm I can be the mother of any SPer 24 y/o or less.

Felinoid Sat, 24th Dec '05, 6:02am @EI:
 Huh? I never said anything about Moon Elf; maybe you're thinking of HB.
Drathir Darthirii Sat, 24th Dec '05, 7:03pm @EI - Yeah, it was HB who mentioned moi. My b'day is on 4th October, so I'm probs older than you by a bit if you only had your b'day a month or so ago.
Caradhras Mon, 26th Dec '05, 4:27pm I'm getting older and I'm depressed about it... another one from the 1978 vintage.
Nothing is more depressing than finding out that nothing interesting happened on the day (http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/bsp/about_this_site.stm) you were born. :p
DarkStrider Thu, 29th Dec '05, 2:00am @Caradhras surely the most important thing that day was that you were born but nobody's realised yet ? :)
JiggaJay Thu, 29th Dec '05, 10:59am Im 16 going on 17 on January 9 (mentally age 12). DRAT!! Ywpark 89 has me by a few days!! So ywpark, how does it feel to also have a birthday next to christmas? Are the gifts sparse for you too?

Arahar Thu, 29th Dec '05, 3:21pm Hah, My b-day is Dec 27, it's like christmas take 2 :p
Silvershield Thu, 29th Dec '05, 6:58pm @ JiggaJay

Faraaz Thu, 29th Dec '05, 7:52pm Hmm...I'm 19 and looks like I'm going to stay 19 for a while...atleast till the 3rd of April... :(
Iku-Turso Thu, 29th Dec '05, 8:04pm Now I'm getting depressed, since there's nothing special about being 24...
I'm so waiting to become 60, that'd be cool.
JiggaJay Fri, 30th Dec '05, 12:33am I can't wait until I'm 60 either! Retirement is going to be T3H UBER!!! I won't have to work, I'm just going to either fish or play video games til I die!

Disciple of The Watch Fri, 30th Dec '05, 1:09am Duh. I hope I won't live to become an old geezer.
DarkStrider Fri, 30th Dec '05, 1:15am Don't worry DotW you already are :geezer:
Disciple of The Watch Fri, 30th Dec '05, 1:41am That was nasty, Dad.
:shake:
Harbourboy Fri, 30th Dec '05, 1:48am What's wrong with being an old geezer? :geezer:
DarkStrider Fri, 30th Dec '05, 2:37am Ok son I apologise I'll add $10 to your allowance :)
@HB I wouldn't know I haven't reached that status yet :grin:
