A little bird sent me an update on what's been happening with Takara, and it turns out to be quite a shocker:

I don't know if you remember Takara? He had an SPS account, was in FAI a lot and he had MS?

Well anyway, he hasn't been online for months so I just thought I'd give you an update

He had a really bad MS attack and has been paralysed for a few months but he's recovering now and is getting re-hab. He's hoping to be back online soon.

He had a lot of friends in FAI and wants them all to know he's ok.So, there you have it. I've replied that I'm glad to hear that he's recovering and that we all wish him well and hope that he's able to join us again soon.

Well, I never new Takara well, but I do hope he gets better soon, and I send him my wishes.

EDIT: I know how bad MS is: i have a friend with it, as well as my favorite teacher. I am very sorry to hear Takara has MS, and I hope that he recovers well and soon.

I am sorry to hear that Tak was so badly ill but glad to hear he is getting better. The Copper Coronet just isn't the same without him. I just plain miss him.

Glad to hear he's okay, I've been missing the silly little gnome. ;)

As for why he really left, I thought that was the only reason, but I guess not.

It's good to hear that Takara is doing better, and hopefully he can rejoin us soon. But MS is a terrible disease. One of my nephews came down with MS when he was only 17. His life has been a struggle since then.

Man, that's awful; I had no idea. I've missed the turniphiliac, and I'm not even a visitor to the FAI.

Relieved to hear Takara's on the mend - and only somewhat gladdened that his absence is not because he's serving a lengthy prison term for monkey smuggling. I would have wished for much better circumstances, though.

That's just horrible! Though I knew him barely, I still miss Takara I liked his post. Hope he'll get better soon. Hang in there pal!

I just got another mail saying that he's hoping to be back online in January... so it'll take a while.

Hey everyone! I'd love to say thank you all for your heartfelt messages. It gives me a wonderful feeling reading them.

As Tal has mentioned I'm not going to be able to be online for long periods until Jan as i'm spending the next couple of months recovering further ar my mum's, and she only has an antiquated dial-up.

Just to let you all know how things have gone; At the end of April I went back to my mothers to get over one attack with some community physio, but sadly whilst recovering I got hit by a biggie at the end of may. Soon after I got moved to a London hospital for treatment but I was paralysed by that point. They got me on what I have since learnt is "experimental" treatment. As in they haver reasons to believe it helps but it is yet to be officially prescribed. Since then I have regained a lot of movement and spent theses past 3 months in re-hab. This place is wonderful, I get an hours physio a day And they have really helped make the most of the movement gains. I am now walking using walking sticks for a lot, and they are discharging me soon. Without them I really cant speculate how long it would have taken, if at all.
I dearly look forward to being able to re-join soon, as I miss you all greatly. Until then, thank you all for your good wishes!

Ok, Tak. Nakia has contacted a few females she knows. For the right price they'll gladly dance scantily clad.

One is a gnome, one a half-elf and one a buxom, blonde, 5 ft. 10 in. human. She thought she had that very rare thing, a half-halfling but she turned out to be a fraud; just a short hairy human female. I do understand that there is a halfling-dwarf around but you might not want to deal with that one. :evil:

Hi there everybody. Thank you to everybody. Again, I cant tell you how much this means to me.
Unfortunately I have once again been in hospital. I went back in the 28 of dec. So I can say I had a really good new year. heh. This time it went down my right side. For a while I was completely paralysed in it, but the past 2 months of rehab has got a lot of it back. At the mo I am on weekend leavem, but I am due for full discharge on fri. Obviously, since this setback my final year at uni now has to start in sept. The good news, however, is that my mum has finally got broadband. So when I am discharged, I will be fully back with a vengeance.
So, until then once again thank you all so so much for your thoughts.

I had to go through madness with my wisdom. All four of them had to be pulled out, two through surgery, so I know how you feel. The dental surgeon, who usually can get them all out within 5-10 minutes, spent over an hour on just one. At the end he told me I was the first patient ever to make him sweat. I'm not sure I like the honour!

Good luck, and hopefully you'll get rid of the infection soon and go through the teeth-pulling with a minimum of fuss.

Well I had an x-ray done today that should let them know how much to have to do. The surprising thing was that two are already through. I didn't realise it, so those two aren't a prob. Is just the bottom buggers. So some good news I guess.

The bottom ones tend to be more problematic, and usually are the ones that grow sideways into the other teeth or do some other stupid thing.

Hopefully your lower teeth will either not be growing or still be upright, so you'll only have to pull out the top ones, which shouldn't be too much of a hassle. Keep us updated!

Well I spent the day in hospital getting the wisdom teeth removed. It was under general anasthetic. One minute he was saying Tell me when you start getting woozy. Next tghing I was waking up after it was done. The only thing is a bit of swelling bottom right, and some bleeding. Other than that I'm great. I'm just glad it's done, and I'm back home.

Take it easy over the next few days, sometimes the anaesthetic can knock you for six (speaking from experience!)

Recovering from general anaesthesia can be an odd experience. Just lay back, relax, and post in the BoM. Welcome back again! :)

Getting over the anasthetic isn't too bad. I spent the whole of today and probably tomorrow in bed due to the swelling. Once that goes, I'll be back on form.

The swelling is slowly going down. I'll probably stil spend a couple more days in bed, but it is getting there.

Well I'm being more active again. The swelling hasn't gone totally but it has gone down a lot. The reason I am still spending the majority of my time in bed is the bruising. It came through a couple of days back and until it goes a bit more I am still in pain. Especially when I yawn. :cry:

Well the bruising has really subsided to a nice yellow, but no pain now. I'm out of the worst and can get back to being the smutty pain in the rear I do so well.

I'm sorry I didnt respond, I could only read. :cry: I'm still recovering, but I was bedriddden for a couple of weeks. I had some steroids which caused a lot of help, but it willl take a bit longer.But thank you all so so much for your thoughts.

Well, been away forf a looooooooooong time now. Mostly because of a bad attack bbrought on by the severe heat or travelling... could have been the stem cell therapy I had. I went for it a month ago, and came back worse then when I went. But now I am a lot better after some steroids the doc gave me. I will be back online regular again now... I hope! Thank you all for being here, I missed you all and hurt me not being able to be part of his community for a while! Silver! Been a real long time. Good to hear from you. And yes I did have wisdom teeth. Just not wisdom:p
