For those like myself who have only recently joined, there is a point of curiosity as to how specific members got their avatars. Some you can guess at (mods and SPS Account holders), but others are less obvious.

So for anyone who wants to, you can explain here and quench our burning desire for knowledge (read trivia). :grin:

Shortly after I joined SP I purchased a game through SP. Not sure but it may have been ToB. Whatever it was cheap. I figure I got my avatar for about 0.02 US$!

I submitted a guide to SP.

I paid cold hard cash.

I submitted an Ozzy soundset.

I greased a palm with some filthy lucre (well I paid a subscription)

I think I bought some books or maybe a game . . . whatever, the guilt of getting an avatar for something as small as that got the best of me and I started donating money (and now time).

I like this place and the people, so it's all worth it.

Oh, hmm, perhaps the cost outweighs the benefits (in my case, for lack of job, money, etc), even though its for a good cause...
