We were wondering if there will be any new races.
In IWD2 we saw and played as drows, duergars, wild
elves, deep gnomes and so on.It would be nice if
there are more races like half-dragons(Sherincal)
We are imagining them to have bonuses at the first
3 Abilities and penalties at the 2nd three.2 to
STR,DEX,CON;-2 to WIS,INT,CHA.Cool huh?The ogres?
They are cool why not and ogres. We offer the idea
of totally new race:half-monsters and inside it
there will be:orcs,half-dragons,bugbears.Just more
races, but without new classes. The old ones are cool enough.

Haven't read anything about races, but I doubt there will be any more than the ones we're used to. And half-dragons?

There will be the standard races, and some subraces (which is what is listed in the first post) might be thrown in as well, if they have time.

You certainly won't be able to play monsters though. That requires a totally different rules approach. And the handbook for playing monsters was barely just released.

Do you think that the aasimar avatar will have wings finally?

It's not even certain aasimar are in, so I doubt it.

By all accounts the game will have the standards, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Humans, Halflings and Half Elves. Sub-races are on their "Cool Things To Add If There's Time" list, but I doubt they'll make it in (those sorts of thing rarely make it in unless there's a serious delay in the release schedule).
The thing to remember too is that this game is not the Forgotten Realms, it's Greyhawk, so some races might not be core rules (not sure on that, though..).
