I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm slowly turning from neutral good to chaotic evil. I used to stick up for these guys. After all, they did pay for their own copy of the game, so it's their business how they play it. But lately here I am flaming people who are trying to defend their actions. I'm not pleased with myself, but man, it's so hard not to snap at these people insisting they need to cheat to beat the game. WHAT?!? There is no need to cheat. There is no justification. If you want to cheat, just do it. But man, this is the wrong board to brag about your *strategies* on.
I really am loosing my grip here :)

I guess it becomes a reflex action after you see too many posts saying the same thing...

You know, guys...It's only a game! Lately this place is turning into nothing but an endless, boring argument. If you don't like what someone posts, then don't read it. Especially don't REPLY to it! That's only asking for justification and defensive responses from the original poster. Haven't you ever heard that the best way to make someone go away is to ignore them? Some people thrive on debate, but PLEASE...this one has been beaten into the ground already. Get over it... ;)

Of course, here I am replying to a post that annoys me, ignoring my own advice... :D
Oh well...

I think most Power gamers are power gamers because they dont have the wits or patience to use strategy or tactics to win a battle. They want to click the arrow on the Lich and let their 21st level Kensai kill him with his +12 hackmaster while they sit back eating their chips and drinking beer.
The thing I have had the most fun with in this game is when I enter a battle with overwhelming odds and my characters emerge victorious, even when i have had to reload to try different tactics. In fact I sometimes enjoy it even more when I have to reload. When I finally figure out that "a-ha" strategy that works perfectly. I dont reload for better rolls or failed saves, but to try a different tactic.
I say that if you are a power gamer and have not had the thrill of beating an overwhelming force through guile, planning, and a little luck, you have not had the true fun of this game. Its cool when you get that +3 scimitar, but even more so when you REALLY earned it.

And incidently has anyone noticed it's that new group of posters coming in that are really lighting up the boards with their "I have a level 36 sorcer and I can cast imprisonment as many times as Gaxx" ;)

Most Power Gamers beaten the computer many times sticking to Biowares rules. Now they are playing the game using their own rules.
Most power gamers created Irencus, bohdi, 2 Demi Liches, 2 Red Dragons and 3Coca Fiends Vs my party with Drizzt's plus two of his party members, Elminster and my level 20 Fighter Beserker.
Which far more fun than playing the game over and over and over and overagain with the same NPC's but A Different charecter class.
