View Full Version : Jahiera Romance Stuck at LoveTalk 52
drahala Thu, 8th May '03, 7:14am It seems that my Jaheira romance is stuck at LoveTalk 52 and keeps looping LoveTalk 51 (where she asks you how you felt about your last battle). It seems to me that I read somewhere that the LoveTalk variables must be odd numbers. Can anyone help me get it unstuck?
I am in Chapter Two, have had the final conflict with Dernim and have installed the happygroup patch that allows concurrent romances. Many thanks in advance.

Download this fix and copy the files to your override folder. The LT52 problem is a common one and this fix will sort it out.
Sephiroth Thu, 8th May '03, 1:03pm I had this problem, too. The fix really helps !!
drahala Sat, 10th May '03, 12:03pm Hey Folks,
I installed the patch from the site listed here and nothing happened. I am running the flirtpack mod, could this be the reason nothing has happeded? After installing the patch, the lovetalk rating still remained at 52 for the entire druid grove quest. I manually advanced it using the CLUA Console, but Jaheira still did not initiate any dialoge. Is there any other way of getting this romance back on track?
Extremist Sat, 10th May '03, 2:04pm I've written few times already that Manveru's scripts won't fix the problem if it already occured as those are not written in bugsolving manner but only in bugpreventing.
Please check here for the console solution of your problem:

One thing, the flirtpack or any 3rd party romances are not the cause of this bug, but the poorly made original Jaheira script.
Jurts Sat, 10th May '03, 10:46pm You probably should go back to an earlier save to run through it properly. The fix should be installed BEFORE FlirtPacks. You will not (should not) be able to flirt with her, unless you reinstall the flirtpacks.
drahala Sun, 11th May '03, 1:43am Thanks so much for the guidance; the CLUACosole command works and Jaheira is talking again. Are there any other Jaheira bugs that I should look out for? I have completed all the harper related quests (Dernim is dead at my hands), and am just about to leave Chapter 2.
Jurts Sun, 11th May '03, 8:05am Dermin is the last of the Harpers sent to kill Jaheira. After you have completed the romance (had the night of pleasure, hehe ;) ) Terminsel will show up and give you both something really good.
Without that manveru's fix Terminsel took ages to show up and sometimes even didn't at all. Now he will show up directly the next morning after you slept with Jaheira. The old pervert was probably watching them from the bushes, blergh.
Extremist Sun, 11th May '03, 2:27pm No, no, no and no.
Manveru's fix is bugged and that's why Terminsel with it appears IMMEDIATELY after the last dialog. He messed the timers. Check the script if you don't believe me. Manveru sets RealTimer, but checks it as if it's IngameTimer. More on that matter you may read here:
http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=004872#000009
And it is not true that Terminsel never shows up, the truth is that if you break the romance you have to wait 5 days (!) of real time. If you don't break the romance, well, read the Romancing Guide, I've written when will he appear. :p
Anyway, after this LT loop expect no more Jaheira romance bugs.
Jurts Mon, 12th May '03, 1:29pm Actually I couldn't care less how and if Manveru's fix is broken. All I am saying that Termisel now shows up directly after the last LT. That is correct.
If Jaheira is not romanced, the chances of maeeting Terminsel after the Dermin quests have been completed are next to nothing - who is going to leave his PC running for 5 days anyways...
As for if Jaheira is romanced without the fix installed - Terminsel definitely takes some time after the last LT. The romancing guide says it is an hour - perhaps it is, but since I will not run the game with manveru's fix installed I cannot verify that. You probably know better.
All I did was just stated facts that I see when playing the game, the mechanics of the scripts are a mystery for me. ;)
