I stole this link (http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/games/wargames.html) from Gleeful Extremist, so hats off to G.E. for finding it...but I had to post it here and share this with you. Yeah, I'm a "link thief"...so what?

I couldn't tell if I was laughing or crying.

Caution...there is some language that could be considered inapropriate for all audiences, although I don't think it's excessive.

They forgot Geneva Convention Breach counter after each mission and Number of International Court Indictments ;)

But they did remember to put court martial after each mission :D

12. I want mutinous units that chainsmoke hash and frag their Sargents and sell Heroin on the side and rogue commanders who go mad and shave their heads and set up fortresses in the jungle decorated with human skulls. That roughly describes the Army men: RTS (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/strategy/armymenrts/review.html). You hunt down a General who was once part of the (plastic) Green Army, but went Tan (spit). It even has the skulls, plus references to many other war movies besides Apocalypse Now. (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0078788/)

The only thing it left out was that you need 70-90% percent of your prisoners to be completely innocent and are waiting in jail to be charged for anything. Othere than that, great article.

Excellent article, except it's missing the most important component - the part where you get to invent your own trumped-up reasons for starting a war in the first place. :D

Heh, I make up reasons for war all the time when I play Civ. Usually I manage to get my neighbours to declare on me so I can them steamroll over them slaughtering thousands and put entire cities to the torch and still have a pure white reputation. Civ is actually a pretty fair rendetion of real politik. Right down to the "bribe and threathen other nations into joining my war against tiny Babylon so I can snatch that patch of rubber I lack".
