He was on a roll I thought. He's so funny, and I agree with him that these pundit shows are hurting America. I mean, with the talking heads on TV spouting facts about Kerry's record out of context, or telling the viewers of the debates who won, the democracy itself is threatened.

I didn't see it, but I read the transcript. Those guys didn't stand a chance. Did he really call Tucker a d*** on the air? Any chance of him doing a similar job to Hannity and (colmes)?

Edit: OK thanks for the link. So he did. On the whole, I don't think those guys know what hit them. Nice to hear more people point out, like Stewart, that today's media debates are as much like debates as pro wrestling is like a sport...

I started seeing it but I have trouble watching confrontations so I stopped but I got the general idea. There is a real buzz about this in general on the net. Fark has a huge thread on it and so has another forum I lurk on. Jon Stewart's daily show seems to rock, I wish it would come here.

If you can't watch the show, here's the transcript. (http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0410/15/cf.01.html)

I loved it. I even downloaded it and watched it a few times. Brilliant. And long overdue. It's important, to me at least, that he did that on Crossfire intead of Hannity and Colmes. Crossfire is thought of as "the original" tv debate show and, despite it being little more than political theatre, it still is less absurd than Hannity and Colmes. With any luck, they're next - but I doubt it (Hannity is too big of a coward and would shout over him anyway).

I personally hope this is the beginning of a trend. The political hacks of the media, on both sides, need their obsurdity pointed out to them. It just needs to be people who are actually smarter than these guys - and who aren't known for their 'hackery' - who point it out to them and make their own audiences laugh at them.

Hmph. Too bad they just avoided his points. I would have liked to see what they would have said if they had taken it seriously.

Pretty much nothing was said. The moment he began to justify his accusations the hoasts shouted over him.
