Possible spoilers:

Ok, so my party really isn't up to fighting the fellows who gate in from the mage's residence in the NE of the Temple section, but I thought I'd try it. When the big demon appeared, I ran like Forest Gump out the door. Naturally, he followed.

It was mildly entertaining watching him stun and flay commoners. (Sadly, the cowled wizards didn't show up to discipline him.) But I discovered that EVERYONE can outrun him. And he'll follow. So where does the party run? Why, to the Order of the Radiant Heart, of course. =)

Once inside he ignores everyone, and the palladins ignore him.

Until you cast a spell. :)

Then the palladins are all enemies, BUT they attack the big ole demon first if he's closer. With the palladins hemming him in (they didn't appear to be doing any damage to each other), it's pretty easy to drop the demon and run out. Just make sure that you're closer to the door than the palladins so that they don't keep your from getting out of the district.

This cracked me up, but I'll wager that, since I'm running a palladin who still hasn't killed Firkraag, it'll keep me from getting a stronghold. :)

Or barring that, you could just cast protection from evil on your party...and keep bg2 from looking like a 70's japanese monster movie.

Today I had a bit of an evil spree and some fun with the Radiant Heart also, I went in and killed the lot of them, even old Keldorn. Then I killed everybody in Waukeens Prominade and got Arie to finish off uncle Quail :D immeadiately afterwards she attacked me though. Hmmm its funny I think I must have too much Charisma or something as none of the group have left so far, neither have the garrison come after me yet. ;)

Oh, and if you have Keldorn or Anomen in your party, they leave immediately and start attacking you and/or the demon.

Well who needs those two lousy two shoes any way? Killing everything in the Radiant is almosy a quest. Its most fun to do just after Anomen finishes his test and passes
