I noticed today is a holiday - Patriot day. Why? 12/7 isn't a holiday and there was as much devistation and life loss then.
The arguing may begin. *ding* :)

Wiley One Mon, 11th Sep '06, 9:55pm Here is some of the info I found about this day of remembrance From Wikipedia....U.S. House Joint Resolution 71 was approved by a vote of 407-0 on October 25, 2001. It requested that the President designate September 11 of each year as "Patriot Day." President George W. Bush signed the resolution into law on December 18, 2001 (as Public Law 107-89). It is a discretionary day of remembrance. This day of observance should not be (but often is) confused with Patriots' Day, a holiday celebrated primarily in Massachusetts and Maine that commemorates the Battle of Lexington and Concord during the Revolutionary War. Patriots died in the Battle of Brandywine on September 11, 1777, so this could be an additional source of confusion with Patriots' Day.It is not a Holiday but a day of remembrance EDIT: some added info Harbourboy Mon, 11th Sep '06, 10:06pm The Battle of Brandywine? Isn't that some Hobbit conflict against the White Wolves? What does that have to do with Patriot Day? Oaz Mon, 11th Sep '06, 10:58pm Seeing as how nothing at my university was done regarding the attacks besides articles in the student newspaper: so what?
