You missed The Apprentice! Great show....with candidates all vying for the position of running one of Donald Trump's companies in NYC. Pretty fascinating show (it's down to 6 people now). :D

I also have been watching Average Joe. This time around they brought back one of the guys that was a finalist in the first show, but didn't get chosen. The show started out really good, but then got a little hokey after awhile -- but I still watch it!

Oh -- There's another one too -- Fear Factor. I've tried to watch it but my stomach just roils when they get served up things like "worm pie". gah

Yeah, sorry I forgot Survivor, and I actually watch that too! Well, only the current Allstars one and the previous Pearl Islands one. My damn sister got me hooked on it. Anyway, I didn't put Fear Factor because we don't get it often enough for me to remember it, and it's a bit more like a gameshow than most of the other Reality shows.

And there were a few others I could have put from here but I don't know how widespread they are - My Restaurant Rules (a couple from each of our states sets up and runs a restaurant), The Resort (A group of wannabes 'build' and run an island resort) and The Hothouse (14 couples start building a million dollar mansion and couple by couple get 'laid off'). there may be more here but I either don't know about them or don't care about them.

As for Average Joe, that was a complete rort that she picked Jason over Adam. Basically that proved that the whole premise of the show was true - 'average' guys always get left behind for hunks.

When they show people at work, or artists, sportsmen etc in training, it has some sense. Or even an improvised amateur extreme sports team. Or something like that.

The "classic" reality shows intrinsically suck. They rely on a basic trade: money for perfectly legal opportunity to appease basic drives for snooping. What's so fun in watching someone on the toilet? Come on, that's just sick. Or a pair reducing themselves to animal level in order to win the competition and remain in the house by providing some raw exciment to couch potato perverts. Like a cheap amateur porn. W

The only RTV series I watch is Robinson( Don't know what it's called in foreign countries though). It's the only one of them with a bit of "reality" to it.....

Am I the only one that thinks that all this reality-TV crap sucks?

Also, Survivor and all it's look-alikes actually origins from Sweden, we were the first to make that crap.

I don't watch reality anymore. So For 1, I selected that, but I still had to choose a show for what I do watch, so I put other.

Survivor/Expedition Robinson is a pretty good show. I also watch a new show called Peking Express. It is about a number of Dutch and Belgian couples who need to hitch hike from Moskow to Peking. They get 2 euro a day to buy food and shelter.

Besides those two, I never watch reality shows.

Since Big Brother, UK TV has been nothing but Reality TV, it sucks, there is far too much of this **** on the TV now. Ban it.

In it's very first season i tried to watch Big Brother a few times, but came to the conclusion pretty fast that it's a complete waste of time, so i try to avoid shows like that as much as possible, which isn't easy because they're on every friggin channel nowadays. I pity my brother, who's wife wants to watch them all, and he has no say in this. :D

Also, the first few episodes of shows like BB were the only ones worthy of the title "reality TV", because everyone in it is very aware of the camera's these days, and they're all putting on some kind of little act. Nobody is acting like they would in real life, so the show kinda lost it's purpose.

Personally I really can't stand "reality TV" as they call it, IMO its not even that. I mean when in real life are you going to find yourself locked in a house with 9 other complete strangers?

It just gets on my whatsit...Grumble moan mutter...

Do makeover shows count as reality TV? If so, then I have to vote YES because I'm entirely addicted to Queer Eye. (http://www.bravotv.com/Queer_Eye_for_the_Straight_Guy/)

Found out last week that there may be some 'justice' for Adam from Average Joe. They're doing a Bachelor-style comeback for him. Besides Dennis, Adam was the only guy I've ever seen in a reality-dating show that I actually admired because he played down the whole millionaire thing.
