Falstaff Fri, 26th Mar '04, 6:45pm Gee - is it time for yet ANOTHER of these topics?
I listen to LOUD music - that pretty much covers it for me.
Eaglearrow Fri, 26th Mar '04, 6:46pm I have no specific bands I could name to be honest, but I prefer Rock and what we called back in the days SkatePunk or Independent music with which we were refering to Bad Religion, Slime etc.
Xei Win Toh Fri, 26th Mar '04, 6:51pm Arch Enemy Astarte Barathrum Battlelore Children Of Bodom Finntroll Funeris Nocturnum Nightwish Sinergy Sportlov Stone Stratovarius Tarot
Wordplay Fri, 26th Mar '04, 6:52pm I listen either energetic music with good melodies (by which I do not mean beat, rhyme, sound, vocals, etc  ). The best example of this is Sonata Arctica's "Broken" -thus far the best song I have heard. After that, it's Evanescence, Nightwish, Radio Head, Mew 156, and several up-north artists. What I really hate are bands like Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, Five, and so on (mass "Love Pop" :nolike: )
Sarevok• Fri, 26th Mar '04, 6:53pm Pink Floyd, The Police, Thin Lizzy, The Doors, Dire Straits, The Clash, Jimi, instrumental rock, trance, hh and garage. I do hate pop music so very much though.
Faerus Stoneslammer Fri, 26th Mar '04, 6:57pm Generally depends on my mood...but usually varies between classical/new age/soundtrack/celtic, to alternative/rock/metal/hard rock....
I listen to too many bands in general to list all of the ones I like, but two of my favourites (and those that I listen to most often) are Nightwish and Iron Maiden.
SleepleSS Fri, 26th Mar '04, 7:04pm @Falstaff: Yes it's time...

Varied Sundries Fri, 26th Mar '04, 11:00pm Y'all need to go MORE indie...
All of your favorites are too popular!
Come on, we all know what the old equation is.
Popular = bad.
If anybody else has heard of it, I don't want to listen to it.

Children of Bodom
Immortal
Amon Amarth
Dimmu Borgir
Bloodbath
Opeth

Oaz Sat, 27th Mar '04, 3:35am Why does black spooky Scandinavian goth metal rock whatever keep popping up in these posts?
Anyways, I think that At the Drive-in deserves a mark here. You don't get a lot of good creative rock bands from Texas, let alone El Paso.
Benan Sat, 27th Mar '04, 8:28am Why does Evenessence keep showing up in this thread. I'm sorry I just hate her whiney voice.
I was going to make a list, but I'm to lazy and 90% of you probablly hadn't head of 90% of the bands. So I basically picked my top fav's in Strung Out and Led Zep.
Aikanaro Sat, 27th Mar '04, 8:53am Evanescence keeps showing up in this thread because people like 'her whiney voice'.
