View Full Version : DualClass Question
Faragon Thu, 10th Jan '02, 8:05pm I'm not really clear on the whole DualClass thing, so my question: Is it possible to make a human archer, and then dualclass him to a cleric? If so, will he still be able to use bows, and iirc he should have a minimum number of points in wisdom to go cleric; how much? Also, what level would be wise to dual him at?
Btw, is there a page where I can read the rules to dualclassing? Because the manual doesn't contain much info about it. Thanx in advance for any help.

I'm unsure about dualling from an Archer, but a Ranger can. You need at least 15 in STR and DEX and 17 in WIS. You will not be able to use bows; only Cleric weapons.
Extremist Thu, 10th Jan '02, 9:45pm Faragon, archer is inside SoA files noted as "feralan". Other classes and kits are the same as in the game.
Now with that info, peek on the link BTA provided.
strange_machine Thu, 10th Jan '02, 10:05pm Yeah, BTA is right about the bow thing---- but you can put all your proficiency in sling and still use killer projectile!:)
Master of Nuhn Fri, 11th Jan '02, 2:38am IMHO there is no fun in having your ARCHER using a sling...(would that be a slinger?)
For all non-cheaters: This was just an experience!
I tried to dual class an archer to cleric in ToB (sorry...just to try it) using SK to max his stats, so that would not give a problem.
all stats were 18 and when i started the game I tried to dual this archer but it was not able to dual to anything at all, so to me it seems archers can't be dualled. If I am correct, of course.
And I don't know if ToB is different in Dual-Classes, but I didn't think so.
Please tell me if I'm wrong, I'm eager to learn such things. :)
That was my answer to Beautiful Hilltroll (Faragon) ;)
After viewing the dualclass tables Extremist posted (Thank you Extremist!) :
Seems I'm wrong, probably made a mistake...can't think of what, however.

Alienboy Fri, 11th Jan '02, 3:03am Since you have ShadowKeeper make yourself an archer. Using ShadowKeeper make him a ranger/cleric, you will still keep the kit! Or you could make a ranger/cleric multiclass and change the kit through ShadowKeeper. I love shadowkeeper.
Blackthorne TA Fri, 11th Jan '02, 4:04am Master of Nuhn - You didn't mention the race of your Archer. One further requirement to dual class is that your character be Human.
Faragon Fri, 11th Jan '02, 10:52am Thanx for those tables. (and all other help of course!) They will come in handy :)
Mhmm.. guess I'll have to abandon the bow idea and go for slings indeed. It just feels wrong, to be an archer, and not use bows :nolike:
thanx everyone...
I'm starting to regret showing the results of that site to you Master of Nuhn, or should I say "Forgotten Fallohide" ?
Master of Nuhn Fri, 11th Jan '02, 1:42pm Needless to say that my Archer was a human ;)
StressedE Sun, 13th Jan '02, 12:07pm Yeah I tried it too. I couldn't dual my archer either.
