I have been listening to a lot of the "roots" of acid jazz. I'm wondering if people could recommend some of their favorite acid jazz recordings. There is so much music out there, it is difficult to sift through it all.

So what are your favorites?

I bought a 3CD-box of Acid Jazz Grooves. I don't have it right here, but will take a look when I'm back there where it is right now.

When I'm in the shop, I get a compilation Cd and check out all the CD's of the songs I like.

Brand New Heavies and Blueboy are on top of my mind. James Taylor Quartet can't be missed. I'll probably get back to it later.

I'm not exactly into acid jazz, but I heard some people enjoys Jamiroquai and Miles Davies.

To be honest, I don't exactly know when Jazz is Acid. :o Jamiroquai sure is a great artist, but he is completely different to some songs of Meateaters I've heard. IMO, Meateaters were a bit slow, but I've only heard 2 or 3 songs.

Perhaps Snowboy is a nice thing to try, and St.Margarets Collective. And I also hear good things about Incognito. I couldn't find an Album though, but they seems to be good.
