What are they for? ive only just noticed them dropping when you kill one. At first i thought it might be like the ahnneg (sp?) heads from BG 1 where you can get them made into armour or a helmet or somthing else suitably cool but i cant find anyone willing to use it.

They were supposed to be for armour/helmets/quests/whatever, but they never got developed.
Just sell them.

I seem to remember something in BG1 about rewards for wyvern heads, a woman in Beregost or something. does anyone else remember?

Well just wnated to say thanks to GOPHER who has writen a new ITEM MAKING GUIDE (wonders if anyone will notice the plug) Im now wearing that wyvern as a hat, that'll teach em to mess with me :p

How did you do that 'phobia? Did you simply create a wyvern helm then swap the two, or did you create an NPC that creates the helm? You've got me curious about how that would be done.

Can you still develop Ankheg heads into armour?

Yup you can still make Ankheg armor (at Cromwell's) though i don't see much use for it given all the better armor you can get throughout the game...

Where is older Cromy located?

Cromwell (if that's who you mean) is in the lower right part of the Docks district.
