I recently got my semi-evil party into the underdark, and did the deep gnome and mage quests. After I talked to adalon and got changed into a drow, Viconica started walking strange. She now walks a few paces, pauses, walks a few paces, pauses (etc). This has become really annoying. Is there some way to fix this? Any help would be really aprechiated.

Viconica?

First, if you know how to do it, zip your saved game and mail it to me.

After you mail it, try some of these.
1. Patch the game.
2. If the "stutter" continues set different path search nodes (try both higher and lower).
3. If path s. nodes don't help, remove any regeneration item from her.
4. If all of the above doesn't help, you'll need to wait till "drow hide" is removed, only then Viconia will start walking normally.

Of course, I'll peek inside your saved game to see if I can find the reason for this strange behavior noone actually detected yet why it happens.

Same thing happened to me yesterday with my PC. Thought it might have something to do with the fact that I just started using the Soulefein mod...hoping it'll clear up after the underdark...

Solaufein mod has nothing to do with it.

It is the engine problem that happens all the time and it is not solved even within ToB. The problem occurs because of applying certain avatar over previous avatar (polymorph command). The patch resolved this only for Aerie (she had this problem because her staring avatar is Ogre btw).
In ToB this problem may occur with Wild Magic from some mephits (at least that's what I remember from some posts over at BIS).

No matter, anyone who has any bug or suspects on a bug may mail me the saved game - I'll see what is it about and perhaps, just perhaps, I'll be able to fix it, right? ;)

Some times that happens to my whole party, especially when I'm in the under dark, all I do is save and then reboot the game, it seems to work for me.

I've had the same with several parties inlcuding a Solo F/M/T. Though interestingly enough, he only suffered from it, in the main Underdark area and Drow City. Before or after those areas I had little trouble.

Ah yes, this is the common "bug" that happens when you're transformed into drow. Usually it happens to the protagonist though. Still, just play to the point where your party is normal again. That should fix it with 99% certainty.

Get the Ease Of Use, it has the component to fix this widely known bug. I once had ALL my characters stutter like that, talk about nerving.

Same thing happened to Viconia during my last game, patched and all. What worked for me was to kick her out of the party and have her join again.

I had the same probs but sorted it out by selling off and dumping loads of items from my Bag of Holding.

For some having a stuttering problem this may well help.
