View Full Version : Roxette
Takara Sat, 12th Aug '06, 12:10pm I've been listening again to the album Crash, boom, bang and it confirms once again that I love them and think they are the best thing to come out musically from Sweden. Mant will say no, that's ABBA. imho, they walk all over ABBA. What do you think? Good, alright, bad?
Fabius Maximus Sat, 12th Aug '06, 4:55pm IMO they are rather boring. They repeat themselves all the time.
And ABBA was just awful. One of the bands who were succesfull with only two chords.
T2Bruno Sun, 13th Aug '06, 3:46am Takara, I admire your courage to admit you listen to such things -- it has been years since Iintentionally listened to either. But, yes, I did enjoy both bands back their hayday....
I unfortunately find myself singing along with 'The Look' when it comes on.
Enagonios Sun, 13th Aug '06, 4:14am lmao T2 :D
I enjoy listening to the occassional roxette song once in a while.
Brallrock Sun, 13th Aug '06, 5:03am Roxette put out some good stuff, and I am not ashamed to admit that at all. I listen to such a wide variety of stuff that I can almost always get along with whatever radio station someone is playing. I have their Tourism CD in my truck and listen to it frequently.
Takara Sun, 13th Aug '06, 12:15pm Good album Brallrock, How do you do is a favourite of mine. And T2.. There is no shame for me, I think they should be universally loved. ;)
nior Mon, 14th Aug '06, 3:55am Always loved Roxette and I've to agree, "Tourism" is probably their best album, second would be "Don't Bore Us Get To The Chorus".
Takara Mon, 14th Aug '06, 9:13am But that's just a best of compilation.... but I do own it cos' it's great.
Cúchulainn Mon, 14th Aug '06, 9:18am Abba are the best pop band ever, and Roxette had some interesting sounds going on in their songs. I always loved bands that experiment.
Death Rabbit Wed, 16th Aug '06, 1:25pm I still have yet to meet a girl who tasted like a raindrop.
Master of Nuhn Thu, 17th Aug '06, 9:09pm Would she join your joyride, DR?
I think they are okay. Wouldn't buy any CD's of them, though. But when a friend has it in his car, I'm tempted to put the music on quite loud.
