The Skids and The Undertones are not quiet new, both from the seventies ;)

The others I don't know - I'll have to follow them up a bit.

Old-school punk is waaaaay better than anything new. :thumb:

Give me 'The Ramones', 'The Clash', a little 'Rancid', and 'Sublime' over any of this new punk stuff...
Ok, so Sublime is more ska/reggae/punk...but it's still good. :thumb:

But if you want something new-ish, I like the Offspring, Lit, and a very limited few songs of Old Green Day. If you haven't already, go check Lit and the Offspring out and see if you like them. Don't bother with Green Day however... :bad: :rolling:

I can't believe you could forget Dead Kennedys and The Exploited, Kit.

Know your classics, young punk.

I know probably all the good old Punks, but the new ones are well ... new to me or rather unknown.

Know your classics, young punk. I know them, I didn't list them because I don't really like them, hence the words, "Give me". :thumb: :rolling:

Not really a big punk fan, I like some though. While on the topic, could someone please explain to me the difference between punk and emo

MxPx rules though ;) Move to Bremerton and I'm Ok, you're ok at least :p

I usually say Weezer is emo, while ie Green Day and Bad Religion is punk. But that's me

Um - punk is kinda dead. I'm not really a fan of the genre but as far as I can tell there is nothing out at present that can be called 'punk' which is anything like what the 'punk' of the 70s and 80s is.

Emo is nothing like punk - emo is very similar to 'pop-punk' however, which is where the confusion may be coming from...

Yeah the 70s and 80s is of course dead, but the punk of today is not. You may call it punk revival. Variations from punk may be suffice to me.

Well, the only band of this sort that I can really recommend is The Living End. I don't know how good their new stuff is, mind you.

Senap, Charta 77, Eld Attack Krossa, Spoiler, Radioaktiva Räker... I could go on all night.

But I got work, so I won't.

More polished, but that's a good thing.
