Ah, the evil Canadian plan to take over the planet is coming to fruition.
First, one of our top spies tests the waters by starting a new Random Babbling thread (very well done, Beren  )
Tomorrow, the world!!
Tue, 9th Mar '04, 10:47pm
I never understood spamming was allowed in these threads...
Where Chev got all his posts from makes total sense now :p
Tue, 9th Mar '04, 11:17pm
It isn't, and looking at the previous thread it became quite obvious someone needs to be made into an example to the others that we have a chatroom to do excessive pointless babbling in.
Tue, 9th Mar '04, 11:24pm
Bloody FC Porto :( .
At least Arsenal and Man Utd are through :) .
Tue, 9th Mar '04, 11:27pm
Beren, maybe our plan wasn't such a good idea after all. Now you've gone and put Tal in a bad (or perhaps "worse than usual" would be better terminology :p ) mood.
Tue, 9th Mar '04, 11:30pm
At least Arsenal and Man Utd are through Huh, Porto knocked Man United out......didn't they?
Tue, 9th Mar '04, 11:47pm
Arsenal and Chelsea*
Sorry, typo :D
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 12:43am
Chelsea ownz. I just hope it is not like last time with barca.
Walkthroughs are lame and evil.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 2:13am
Why do you think walkthrough are evil?
Sometimes they may be usefull.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 2:55am
Rotku missed over half the last Ramdom Babbling thread, he's not missing another one!
I think I might have broken my toe today, it's in so much pain when ever I move it! Stupid rugby!
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 3:13am
Walkthroughs are quite useful, I must say - especially for games that are huge and open-quested.
*Spelly praises the writers of walkthroughs!* :D
Sorry to hear about your toe, Rotku. :(
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 3:20am
I never thought I'd enjoy 'reality dating' shows until My Big Fat Obnoxious Fiance. LMAO at that, I really don't know how these people can take themselves so seriously.
Anyway, slowly teaching myself Japanese - very fun at the moment.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 3:24am
Ahhhh, my return to SP after days away :) - well maybe more than 24 hours at least.
Is japanese hard? I'd love to learn, I started and gave up after 20 mins or so  well it was on the early learning zone on BBC2 at bout 2AM so give me some credit that i lasted that long.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 7:12am
Rotku! What were you doing playing rugby! I thought you really really didn't like that game.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 7:43am
Enough with the term "spamming"!
Refer to excessive nonsensical posts as "babbling" or "droning" or "diarrhea of the mouth".
"Spamming" is a criminal activity.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 10:25am
I disagree - or I interpret spamming differently than you. That last RB was a case of crazy insane spamming (though I have seen worse).
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 10:51am
Oh man!, I let my brother use the computer for ONE evening, and look what happens...
Well... 27 at least...
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 1:47pm
Well it is now Official
She and I are in love
Since Sunday, I've had my first girlfriend!
Surprisingly enough, it was like much of you said. I didn't hoped love from her but it came afterall. In fact I was very surprised.
Plus she's registred here, well she doesn't post much yet... But some of you might remember her in the chat... ¨Naveed¨ anyone?
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 1:49pm
You're the MAN! You can now open shop giving romance advice to other people.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 1:54pm
I'm only here to see why our latest Idiot of the Week has been labeled thus.
Oh well, not to worry Daephon, even bad publicity is good publicity... despite its name :hmm: ?
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 2:15pm
Hooray! I'm going SHOPPING tonight! Nothing like an upcoming vacation to serve as an excuse to refresh my spring and summer wardrobe. I'm glad the new issue of my favorite fashion magazine arrived this week.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 2:58pm
There must be a hole in our firewall. I can get into SP again. Woohoo!!! Let's hear it for holes! :D
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 4:14pm
Wow, IOtW
Actually, it wasn't a surprise. Guess I did deserve it :)
Anyways, I'm sorry...
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 7:43pm
Congrats, Ofelix. Enjoy it while you're still young. The best time in life for that ;)
What you will get later is "we can have some fun, but I'm not in for obligations"
Want a good woman? Bring yourself one up! Must start early for good results :book:
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 7:55pm
chev man, you are young guy and you sound like a 40 + year old. Not intellectually but more the things come out with, no offence like.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 7:57pm

Wed, 10th Mar '04, 8:33pm
My girlfriend shaved me with her electric trimmer thing. Scary. Kinda painful too.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 8:38pm
@ L.B. - well, love hurts sometimes. :p And speaking of which...
@ Ofelix - you're sure about this now, are you? Because I'd hate to see you go through what you did the last time you thought she was your g/f (I assume it's the same girl). Well, a tentative congrats anyway. :)
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 11:24pm
Just bought tickets for G3 in Birmingham, all United Kingdom venues are cert. Go to vai.com, check tour dates, and get your tickets!
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 11:32pm
Indeed it's the same girl. But now it's serious.
She lied to me because when I show up in her life more seriously she just got out of a bad relationship with another guy and she didn't another one dating her. So she just lied to me so that we can just ¨be friend¨ . Later after this She felt horribly because she fell in love for me and she regreted it deeply. Anyhow after a little chat she just kissed me and from that it began...
Anyway may I ask something? Since she registred, although she post rarely (so far she posted once) would mind pretending you know nothing? Please? I'd be most gratefull.
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 11:44pm
Well, OK, but since you've already posted about it, it's pretty much out in the open anyway. Plus I can't do anything about the 3 PM's I've sent her. :p
Wed, 10th Mar '04, 11:57pm
Touché... I didn't thought of that... DOH! Anyway This random babbling will be long finish until she find the time to post here. She got lots of work to do.
Thu, 11th Mar '04, 5:52am
"Of course it is. Now, have the men been trained in operating these contraptions?"
"I have hand picked men for the siege crews, yes."
"An unruly lot."
"Perhaps you'd care to crank the bloody thing yourself, you pompous ASS!!!"
"Excellent. Shall we see what havoc we can create with our new toy, boys?"
Thu, 11th Mar '04, 5:55am
Grrrrr, downloading this bloody Check the Bodies mod and my internet decided to go off when it hit 98% - talk about being unlucky

Not a bad shopping trip last night... I got a pair of sandals, a purse, two shirts, a pair of pants, and three shirts for Velcro.
Today I have to go to two different stores to try and find the rest of the stuff we need for vacation. WHEEEEE!
Thu, 11th Mar '04, 2:42pm
Amusing fact: if my memory serves me right, this is the first time in history of BoM that we have 2 IoTW at the same time...
Thu, 11th Mar '04, 3:06pm
And here I thought there could only be one at a time. So if there is already an IotW, that doesn't give the rest of us (and I'm thinking mainly of myself here :D ) free reign to be stupid.
Thu, 11th Mar '04, 4:40pm
Who's the other one? Am I being challenged here? :p
Edit: I just went to chatroom and asked :D Got my answer...

Eh, I again post here instead of working in computer class... Anyhow my Computer is lacking a keyboard and a mouse So I have to use another computer. How convinent, since my ¨work¨ (the little it may be) cannot be acces.

Does anyone know the site where I can download older version's of programs? I don't like the newest version of mIRC because it has a 30 day timer on it that you need to register by. I want one of the older versions that doesn't have that timer. Thanks in advance!
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 7:19am
Well, the timer means jack all - mine just expired.
I was also under the impression that there would only be one IotW at a time - ah well - a first for everything.
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 7:22am
Howdy. Been a while since I've been here. Not that anyone cares, me least of all. I've been swamped with school. I have exams in 2 weeks, and I have been dumped on by assignments and such.
Stand up routine is going to make an appearance soon. I just need to fix a few bugs and get the cohesion right. THen you can all bask in my comedic brilliance.
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 7:33am
I think that all people in Grade 12 deserve the ****ty hours and homework, just to keep them in line and so that they can enjoy SP a lot more! :p
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 7:45am
I had the easiest exam today for Business and Computing - answers pretty much leapt out, thwaped me over the head, then landed on my page in the form of ink.
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 11:48am
I'm back at school :wail:
I don't want to be
I'm going to get into trouble :sosad:
2 out of 4 lessons I haven't got stuff for - got away with two lessons so far!
Just found out I missed a French test... a hard one... I hate french...
Forgot my Art book AND homework - I'm in deep trouble.
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 12:02pm
Gah! I want NaNoWriMo to be more often! I can't think of anything to do on the internet, and writing without aiming for a goal just doesn't interest me. I need some reason to waste a good deal of time on something that sucks.
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 12:15pm
You can help me with some mods if you need to waste time - or you can do all my homework so I have time to work on them ^_^
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 12:33pm
I think that all people in Grade 12 deserve the ****ty hours and homework, just to keep them in line and so that they can enjoy SP a lot more! All people in their teens should get freaking loads of homework to keep them from juvenile delinquency :p
Plus, compulsory classes in etiquette. Two hours every day if need be.
Also physical encouragement to learn proper spelling and grammar.
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 1:50pm
All people in their teens should get freaking loads of homework to keep them from juvenile delinquency I'm in grade 10, and this semster I have English, Math, Science, and Drama, and I'm getting basically no homework! Does that make me a delinquent?
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 1:54pm
What sort of Mickey-Mouse schools are they running where you live?
Good luck doing a maths exam without having had homework during the year to practice on. Unless they have made your exams easier to compensate . . . .
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 5:44pm
Oh, I do get homework, but it's usually real easy, and I can do it in class. Not only that but I'm labelled as a "gifted" student in the area of math, and believe me, it shows. I've got the highest mark in the class with an 89, and if you can believe it, I haven't studied yet this year for math! But thats going to change soon. :p
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 6:04pm
Wait til Grad School! High School seems like sleeping...
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 8:03pm
I get loads of homework! :sosad:
I do not see the point in it!
We are set homework so we don't copy friends - so we copy a website?
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 8:04pm
I'm in grade 10, and this semster I have English, Math, Science, and Drama, and I'm getting basically no homework! Does that make me a delinquent?I'm afraid you're in high risk division ;)
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 8:17pm
Just got 120/120 and 98/105 in AS level History and English, respectively. And I have an interview thing with The University of Oxford on monday. I'm goin' for the top, baby!
Fri, 12th Mar '04, 8:42pm
@Yerril, woooo great results! I got an A and a C for English Lang/lit and physics. I think 6 people from my school are off to that interview thing as well.

Is it weird to think a person is attractive despite the fact that her hair is about as long as your own?
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 4:44am
Not at all, though does that mean you have long hair or she has short hair?
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 5:08am
Must be short hair.
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 6:52am
How did you get it?
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 7:18am

Empiric observation tells us: chevalier feels damn bad.
From application of Theory of Chemical Balance in chevalier, we know that:
If chevalier feels damn bad, it is either caffeine shortage or alcohol shortage in blood circulation.
Empiric observation tells us: chevalier has had 3 strong coffees today.
Therefore by application of modus tollendo ponens:
If it's either low caffeine or low alcohol and caffeine is not low, then alcohol level is low.
From above inference we conclude that:
chevalier needs damn much to get loaded damn soon

Sat, 13th Mar '04, 7:55pm
@Yerril - what college are you applying to? I'm at Wadham (don't beleive all the stuff you hear about us)
And why are you being interviewed in March? I thought that all the interviews were in December
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 8:10pm
I have a cold
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 8:11pm
It's not an actual interview, its a conference for potential candidates. If I do decide to take the plunge and apply, interviews won't begin 'til gone september. I will soon begin the harrowing process of finding exactly the right college for me. I plan to do English Language and Literature for 3 years, get myself a BA, then move to the University of East Anglia for a 2 year MA course in Creative Writing and English Literature. Of course, only time will tell.
PS. I quit my job! WOOOooohoooooo!!
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 11:36pm
Why did you quit? Didn't you like it?
Sat, 13th Mar '04, 11:46pm
6 is a funny number.
The ancient Egyptians thought it was cool because you could do so much with it.
There is also 666, which I never quite understood. Alot of people get worked up over it.
Sun, 14th Mar '04, 1:28am
I just completed my fun fun legal report. had to go through al the details of buying realty. Anyway, a nice rounded 3768 words. Good fun, eh?
My room is also now being permeated with the scents of insence. Good smells, although there is a bit of a stigma with inscence and smoking pot...
Sun, 14th Mar '04, 4:58am
I remember the last time I drank three kinds of alcohol with incense & cigarettes smoking and windows closed. And I'm trying to forget...
Sun, 14th Mar '04, 7:53am
How come words that are used to represent laughter in books are never used in real life.
I mean, the last lime you forund something funny, did you start by saying 'snicker', then 'chuckle' and 'chortle', and finally just finish it off with a big 'guffaw'?

I need help with the Mazzy mod I'm trying to work on.
I was only meant to do the coding. Then the person who asked for my help disappeared, returned and now disappeared again. Somebody who was helping took all the material and is making it into their own mod.
So I've had to start again. I only have two dialogues written. But I'm meant to be working on Peril and Alice as well. I'm also getting homework and stuff going on at home.
I don't want to give up on the mod but I can't do it all on my own :(
Sun, 14th Mar '04, 1:56pm
@Jaguar - much worse would be if you actually said "lol" (I've been known to think it, but I'm pretty sure I've never said it OL)
Sun, 14th Mar '04, 5:47pm
Man these cold and flu remedies suck, I got lemsip and it says take 8 every 24 hours and I took 24 in 8 hours and I still don't feel any better
Sun, 14th Mar '04, 6:21pm
Now, I don't want to be responsible for anyone ODing, but think about this
These medecines are going to be taken by all sorts of different people - from 6' 5" heavy weight boxers to little old ladies. Not only this, but the companies making the medecines have to cover their arses, so not only do they want to make sure that those dose they say you can have won't make anyone ill, but they also want to build in some margin of error just in case.
So, chances are, most people can cope with way more than they say your allowed to have - about 3 or 4 years ago I took 4 days worth of paracetamol in about half a minute, and despite throwing up for several hours I didn't have to go to hospital. I'm 6' 2", but pretty skinny.
On the other hand, lemsip is hideously expensive, so you might not want to go overboard just because of that. It does make me feel better, but I guess everyone is different.

Bah. Just drink water, eat lots of fruit and vegetables, get a good night's sleep and have garlic in your meals. Your cold will be gone in no time. Keep it up and you will hardly ever get them again.

I think I just finnished my taxes but I sure hope I didn't make a mistake on them. I hate doing taxes.
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 7:10am
Simple solution. Don't do them. It'll take them years to catch up with you, and then you can just skip country and develop a new identity.
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 8:47am
Hehe, that would work. You'd have to choose the right sort of country though, some have agreements with each other.
I have posted three posts in one day, so far. It's the most I've posted in a long long time...
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 11:00am
Me too. I'm sorta working my way up to the 1k mark, and then I'm going to just sorta... stop.
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 11:08am
I have just returned from a hellish mess. For the school's Open Night, doing drama, I had to dress up and do some street theatre. I was a salesman of freaks, with my friend being a freak.
Needless to say, no one bought him...
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 3:20pm
Time to go to work.
Then I get to go home and forum around here and play ALFA.
Moral of the sotry is:
I want work to be over before I have even gotten there.
*edit* Just noticed, I have 420 posts ;)
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 3:24pm
What is the significance of 420?
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 3:31pm
I have some friends that actively use lol in every day language...
Gives me the creeps... :mommy:
And I have 168 posts.... So what?
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 4:42pm
Anyone here know a good deal about reading and writing music? PM me if you would.
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 4:48pm
I want Deus Ex 2 :( Only have to wait a week and a half.
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 5:11pm
Me wants HotU, and me will be the first to play it through!...
What you say? It has allready been done!?
I'm 18 in 3 days, 19th of march... Then I can order HotU, and anything else, for that matter... :D
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 5:25pm
Is there an age limit on buying Hordes of the Underdark?
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 5:48pm
Well, at least for buying the game from this site that I wanted to order from. But, from another, you just need to mark the "My parents allow me to buy this game" button and shop away... :D
The latter did not have HotU, thus making me look for other sites.....
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 8:58pm
420? It is the pot smoker's number. Can't say that I do it, but it is funny, least in my eyes.
Mon, 15th Mar '04, 10:39pm
Is there an age limit on buying Hordes of the Underdark? In some laws, a contract with a minor (below legal age) is valid but not effective until confirmed by a custodian, if it's anything bigger than casual everyday contracts like grocery shopping. If a custodian disagrees, it's void. Or the minor can confirm the contract if he gets legally adult by the time and his legal representative says nothing until then. As you see, it's not so hopeless, but quite messy, so it's better to make contracts with adults only ;)

In the Darkness there is a Flame it illuminates your soul and burns in your Dreams A little rhyme for Olachath. One of my Drow characters.
Went to my mothers' friends' party. Saw her son I went to school with.
He looks like Jack Osbourne.
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 5:23am
wow...that can't be a good thing. Unless you were at a party at the Ozzy house that is.
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 7:41am
I never realised how large the gap between the 'cool' people and my friends is. Trying to plan something involving creativity with them is like tackling elephants - it just doesn't work. Hell, it's hard enough to get them to understand you, let alone agree.
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 10:28am
Hey Sarevok-, I know a little bit. What's the problem.
Ps. I would have pm'd you, but im lazy.
I have to perform my stand up tomorrow. Wish me luck.
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 10:47am
Just stopping by to procrastinate a little bit more...it's 4:40 in the morning here, I'm working on an essay that's due at 11:30am and is worth 20% of my final mark, and I've written 1300 of 3500 words...so I got a ways to go....so yeah, just procrastinating a little bit longer...and eating probably my 2398562nd chocolate bar tonight...yay
EDIT: and by "procrastinate", I mean "spam"...and if you don't know what "spam" means...I won't help you because I'm too damn tired to know what I'm writing right now...meh
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 2:45pm
Happy Birthday to me!!!
Work all day, then pick up the kids, feed the kids, bathe the kids, put the kids to bed, and finally, collapse my tired backside into my bed until it all starts again the next day.
Yeah, happy birthday to me. Whatever.
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 2:54pm
Happy birthday to you, Bigstick :)
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 3:56pm
Happy Bday :)
Just found out the receptionist at work is intreseted in going out with me - worth thinking about I suppose.
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 7:18pm
Happy Birthday BigStick!
I got the day off school today because most of the school went off to their lil higher education fair! Hell yeah!
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 7:47pm
Happy Birthday. And stuff...
Tue, 16th Mar '04, 11:22pm
I am better now
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 12:18am
Good stuff. :)
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 2:45am
Ha ha, the 500th post milestone for me baby :D
And about time too. Roll on 1000!
:EDIT: Damn! When I read my post count in another thread it said 499. Now it says 501. ??
Oh well  5-0-1... woooohooo
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 5:14am
I guess number 500 was so special that it was invisible!
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 5:15am
Congratulations!!! I'm almost there myself...
And NO, this post is not a spam attempt to get myself closer to that coveted milestone!
So to add something of substance to my post...I'll just say that the meaning of life is....oh wait, can't tell yet, I have to wait till my patent comes through, until then you'll just have to wait in suspense. HA!
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 5:37am
Spring break is fun, cept the whole thing that I can't go drinking on St. Patty's day. :(
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 8:23am
Work day tomorrow :(
A whole day off school, but working. And what's worse, all the money goes back to the school.
It's slave labour I tell you!!
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 10:23am
Ah, the good old school work day. Hope it's not too back-breaking. :)
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 11:23am
I have decided that I like Nightwish - Yay!
Now, to get to Queen Street...
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 11:26am
happy St. Patrick's Day everyone
May the luck of the Irish be with you all :D
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 11:31am
Cool. St. Patrick's Day! Amazing how this has become a world-wide drinking event, even for people who would not normally give Ireland a second thought. Good stuff. :thumb:
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 11:31am
Wow, if you didn't just say that it's St Patrick's Day, I would have been entirely oblvious. Yet, I still cannot find it in me to care overly much. (What's it about again?)
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 11:41am
St. Patrick is supposed to have driven all of the snakes from Ireland (according to legend).
I think most people just use it as an excuse to go and get drunk on Guinness
(I know I will) :xx:
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 11:46am
Well, theoretically, it is a day for the Irish to commemorate their patron saint, Patrick who lived in the 5th century AD and has been recorded by some as being the person primarily responsible for converting Ireland to christianity. He is often depicted as a hero who drove all the snakes off the island nation.
But somehow, St Patrick's Day in the 21st century is now an excuse for people all over the world to drink lots of Guinness. :)
[EDIT: Defspeal got in before me...]
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 1:53pm
Happy birthday. Happy St. Patrick's. Especially to those who don't believe in saints but will gladly use one as an excuse for getting drunk :p :shake:
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 2:32pm
Thanks all for the birthday wishes.
Just found out the receptionist at work is intreseted in going out with me - worth thinking about I suppose.I ended up married to the (part-time) receptionist at my last job. Though it was I who pursued her, it is definitely worth pursuing. Actually, I'd say any potential relationship is worth the time to explore, when you're not currently in one anyway. ;)
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 2:42pm
Yeah, go for it man! So long as you want to, that is.
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 5:38pm
I'm off to the pub. Lets see how many ladies I can convince that guiness is two 3rds pigs blood.
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 6:41pm
Lol, why would you want to convince them of that? I suppose that means you wouldn't have to buy them drinks. . .but IF you did manage to convince them then they would probaly be vomitting on your shoes. . .which isn't a good option either. Personally I would just pay for their damn drink.
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 6:51pm
Not going to the pub until later now :(
@Fade - its a long story, involving a guiness, a mates rather stupid girlfriend and a toothbrush. Now its tradition to see if the fairer sex will brave pigs blood and beer. Looking forward to it already :D
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 7:00pm
Wee, I'm not an idiot anymore :)
I'm soon going for a profile change I think....
I'm tired of Daephon...
BTW, I won't create a new account, just change this one...
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 7:32pm
Is this to hide your shame ;)
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 8:07pm
Idiocy doesn't leave with the plaque :shake:
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 9:03pm
Hehe, sorry to disappoint you guys, it's not. I've found a nickname that fits me perfect(it's actually based on my own name :) ). And I will change it soon, I think...
BTW, my quote sucks right now, it's the first one I had. I've asked Tal to change it :)
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 9:36pm
Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
Everybody, join in! St. Patricks Day toasts!
May you have warm words on a cold evening, A full moon on a dark night, And the road downhill all the way to your door.
May you have food and raiment, A soft pillow for your head, May you be forty years in heaven Before the devil knows you're dead!
Here's to you and yours and to mine and ours, And if mine and ours ever come across you and yours, I hope you and yours will do as much for mine and ours, As mine and ours have done for you and yours!
May you live to be a hundred years With one extra year to repent!
May the face of good news, And the back of every bad news Be toward us.
May the road rise to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. The sun shine warm upon your face. The rain fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again May God hold you in the hallow of His hand.
Wed, 17th Mar '04, 11:31pm
Despite being Irish and growing up in Ireland, I have never heard of what you have just posted Jaguar :) . So are there any other “real” Paddy’s here on SP? Well happy St Paddy’s day to you all and it is St Paddy’s day to Irish folk btw
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 3:39am
Well, I'd only heard that last Irish Blessing myself.
BTW, has anyone seen my motivation? It left me a fwe days ago. Lately, I don't even have the motivation to get off the couch. The only reason I'm here today is that I had an appointment I couldn't miss without risking losing my Unemployment benefits.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 3:42am
Whats a bucking bronco got to do with st. paddy's day? I fell off 6 times and pushed off once by some gorgeous bird with an attitude problem!
Had a good night though ;)
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 11:28am
Blackbirds singing in the dead of night...
Don't you just hate it when people are by themselves and start to sing. And then they find out that you have been standing there for the whole time, listening to their terrible singing...
Anyway, Happy St. Pats (1 day late). My brother went out last night to get gone off bad tasting green beer. But he didnt care. Celebrating the irish, or somesuch. Now he's gone to celebrate Thursday. I think he should seek counselling.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 11:36am
Yay! I have Arcanum and System Shock 2 - and it looks like both work on my crappy computer!
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 11:36am
Handed in my Masters thesis. No more university. Ever.
Unless of course I decide to do a PhD and ruin the rest of my life.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 11:49am
You make it sound so appealing to someone who intends to go on to do his PhD. Thanks.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 12:03pm
Heh. Forgive me, I've just spent the last 2 months in a lab.
What project have you got lined up, Baezle?
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 1:09pm
The Tourney starts today, the Tourney start today!!! WhooHoo! Go March Madness!!! My brackets are all filled out!
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 4:10pm
Yay, my 9:30 class was cancelled today, now I get to dick around in my room 'till 1:30, woot.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 4:38pm
I dont like my gem. Jasper, like, plain sucks in the looks department. Only worse gem in that regard I can think of is this Tchazar thing. Andar isnt great either, but that nasty is already behind me. I want a Garnet, or what its called. Even better - an avatar. But I have nothing to offer... too bad.
Must get rid of the Jasper... must do some serious spamming... yes I will use the SPAM... without losing my posting privileges, of course.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 5:05pm
Yay! 500 posts for me too!! (Looks like all that spamming paid off...)
This is a special day indeed!
EDIT: Err...501, whatever.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 5:36pm
It seem that each time I spend more times in real life than on the internet, the random babbling post get another pages. My e-mail have a new option but I don't know what the hell it does...
¨Écrire un SMS¨ (Write an SMS) anyone? I use YAHOO if anybody care.
Anyway again, I use my time of computer class to come and spam here.
Gee, it's scary, Since I meet Naveed ¨more seriously¨ I've gain a lot of wisdom...
I seem that I'm mature and that my speach are ¨brillant¨
I also have more social life with real people. It's scary!
Well, in fact at home I'm the youngest and since I was 7 me and my parent always had ¨mature and brillant¨ talk (yes I can be intelligent)
And when I go the Naveed's place I'm the second oldest (she's older than me)
edit: ... I made the 6th pages, and typos too
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 5:46pm
Sorry for brining up such an old discussion, but who more than Dapheon had the IoTW plaque?
And the member formally known as Dungeon Master(yes, you will never get me to stop calling you that), most humans is together with their partner for about, lets say, 3 month before they get tired of eachother and ends up hating eachother, or gets married, so you hafta enjoy the time you have.
Of course, I am not one of those normal people, I have been together with my girlfriend since 14 february 2003, and we still love eachother.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 5:50pm
A member called "people person - i eat people". Without the ""(what are these called? I know it, but can't remember) of course...
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 6:03pm
Quotation marks, unless there's some crazy technical term out there...
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 6:19pm
I usually call them speech marks, I've heard the teacher call them inverted commas' and quote marks before though.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 6:34pm
Quotation mark, funny....
I knew it, but I was stuck :)
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 9:22pm
I see you changed your quote, but what about your Avatar?
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 9:46pm
It got delayed :p
I must contribute something first, but I don't know what to contribute yet......
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 10:12pm
How about ... Money! :money:
I here that is quite useful.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 10:53pm
Greetings from sunny Florida, y'all! If my presence on the BoM or in the FAI is a tad sparse for the next week or so, now you know why.
No, I haven't left in a snit, real or imagined. You won't be rid of me that easily.
Thu, 18th Mar '04, 11:03pm
MWAHAHA! I finally have XBOX, Gamecube, and a Playstation 2! But most importantly, I also have Final Fantasy Anthologies!
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 2:27am
Here I am stuck in snowy Ohio, but am I bitter?
Nooooooooooooooo!!! Well, maybe just a little.
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 2:54am
Isn't Florida supposed to be full of old people and the Mafia?
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 5:20am
And oranges, don't forget the oranges.
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 10:46am
Hmmm... I wonder if in the whole world there is anyone female who has kept and fulfilled all promises over a continous period of at least one month.
Well, and there is also my dear ever-faithful Caffeine who never fails. And booze. And beer. And wine...
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 11:26am
Beware Chevy, for that way lies the Way of Eze (if slightly inverted).
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 11:52am
Chevy - that is a pretty pessimistic outlook. You must have had some bad experiences lately.
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 12:54pm
Happy Birthday Mum. She turned 41 today. Tomorrow is a mates 18th, and yesterday was another mates 17th. Sunday is my uncles 40th. Busy time of the year, 9 months ago.
I am rather tired, and i really should go to bed. Night all.
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 2:26pm
"Dawn of the Dead" comes out today!!!! I can't wait to see it!
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 2:28pm
Really? Hmm, need to find a lady to go watch it with.
Damn, none in sight. Hmm, maybe I will just force my brother to go with me then, lol.

Fri, 19th Mar '04, 3:24pm
14 hours and 58 minutes ago, I became an uncle.
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 3:25pm
Well done to you. "Dawn of the Dead" is out here too. Next week is the confusingly similarly titled "Shaun of the Dead".
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 3:43pm
Doh, had a strength-test today, it was hard...
I did it quite well though :)
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 5:00pm
I have to be the unluckiest person when it comes to work. I just got out of the dog-house with my boss and then somebody goes and puts me in for a shift (after I already got my hours) last night and then gets angry when i don't show up. Its all MY fault apparently
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 7:50pm
The weather around here is weird. Snow this afternoon, thunderstorms tonight, and sunny until then.
I half expect a hurricane to come ripping through town, just to show me who is boss.

Fri, 19th Mar '04, 11:00pm
This will make me a Bloodstone.
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 11:04pm
Everyone, may I have your attention please? Thank you, now kindly look over to the left and gaze in awe and wonder at my spiffy new portrait! Yay, right? Oh, it's so pretty, I wub it so! *sighs contently*
Fri, 19th Mar '04, 11:44pm
Not as good as mine  Naw, I wan't Baldrak's
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 12:08am
*bows to DarkGoddess* ;) Nice portrait.
Personally, I like the avatars of Morningstar & Velve best. They look... scary. Scary is good.
I want one, too. Not necessarily a scary one.
Will make an offering (sacrifice) :D to Tal as soon as I have got a job again.
Right now I'm as poor as can be. :/
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 12:32am
@DG: the avatar looks nice.
Which reminds me I must get a beer :D
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 12:54am
Sorry, but I won't give it up... ;)
I was actually quite suprpised that the Tazok puppet was still available when I got to choose an avatar. Never regretted the choice. It looks meaner than I am, but you can't have everything....
Great idea, I'll get me a beer too...
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 2:00am
Party tonight, driving lesson now, exams next week and I haven't started studying. Fun fun fun.
One more post and I hit the 1K mark. Huzzah for me.
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 3:43am
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 9:03am
All this talk about avatars. You know, I think I'll just break down and try out this shiny new credit card I got here. :money:
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 10:54am
My b'day party was just awesome. Being 18 rules. :D
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 3:20pm
Happy birthday, Uytuun! Especially for you, I will issue a Chevalier's Reluctant Smile of Doom and a Chevalier's Cheek Peck of Fainting :D ;)
Let the spam be with you! :tie: And may your eyes never see the bottom of your bottle
From now on, however, alcohol, cigarettes and the like will gradually lose all the charm ;)
:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

"national security concerns that would arise from the release of the evidence"
Sounds like someone finally decided to play ball. If I had to wager, I'd wager the information he finally coughed up was *really* good. Like, names and dates and stuff, instead of feelings and generalizations. Which is always nice to have, but numbers are more precise.
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 6:20pm
I am so tired ;
Sat, 20th Mar '04, 8:35pm
Why, thank you very much, chev. :D
Believe me, the booze flowed in great amounts last night..still recovering. ;)
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 12:20am
Woo! My website is beginning to look vaguely pretty!
And graphics heavy too :(
www.dragoneyestudios.tk (http://www.dragoneyestudios.tk) *wanders off to bully 8people into writing her some content*
Bully...? I meant convince! Yeah, um, yes, thats what I meant.

THis moment's so filled with mixed emotions, I can't handle it........
I'll better go to sleep :(
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 3:13am
Hmm, I think I may start a new thread - need some feedback for my game design thing (designing a children's game and programming it).
Or I could do my RE assignment which has a due date looming closer and closer.
Or study for the many exams I have this week...
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 8:42am
*bows his head in a moment of silence in respect for the death of the Kingdom of Sorcerer's Place*
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 9:11am
Yes. It is dead. Officially now. All material of use has been stripped and shall be converted for use in other such world building projects. The forum is about to be removed.
It was interesting at least, when all was running. Now however, it has fallen into the realm of Useless Crap. So endeth an era of procrastination.
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 11:17am
I never had the chance to ever go there!
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 11:23am
Like you would have anyway :p
I'm open to go onto other world building projects, it was quite interesting. I think I might convert all the KoSP material into an original world.

Hmm...I think now's a good time to procrastinate...the essay I haven't started isn't due till tomorrow, so umm, uh...procrastinating...
PS- I love Nightwish, I love Nightwish...etc.
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 7:19pm
Backup all your files and format mate. Do you want to risk it?
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 7:49pm
Daephon... Ad-Aware ( http://www.lavasoftusa.com ) and ZoneAlarm ( http://www.zonealarm.com )...
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 7:56pm
I've fixed it already, it wasn't a serious warning, just some spyware from a *****y company of some sort. I searched the net to find out what was wrong, and found out that CWShredder kills that "thing" quite easy.
Anyways, the warning message just pops up as the Start Page, no matter what you do....
It isn't dangerous or anything, it just pisses you off....
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 9:44pm
Get Ad Aware, it is free so you can download it. Just run it, remove the crap.
btw, Zone alarm is more trouble then it's worth :)
Sun, 21st Mar '04, 9:55pm
I got that one too man. Scared the s*** out of me because it had indicated what city I was in. I was thinking "Ok, who is in my computer". So I cleaned everything out. The inside of my computer is now cleaner than Martha Stewarts pirson cell.
Mon, 22nd Mar '04, 1:56am
Ho kosmos kalos esti. The world's beautiful. :D
The world is beautiful for I have just won another drunken ladder match on battlenet. This time on wine, though. I guess wine gives me more finesse while beer provides a greater straightforward succesfullness.
To type this, I need neither to be sober nor to see the keyboard - it's completely dark in my room. I barely see the wine glass.
But that's not strange. That's perfectly normal about me. The strange thing is that I'm apparently going to stop being single. Am I getting old or something?
Mon, 22nd Mar '04, 7:26am
Beware Chev, the world always seems beautiful when you are about to have a partner, but it can get very dark if the partnership does not last.
I'm not saying that you shouldn't take a chance. There is nothing like being close to someone you are attracted to and enjoy. I just think it's hard for people to keep their eyes open when they are rushing head long after their heart.
Mon, 22nd Mar '04, 7:59am
Not again. I'm bleeding. My fault, my razor. My wrist. Oh well, it'll stop soon.
Gotta get back to my essay. Just might cut again a little later. So stupid.
Mon, 22nd Mar '04, 8:20am
So. Stuff and all that.
I have nothing to do. Sure, I could do that Geog report that is due tomorrow, but I think I here ToB calling me. There are fire giants to battle...
Mon, 22nd Mar '04, 8:23am
Back after a weekend of relaxing in the cabin, where I turned eighteen and ate some cake... :D
Hmm, playing Halo at the moment is the only thing that is keeping me from doing absolutly nothing. :hmm:
Mon, 22nd Mar '04, 12:35pm
I just winged a 600 word essay on some anonymous person we got to choose who shows that they are a 'truly alive human being'. I chose John Lennon. I finished in half an hour. It's so obviously crap, I'm going to get an A. You watch.
I'm so bloody tired right now. I had 16 hours of sleep over Friday - Sunday. I'm sorta thinking of subjects I can sleep in.

@Dragonfly: Thank you... I know how it will most probably end - the same way as about 16 times until now. Still, that's not a reason for me to kill it before the time comes - much as you say. This one will probably not end violently or be cut abruptly, but will die out in the normal course. My bet is second thought or "things have changed".
@Beazle: 16 hours of sleep is what I usually get over Monday - Friday ;)
Heheh, got sober and lost half the points I won overnight :D
Should start studying for the damned test in property law tomorrow. But breakfast before business. There is a proper time for everything. And a proper sequence. Lasagne, I'm coming!
And coffee, of course. There must be coffee. Coffee must always be. It is the basis of proper sequence. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Nice avatar, DG! Welcome to the club!
Oy, did I ever get sunburned on the beach yesterday. Note to self: Never use any sunscreen less than SPF 15 on your first day on the beach in almost two years. :( My thighs hurt so badly that I have to go buy a skirt that won't rub like my shorts. Any excuse to go SHOPPING... ;)

Hmm, still playing Halo (and writing these boards at the same time  ) and I still don't know what I will be doing with my newfound adulthood..... :hmm:
Anyway, anyhow and by any means: SPAM!!! :p

@Rally: when I was young and beautiful (and stupid, most of all), I would get up, get two coffees (and nothing else) and go to the hot beach in Spain or Greece to make up for the drinking night loss of sleep. No creams, no oils. Hehehe. Instant tan, some sleep and sobering up all in one go :shake:  :shake:

Done and done. This was probably the worst essay I've ever written in my entire life.
EDIT: Yay! New page!

Vulpine Paralogism by Funeris Nocturnum has one of the coolest keyboard melodies ever.

oHHHhhh why is it when you put your lighter down you can never find it 10 seconds later
Mon, 22nd Mar '04, 9:53pm
Because lighters have feelings to and get offended if treated incorectly - in this instance the grow legs and run off - never to be seen again, unless in the unfortunate incidence where the lighter gets tired and it's legs drop off.
So remember people, Lighters have feelings to.

I am sure there are some dark forces at work in my home. I would love to know where they all go
