View Full Version : POLL: Whats your IQ? (according to this site)
Wiegraf Folles Sat, 8th May '04, 1:48am http://www.intelligencetest.com/ Take this test, you have a 15-minute time limit, so try not to do it when you're busy or something. Then in the poll, choose your range, and if you want, tell the exact value in a message.
Edit: Btw, I got 150

Ahrontil Sat, 8th May '04, 6:55am There are a few IQ threads already in Whatnots, you can do a search for them.
This test was shorter than most and it seemed easier, but it still came out with the normal result for me, 130 (with six questions wrong/unanswerable).
How many questions are you allowed to get wrong to achieve a score of 150?
[EDIT] As Morsmordre says later, don't use your real email as you will be bombarded with junk mail.

Jaguar Sat, 8th May '04, 7:00am Above average with 128. A score that I am happy with, if I do say so myself. I may be no genius, but I ain't slow. :D
Xei Win Toh Sat, 8th May '04, 10:50am 137. Just add another 3 before the 7. :p
EDIT: 139 in Stanford-Binet and 159 in Cattell.

8people Sat, 8th May '04, 11:02am I got 138. :xx:

Barmy Army Sat, 8th May '04, 12:08pm These things are just a pathetic cover to get your e-mail address's. Don't bother.
teekc Sat, 8th May '04, 1:56pm test involves english skills, as of other iq test, i always do badly on such question.
Wiegraf Folles Sat, 8th May '04, 2:33pm @Bluin I don't remember how many i got wrong, but i think it was only 2 or 3.
chevalier Sat, 8th May '04, 3:15pm I got 141 in their scale, 144 in Stanford-Binet and 166 in Cattell.
If it had been in my first language, I wouldn't have screwed up the letter arrangement one that I simply gave up with. And spatial intelligence parts got me a headache.

Cespypoo Sat, 8th May '04, 5:49pm 133
I got 134 on some other one before, so thats probably about right
"Gifted" though...? Balls. Im about as gifted as a person who's been sent a Hand Grenade withuot a pin for his Birthday.
Wiegraf Folles Sun, 9th May '04, 5:29am apparently someone here is a genius, cause there's one vote for above 160. who is it?
chevalier Sun, 9th May '04, 12:08pm I don't know, but we have several Mensa members on these boards. Also, your 150 is described as already mild genius if it's in Wechsler or Stanford-Binet. In that test's explanation, the borderline was 145 in Stanford-Binet.
You probably should go and take Mensa's exam, but their ones are typically harder than those on the internet.
Deathmage Sun, 9th May '04, 2:12pm Deathmage is an idiot! A mere 99! Yay! :)
Try to beat that, suckers.
Takara Sun, 9th May '04, 2:49pm I'm surprised with myself. I managed to get 138. I'm fairly chuffed. :D
Wiegraf Folles Sun, 9th May '04, 3:32pm @chev do you know of any sites to take a Mensa exam?
chevalier Sun, 9th May '04, 3:34pm I would start with mensa.org (http://mensa.org), but there are many regional mensa sites, with mensa.XX addresses where XX is the national suffix. They don't guarantee the results, so you always have to go there and sit a real pen and paper exam to join.
Ishmael Sun, 9th May '04, 8:39pm 131 which Is exactly just enough to comprehend most of the threads on this board, but not enough to contribute profoundly hahaha
reepnorp Mon, 10th May '04, 12:56am 141 for me.

Malovae Mon, 10th May '04, 1:50am I can't be bothered to take this test but I did an online one about 2 or 3 months ago and got something in the 140's. I'll settle for that :) not that I believe they are accurate.
Aldazar Wed, 12th May '04, 4:17am Merely 144 here, no idea about that Stanford-Binet/Cattell stuff though.
Aldeth the Foppish Idiot Wed, 12th May '04, 7:54pm @Wiegraf
You're from the US, so chev's site is the way to go. They have admissions tests periodically. The procedure is they first mail you a test, you take it at home and send it back to them. Then they send you a letter telling you your results, and whether or not they recommend for you to take the actual admissions exam. I'm not sure what the average Mensa's IQ is, but you have to be in the top 2% of the nation.
EDIT: And I want to know which 4 questions I got wrong. The one with the dice was the only one I wasn't sure on.
chevalier Wed, 12th May '04, 9:10pm Hmm... I always thought it was the top 2% of whole Earth's population. But then, they apparently have different score requirements, too, than they had when my information was accurate.
Hugo Thu, 13th May '04, 1:59pm I got 144, with three questions wrong and 1 not answered.
I feel dumb today, I've been tested medically for over 150 (actually busted the test ghehe), but that was before I started smoking and drinking.
Now I'm becoming dumb
Fallen Paladin Thu, 13th May '04, 3:12pm I got 92 :mommy:
Ankiseth Vanir Thu, 13th May '04, 4:30pm Greetings Idiot
Thank you for taking the test... You scored higher than 99 % of all the people that took this test.
chevalier Thu, 13th May '04, 9:50pm @Big Bald Ranger: 144 in Wechsler scale is about the same as 150 in Stanford-Binet and they most likely used Stanford-Binet in a medical examination. Also, such little differences are a normal thing and come down to stress, concentration and other factors as well as generic differences between tests.
Heheh, once they made me do tons of stuff and they didn't give me any score. It was a side thing in getting medical papers for my poor handwriting. It says "exhibits a very high level of intellectual development", but nothing specific. Oh damn, it was actually seven years ago.
people person-i eat people Sat, 15th May '04, 4:32am 133, but i seriously doubt im that smart, i would say more like 125, but im not complaining :p
