And third post too :D
I invented many a mathematical rule today during my math's exam. Chances are that they don't fit in with the commonly accepted mathematical rules, but oh well. Twas better than leaving the paper entirely blank.

Fourth! Best yet, I think.
And the spacebar on this keyboard sucks, gotta hit it really hard to get it to work.

Britney is my age or younger and she looks older than my mother.
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 12:06am
don't be ridiculous
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 12:17am
I agree, that is most ridiculous :p
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 12:32am
Britney is ridicilous
Fake pumped up poor music people person
She should be replaced by Amy Lee, the lead of Evanascence.
Who actually make music that isn't torment to listen to.
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 12:34am
She is HH*, and most people who are HH*, are indeed ugly, or at least not good looking.
*HH = Hollywood Hot
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 2:00am
Remove make-up and all those "hot" ones look worse than next door girls or workmates.
And I was dead serious about Britney.

It's true. A lot of young girls who live a wild lifestyle, wear a lot of makeup, use drugs to stay thin, smoke etc seem to lose their beauty really fast.
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 5:38am
@ Dragonfly: :D Thanks, that second link was a lot easier on the eyes...
You know, listening to my coworkers talk about soap operas make me glad I don't watch them.
Also, it's a good day when the boss buys everyone lunch.

Come on Chev, don't try and hide it. :nono: Your in love aren't you?

Woohoo! NZ beats the World Champion English 36 - 3 at the House of Pain. Go the All Blacks!
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 2:14pm
I've never been in love. I've only had temporary brain malfunctions, but Britney hasn't been the cause of one. She'd better not open her mouth, really. Better still, not leave her house at all
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 5:09pm
Britney is just ugly... And can't sing. Also she is a spoiled brat! Face it :p
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 6:38pm
Well, I tried to enjoy it. I really made the effort. I looked the other way and just tried to get caught up in the act. I didn't compare it to others like it, and I tried not to over emotionalize the whole thing. But in the end, it's just not the same. It kind of had the same feel, but I think they tried to get everyone doing it instead of letting people adjust to it. That's what the first two times were like; you adjusted, not it.
I think it was a good idea, but got caught up in the fads surrounding it and it lessened the entire experience.
Also, Brittney is an attention-*****. That is the highest maintenance kind of chick in the world. High Maintenance == Poor Lover.
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 7:02pm
Wohoo!! 1-0 to Greece against Portugal in the first half. Gotta love it. :D
EDIT: Now it's 2-0. I guess some people placing the bets are going to ethier have a bad day or a wonderfull good day. :D

Sat, 12th Jun '04, 7:38pm
Kind of funny though...all you guys talking about the pretty, high-maintenance girls with too much much makeup that are unworthy of your attentions....and yet when I look at the selections for your 'women of choice' in the "five soundest lasses" thread etc. a lot of the choices seem to fall into that fake beauty catagory.

yet if they didn't wear make up and everything they wouldn't get a second look :p
Therefor: fashion and stuff sucks
sometimes it just looks odd anyway... like medival times and stuff...
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 9:42pm
I saw Alyson Hannigan withoud make up, and still say she's pretty!
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 10:57pm
Tired... going cycling tomorow, but its only 22 miles or something, so it shouldn't take too long.
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 11:23pm
/me tosses in the towel.
I've decided that I just won't ever work up the courage to actually ask her out. And regardless of the fact that whatever signals I may have gotten were very vague and tough to discern; I see no other way but to take them negatively. So essentially; I can't help but feel that she isn't interested in me at all.
So basically; my mood will deteriorate for the next few days, but will return to normal (whatever that is) as soon as I actually forget about her (which *may* be tough...and not only 'cause she lives next door...).
I just can't deal with that anymore. I'm tired of seeing her face every time I close my eyes. Seeing her smile. It has to go away.
:p no more whines about my weakness in the RB anymore.
Sat, 12th Jun '04, 11:56pm
Oh, for Pete's sake!
Club her over the head, drag her off to your cave by her hair, and take it from there.
Alternatively, go for a walk (with her), and just talk. About anything. And see what happens.
Honestly, you sound as wussy as I was when I was younger. :p And then, when I finally got over my wussiness, it all worked out OK. ;)
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 2:50am
@Faerus: To give up the whole thing would be a greater display of weakness than going there and talking to her, bumbling and stuttering while getting dumped with 75% chance. Really...
@Dragonfly: Since when is Alyson Hannigan in the beauty area? :p
I'm not complaining about high maintenance. Contrary, I go for ones that know their value (which does not basically mean price, even though some people don't get it) and don't come cheap. My comment had no deeper meaning than that models, singers and actresses don't typically look better than other girls if you remove make up and things. Even those that are supposed to be so "hot"... Oh well...
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 3:06am
@Chev Actually I was using a couple of examples from the 'Soundest Lasses' thread. She was one of the fine ladies someone mentioned.
I actually think that both women are beautiful. My point was that they also both probably wear as much makeup and create as much a false image of themselves as miss Britney. As well, I don't deny that some of my choices of fine 'lads' are equally fake. I'm pretty sure that Johnny Depp had more than a little makeup on for his role in Pirates of the Carribean :D :D .
My husband of course is not included in that catagory.
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 5:15am
Hah! Here is what the Random Quotes say:
Deathmage: I'm not gonna become like Taluntain!
Slith: Deathmage is therefore mortal
:D  :D
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 5:56am
Is it ok to give up now ? Naturally, I didn't really give up; and we went on another walk today. :p At one point (not too sure how/why exactly) we started talking about crushes; and when she asked me who I liked in the area...well, I slowly (jokingly) put my arm around her shoulders and said "You". I then retracted my arm and said "and that's everyone." She didn't really say anything right away, and when she did talk again, she changed the subject (go figure!). Later on though, it kinda came up again; and she gave me the whole "I like you, but not in that way." thing.
*sigh* Oh well...at least I know now. So I can get back to being myself; whoever or whatever that is. Meh. At least I won't get rejected when I'm back in my shell.
Oohh...and tomorrow, I start my 7-day stretch at work! Yippee! (NOT!!!!)...guess it's good for me though; hopefully it'll provide some sort of distraction. Better than moping about at home...

I think I'll eat some ice cream to give myself cheer.

I just got asked to leave my old job because my new job is a 'conflict of interests. So I put in my two weeks at my old job.
What I need now are ideas on how to go out with a bang. I work in a grocery store so keep in mind lots of people and an intercom system...

I really should not be here, but I am still posting here. I feel ashamed of myself.
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 1:45pm
Last night I found out that liking a girl is hard when everybody around her loves her. You can't keep her for yourself that way :S. And still seeing her kissing an other guy is not that cool.
I'm a bit confused right now...
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 1:50pm
I feel for you Faerus, know how it feels, but I really think you should try to stay friends. in the beginning it might hurt, but wouldn't you rather have that wonderful person in your life, albeit not in the way you wanted, than cut her out of it altoghether?
And who knows, when you get toghether without you feeling the pressure to make a move you might get along so well (since you say that you can go back to being yourself now, I take it that you've been rather stressed around her and that's not really attractive) that she'll start changing her mind. If not, you still have a special friendship to enjoy.
Just don't try to forget her. When you're past the awkward stage you'll be glad you didn't.
And yeah, working will take your mind off things. So go make some money. :)
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 3:46pm
Uytuun, you speak truth.... From personal experience, I found that I get on with ladies soooo much better as friends and then when I fall for them all of a sudden it is a) not so easy to talk to them and b) sorry, I like you as a friend but nothing else or o.k, I'd love to go out (it then ends in disaster as I usually say/do the wrong things). But getting back to the point... it is gut-wrenching when this type of thing happens Faerus but its amazing how fast you can start feeling better if you don't 'go back to your shell' and go out and do something with friends or even go out with some strangers on a date basis for some company. Anyhow, this is what helps me through those times you have found yourself in and they may not help you. You just have to ask yourself, what will cheer you up. :)
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 4:23pm
Don't burn your bridges. You never know what the future will bring, especially not with women involved. If she isn't genuinely repulsed, she can get to want you at any point. Especially when you actually start to date someone else.
What you have to do now is to be strong and not come back to the subject. It's her turn now. Start dating other girls or at least meeting them on some basis. You don't have to do anything, just meet them, talk, dance, have good time, whatever. She will probably try to approach you a couple of times but shy away until at some point she decides to talk to you. I mean, unless she is physically turned off for some reason, though I doubt that.
That you shouldn't come back to the subject doesn't mean you shouldn't flirt with her or even hit on her like you would normally do to an attractive girl.
Your getting out of her reach will be quite a strong stimulus to act, really. That's how it works in this screwed-up world.

I hate computers. They suck. Dumb infernal contraptions.
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 5:56pm
Computers are not dumb - contrary to popular belief. They can be trained and used in imaginative ways - for example.
This computer here *pats monitor* has been trained by myself to hate my mother. Right on que it will crash, play random sounds, close her windows, maximise my own or turns it's monitor off. It's also been known to spit out her floppy disks whenever she tries to put them in.
My laptop however is slightly less trained being about three years younger and not as experienced only manages to load up the screensaver as she approaches it. Thankfully however, it knows to behave if I actually *give* it to someone and is a lot friendlier.
Thus proved computers are not dumb.
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 6:25pm
Well tomorow is my english exam which is my first final exams. It should be realy easy. As I live in a french region, the government think we are attarded in english. Behold for yourself:
Bob eat an apple
Question: Which fruit Bob is eating?
Question: Determine if Maxim's idea are different than Alice's idea
Maxim: Well Alice my idea are different than yours.
Sigh... I wonder if I should even bother going to it.
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 6:38pm
It should be realy easy. As I live in a french region, the government think we are attarded ;) Does spelling count?
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 7:44pm
@8people: It's... complicated. Things aren't always what they seem.
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 8:06pm
Um...question...is it a BoM tradition that Tal and ONLY Tal start the Random Babbling posts? Well the predeccesor to the Random Babbling Posts was started by Slappy and one of the Random Babbles was started by Blackthorne (prompting rampant claims that BTA was plotting to overthrow Tal  ).
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 8:12pm
Right... Did I made spelling mistake? Anyway they don't count spelling mistake, only syntax.
Anyway I never said I was fluent in english either...
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 10:00pm
Question: Determine if Maxim's idea are different than Alice's idea
Maxim: Well Alice my idea are different than yours. Wow dude that IS a though question men!
Maybe Maxim is lying! You never get a chance to look in her head and see what she really thinks! Keep that in mind befoe you takr the exame!
Sun, 13th Jun '04, 10:11pm
Um...question...is it a BoM tradition that Tal and ONLY Tal start the Random Babbling posts?Well, as mentioned before, Slappy and BTA have started them and once Beren did it as well, and that is when he was a fresh moderator, so he were really ambitios back in the old days. :D
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 1:03am
Our Warriors have engaged the enemy.Noooooo. Our Warriors had engaged the enemy. That's why there's all those mangled indescript body parts laying all over, right now. That's why you just tracked all that blood through my office, nitwit. Honestly, you need to get your act together. I can't have people around me giving me reports on historical events. Don't you get CNN where you're at?
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 1:44am
Ofelix, I was just teasing :D , actually your english is way better than my Spanish although I can get by in it. Both my grammer and spelling are pretty rough though.
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 2:01am
Ouch, ouch and more ouch.
Just got back from a girls weekend at a friend's cottage and I am very sunburnt. Sometimes I hate being so fair-skinned.
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 2:14am
Well, as mentioned before, Slappy and BTA have started them and once Beren did it as well, and that is when he was a fresh moderator, so he were really ambitios back in the old days. All that needs to be said here is that the previous Random Babbling thread had ballooned to well past the desired 500 limit. I pretty much had to close it and start a new one. You could say that I was duty-bound in what I did. :)
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 2:22am
Excuses, excuses ;)
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 4:47am
I hear that vinigar is good for that type of ailment Laiwethel. Unfortunatly you just might end up smelling like a salad or a dill-pickle. You could also try taking a cool bath with baking soda in it. Might take away a little of the pain.
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 4:53am
 When did I say I was gonna (try to) cut her out of my life? :p Not a chance! And not just because she's my neighbour... We actually spend more time together now than we did before...which doesn't say much; 'cause I only used to see her once every couple days.
I actually don't think that I was ever really "stressed" around her. Maybe a tad weirder than usual; but nothing that can't be explained away by a year away at uni ( :p ). Heh; by "going back to being myself", I just meant that I'll hopefully be a little less depressed...
And as much as I'd like to go out with my friends, I can't. None of my other friends live less than a 1/2 hour drive away...and I don't drive/have a car. *She* is the only friend I actually go out and do stuff with. So that's cool.
And by "going back to my shell"...I mean just being who I used to be before I realized I had feelings for her.
:p so chev's saying that to get her to like me (in *that* way), I have to start seeing someone else? :shake: This world really is messed up.
Aie...today sucked though; I had her face plastered across my thoughts all morning, and I could hear her words ("I like you, but not in the way you like me") echoing in my head. Managed to forget about her for like 2 hrs in the evening; then she came roaring back on some stray thought...*sigh*
And bleh! I get to get up at 4am for the next 2 days; but only if I wanna get to work on time (and not lose my job :p )
Whoa...my RB posts seem to be getting longer and longer... :p
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 5:08am
Thanks for the advice. I actually just had a cool bath and slathered some aloe vera gel on the burned patches of skin, although the baking soda and cool bath idea sounds good.
I'm not looking forward to bed tonight. My shoulders are completely fried. It's going to be a fun night.
Edit: Whee! New gemstone!

@Ara: Nice to hear everything's all right. Heheh, hope your sister won't regret that ;)
@Faerus: Don't worry. It's not the last time something screws up. It won't make your life any worse, trust me. I've gone thorough it over twenty times now and what? Apart from crippled personality it doesn't affect me much :D
@8people: Perhaps he's playing games on Battle.net or GameZone and you were slowing down his transfer
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 2:26pm
lol! Wouldn't surprise me actually ;)
Earlier he took control of my friends computer and it displayed his desktop and controls and everything he had open. Then he just gave her back control. So I think he's got a boring day today. Not enough yr8 to torture so he'll move onto the yr10s :mommy:
Mon, 14th Jun '04, 3:02pm

Sometimes I wish I could just sleep for a whole night and late into the next day. I'd say that maybe it's something I'll be able to do when I get old but I think old people have a hard time sleeping a lot anyway. I guess I'd better just quit my whining and drink more coffee in the morning.

Oh my! You're in California, Arabwel? Way cool!
Well, not really where your at, anyways. The usual way to fight it is to wear skimpy bikinis and stay in the water all day long.
The state capital and the state museum is around there. Not all that big of deal (if you ask me) to a visitor. You might see about taking a little "day trip" west to see the Golden Gate Bridge. It's kind of neat, and you can always pick up a t-shirt that says, "Alcatraz Swim Team" (Alcatraz is an old prison-island around there that was always flauted as being escape proof).

*Bump* is how ones performs the action 'to bump'. Bumping is getting a topic that has slunk down off of the top few in the list back to the top by simply posting 'Bump' (sometimes incorporating ASC][ or other variations such as 'Bumpety Bumpety Bump').
It is generally done when one wishes someone to respond to the topic.
Tue, 15th Jun '04, 10:12pm
Who put the 'bomp' in the 'bomp de bomp de bomp'?
Tue, 15th Jun '04, 10:32pm
The return of the badgers :D
Tue, 15th Jun '04, 11:03pm
Not the badgers again :mommy:
Had a school trip today. Saw an albino peacock which was really nice. It was to a little childrens theme park :o all of the people in my year who do Business Studies. They are all really loud but we had to go around in groups. So on the coach I just sat and read my book because I don't like being around people too long. Also hurt my eyes because the sun was too bright :xx: coudn't go on most of the rides, mainly because I didn't want to. So all in all... could have been better... would rather have been doing something useful, perhaps at home :(
Tue, 15th Jun '04, 11:28pm
While bumping is pretty ubiqutous (and annoying) on most boards, it's nearly unheard of at SP. Goes along with our policy of everyone posting having to post something worth posting. So when a thread does get brought back on top of the list, the person who brought it up usually did so with an on-topic reply. Hence, no replies with just *bump* in them.
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 12:10am
Random babbling is on-topic here, isn't it? :D
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 12:31am
I have managed to do it a few times
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 3:40am
Yay. I get to sleep in tomorrow...sort of. Which means I get to stay online late tonight (hehe...probably gonna go to bed at the same time I've had to get up the last couple days... :p ).
Working out really does help relieve stress/emotional distress. Good stuff.

Wed, 16th Jun '04, 2:15pm
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Must be a faulty keyboard. :D

/me goes back idling
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 6:08pm
Still alve, folks [Big Grin] Thank god not ALIVE. (Notice the careful, well-placed sarcasm here.)
Ara, no offence, but recently, your writing have become less, readable, so to say. California is cool, although not in the literal sense... Ah, it must be the California-effect that is showing on her. :D
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 7:06pm
Yeah Crimson Room rules! That other was cool two but I liked Crimson better. We did finish it some weeks ago at school.
Can you picture that? 4 students siting in a row screaming: I found the Battery! Wher? By the bed! It was so cool.
I go for a beer tonight but must do some work first!
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 8:12pm
I don't get how to do those rooms. They're too hard for my little brain :(
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 8:16pm
Hurrah! Done both rooms.
I'm great at that sorta game. These were quite challenging though.
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 8:47pm
Hmm, in the green room I got the CD case, the beer, the incense and the lighter, six chinese characters, a medecine bottle, black hair, two photos and a frame. I put the beer and the CD thing on the shelf and lit the incense but now can't find what to do. Damn. What's wit hthe weird noises coming from the dark room and the skeleton anyway :mommy:
Red room I opened the drawers, got two rings, three keys, a battery, a cassette, a memorandum, Cd case and the weird box... and the have an HMV outside the window, lol
*goes back to puzzling*
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 10:55pm
Oh yeah, definitely a falty keyboard. That, aand the fact that I can't see what A witng properly... AM USING wireless keyboardo wth the TV internet at my hotel room, since my dad's credit card is paying... the problem is lousy resolution and other nasty side effects. In fact, I am prety much typing blind, sine all I can see is fuzziness :/

Happy birthday, Taza! *hugs*
Oh, nd getting a tattoo tickkles :D

Wed, 16th Jun '04, 11:16pm
Gotta new job, starting Tuesday making $9.25/hr and working full time (for the summer). Better than the $7.75 I'm making now with random hours.
Oooh...and I get to work tonight too. In 45 mins. Bleh.
Wed, 16th Jun '04, 11:48pm
@8people use the lighter on the hair a few times Then a patren will show click on the hand of the skelleton untill you find a key. Then take the blanket and use the lighter on it you will get it from there!
One thing a memorandum? What the hell is a memorandum? I did finish Crimson room about 12 times now and I don't know what you can mean with a memorandum??? Oh I know it's that note you find with the website on it! Check that site it's important! and also look for a metal pin by the bed :p
Happy happy Joy Joy Me! I'm happy while everything goes wrong verry strange :p . I gonna see the elves in the weekend that would by cool Fantasy Fair here I come!

Thu, 17th Jun '04, 4:02am
Gah. I have an essay and a seminar presentation to do for Monday, and the final exam for this course is a week today.
I am going nuts here.
Dark Haired Beauty
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 4:36am
You know its time to re-evaluate where you live when two strangers knock on your door looking for their pet pot belly pig that they lost a week ago while visiting the cemetery. Then you tell them you hadn't seen it; then your mom asks who that was and you tell her and she says the neighbors said a pig wondered over to their place; then you go all the way over there cause they don't have a phone then you found out they butchered it and smoked it.
"Why do I hear "Dueling Banjos" music in the background?" :mommy:
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 4:40am
Deedle een deen deen deen deen deen deeeeeeen........
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 5:51am
Fnar fnar fnar. Fnar? Fnar! Fnar fnar.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 6:19am
Did the people who owned the pig for a pet find out what happened to it, Dark Haired Beauty?
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 6:20am
This week's Screenshot of the Week is hilarious!
Where did the Penguin come from?!
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 6:32am
Man, I really have no clue why I'm not on these boards as much any more... I'm glad I have my old life (yet I'm only 15) back, yet I'm sad I couldn't even spend enough time to make 300 posts in one year... And to date I still have yet to beat IWD1, IWD2, or BG2: SoA or ToB, obviously.
/me weeps in a where-does-time-go? sort of way...
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 6:45am
No offence dman but if not spending enough time on this board is your biggest problem in life right now, maybe you should do a little more living.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 7:03am
Life where did it go? I think the bugger ran of.
/me gets a net and charges off in hot pursuit to catch it.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 8:10am
Life really is messed up. Now that I'm getting over being rejected by this one girl I really like; I find out that this other girl from work(who I incidentally have a small crush on), likes me. In *that* way.
Oh boy...guess I'll have to ask her out soon; before she stops liking me.
*sigh* Life is nuts.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 8:14am
Oh boy...guess I'll have to ask her out soon; before she stops liking me I wouldn't worry about that so much Faerus. If this other lady is interested in you then making her wait a few days before you approach her for a date will probably just make her more interested.
Why don't you just flirt with her for a little bit and see where that goes?
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 8:18am
The greatest thing happened yesterday. I was with my sister counting out what little amount of money we had in order to buy food (2 bucks). Now, medium sized hot chips are $2, and there was no way I was sharing. So then this guy goes up to the place to buy something, and drops a two dollar coin! Hoorah, and the day was saved by my expert scabbing skills
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 8:35am
I like the way you think Dragonfly. Flirting is exactly what I was really planning on (seeing as how I'm really too much of a wuss to ask her out anyway). Though I might be able to find a way to bring it to her attention that I also kinda have feelings for her... :shake:
We're working together again on Saturday night, so I might have a chance to say something then...
EDIT: @Aik's post following this one -

And so the Faerus saga continues...
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 9:16am
Yesterday, I was the wild man that I am known to be. First, I corrupted the nuns in the convent across the street by dancing in front of my window in my birthday suit.
Later, after convincing my boss why she should keep my on as her 'special' assistant, I skipped off for the rest of the day to teach my nude bungee jumping lessons.
It was on the dance floor that night that I really was in my element. I had all the girls in the club dancing around me in a circle, all of them trying to convince me to go home with them.
I figured I shouldn't deprive ladies of the chance to go home with me, so I called five cabs and took them all home.
Well diary, it is noon, so I had better be getting off to work now. But I just had to write down all of this so I know how lucky I am to be me, Chevalier.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 11:05am
Glee, mad one test-exam and scored pretty decently on it. Eek, found out that I have another exam next week, and too little time to study for it properly.
Egh, I'm going to need the massage I was promised later today.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 11:18am
The hockey team I'm coaching now has a 100% win rate since I've taken them over! From not having any victories at all before, mind you. And now that Michelle is helping me coach the team we should be even better! No more loses for us!
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 11:37am
Harbourboy, a NWN DM can do some interesting things in the game, e.g. change player appearances. And yes, NWN actually has a penguin model, it was just never used in the game. You can see it in the Toolset though.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 11:48am
That particular one is from ALFA's DM wand. It has a great option which can turn players into all sorts of things, as fade proved :D
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 11:59am
Oh my goddess! I'm sleepy, but there is somuch I must learn for school and also somuch I must do :S.
Well better get started...

Thu, 17th Jun '04, 4:41pm
Me! Although wildfire was taken already, it was quite dissapointing.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 4:51pm
Hey, has anyone else gotten the 100 MB mailbox from Yahoo! ? I logged in the other day and they upgraded it for free...my 4 MB mailbox became 100MB and my attachment limits have gone up to 10 MB per mail.
I asked my girlfriend, and some of my other friends, and they all have 4 MB boxes still...soo...does anyone else have any idea what I'm talking about?
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 5:01pm
Loads of people on some other forums have had it improved, I was under the impression that everybody's account had been raised to 100 MBs, but I can't get to the site right now, so I can't see whether I do. But it matters not, since Gmail gives you 1 gig of room, with 10 meg attachments. :D
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 5:12pm
Ara is back again . :D
Welcome Back - you were missed.
/me should check this thread more frequently

*Finds herself in the green room*
is there a blue room as well? someone said there was...
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 6:50pm
I don't know about the blue room but I remember having a hard time trying to escape from the bathroom one day when I broke the lock.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 9:53pm
I got the 100MB mailbox from Yahoo as well. I am definately not complaining about it.
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 10:03pm
@ 8People So you did finish Crimson? Good! Forget the second part of my PM then :p
Life is good Hard work lot's of parties and moms that ruin your shirts :p .

@8people: I'm not teasing Meatdog. I've never been drunk enough to hit on males. Not even the long-haired ones. I always make it out in time... :shake:
@Faerus: Let's make it crystal clear: it's a very good thing to know who's having a crush on you. As a rule, someone always is. Perhaps a couple persons (after all, people can have crushes on multiple people at the same time as well). The problem is knowing who it is. It's difficult to learn that if you're preoccupied with a crush on someone else, though.
It's difficult to tell anyway. I can always tell if a girl is being immediately attracted to me, but can't tell if she's having something longer in time, like a crush. I often learn such things too late. It sometimes feels bad to know that probably someone's feeling the same regarding you as you're feeling regarding the person for whom you have some unreturned feelings. For a change, it would be good some day to have a crush on someone who's having a crush on you instead of having crush on someone uninterested and being uninterested in someone who's having a crush on you.
Oh damn, I'm sounding like Bravo Girl :D :p
Thu, 17th Jun '04, 11:35pm
Enough done for today let's relax for a wghile amd carry on tomorow!
It really sucks when you must to something and your teammate isn't helping at all! I wish it was finished. I wanna see the elves! :p
I stay up just a little longer zo I can sleep better...
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 2:09am
Against my better judgement I'm going to watch the finale of WBS superstar. I'm almost ashamed that I have an interest in it. Hopefully the "winner" has a positive reaction when he/she finds out the prize is for the worst singer.
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 2:57am
Harbourboy: It's in beta right now. People who work for Google, or who are frequent users of certain bloggers got an account, and had the ability to invite a certain number of people to the beta, and I managed to snag an invite off someone on another forum. :D
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 3:01am
You techo-insiders! Well, make sure you test it properly before it gets released to the rest of us. I'm expecting a quality product now.
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 3:07am
Heh, course! In fact, I've already reported one bug! Although it turned out to be my silly browser settings instead of a bug. But the thought was there!
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 4:18am
Yeh I got a friend of a friend to invite me
I'm convinced that they set up the whole thing just to stop me from blocking all cookies from google.com though  (I'm far too lazy to allow/deny cookies on an individual basis, so I generally do it by site)
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 4:51am
Ok...another 4am start tomorrow...seems like that's how the rest of my summer's gonna go. Meh.
"That's what old people do; they die."...lol! Old School's hilarious. (sorry Splunge... )
Saturday's only another day away... :D
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 5:19am
Gmail isn't popular with everybody so far . . . .
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 5:48am
My Yahoo mail account got upgraded to 100MB too. Considering I rarely even have 1 MB of mail in there at any given time, it's just more fluff to me... :D
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 6:48am
It's been almost an hour since anyone posted anything on the Boards O' Magick.
But on a lighter note, it is only 15 minutes until the weekend.
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 7:19am
Gmail - Big brother is watching. The age of the internet is only the start. It's amazing how much information about ourselves we leak out in every day conversation. When the conversation is recorded it can be analyzed over and over. I often wonder about who knows me more than I would like to be known.
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 7:36am
Big Brother watching over us is doubleplus bad  . Who has the right to watch over every little thing that we do or say?
Man, I really need to re-read that book. It's been far too long.
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 11:36am
If only I could stop the time, that would give me plenty of timeless time to do stuff. Question is: Is the Internet working when there is no time?
Well 4 down 37 to go!
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 1:24pm
GAH! Of all the songs to get stuck in my head, why does it have to be It's Raining Men? WHY?!?!?!
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 1:39pm
Heh, this (http://www.nichodaemus.com/halo/040428.htm) page pretty much counters most of the concerns people have about Gmail's supposed 'invasion of privacy'.
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 2:30pm
Wildfire's posted five times in one RB...
Is the world going to end now? :D
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 2:38pm
that fight last night on big brother was pretty funny
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 2:45pm

Fri, 18th Jun '04, 5:51pm

Fri, 18th Jun '04, 8:32pm
My series of dreams revolving around fully detailed faces that I've never seen in real life has returned. Oh well what this time...
Fri, 18th Jun '04, 11:11pm
The main reason why Gmail isn't scary is because someone could track everys single thing I do on the internet and it wouldn't be very interesting (ooh, he just posted something silly on Boards O' Magick, oooh he just went to the BBC Sport page, ooh, he just looked up some news!)
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 12:50am
Hmm, I keep getting nightmares :mommy:
and next week I'll be staying at grandmas... so no internet... NOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooo...
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 1:39am
Yeha but you get to swap it for the granny smell of chicken piss!
And tea and biscuits of course.
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 5:21am
Do you believe in extra sensory perception Chevalier? The other possibility is that you have seen these faces before but you just don't remember. Subconscience can be like that.
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 6:01am
*sigh* I hate it when I get days mixed up. At least my friends didn't mind, but boy did I look airheaded. :bang:
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 6:10am
I was gonna revert to my old, standard random daily updates/babbling tonight...BUT after what just happened, I'll have to stick with my convoluted/non-existant "love-life" (as Jag so inaccurately puts it... :p ).
Seems like I may be getting together with the first girl (ie: the one I REALLY like)... :flaming: will have to wait till tuesday night to find out for sure though; or to get my hopes smooshed yet again.
And please remind me to hate my father forever and ever for interrupting our tender moment...though I think we managed to keep the hood over his eyes...
*sigh* I wonder if this means that I'll have to choose between the 2 girls? Not looking forward to *that* crossroads...
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 6:13am
I have been feeling so off these past couple of days. I haven't wanted to do anything, which is bad, as I have a lot of stuff to do for Monday.
I need a life outside of school....
Best of luck with everything, and here's hoping that you won't have to choose.
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 7:41am
Hmmm... Its been a while so... PILLOWS!!!! :spin: :rolling:
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 11:06am
I don't know what your grandmother is like but mine is certainly not like that. Staying at grandmas means I only have my laptop - which means no internet and that I have to do all my typed homework at school (read - all of it) also means if I leave something at home I get into deep trouble. And with my memory that is bound to happen.
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 11:52am
Oh yeah... Staying at grandmothers... That sounds like the source of nightmares!
I had a pretty weird dream tonight, about some people I know. There was one girl ther and in my dream het boyfriend was a complete loser that got angry when I kissed her on the cheek :D
Maybe I must not play Avantasia during the night...
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 2:43pm
@SleepleSS: Indeed, that guy does seem a loser... Unfortunately, there's quite a lot of such guys. Oh well, but maybe it's for the better. After all, you need losers to distinguish yourself as a non-loser, don't you? :D
I guess it comes down to customs and habits. For instance, you may have friends you kiss on the lips instead of the cheek even if they aren't single and friends whom you don't kiss even on the cheek even though they are single. Oh well, just remember who belongs where and it'll be fine ;)
@Faerus: Heheh, don't I know that... Yeah, it ends like that when people can't decided. And always when you're about to get along with someone, some old flame or an ex appears like deus ex machina and messes everything up. In theory, I'd stick to the person who can make up her mind if I were you. I would try and learn the reasons why she had first said she didn't like me that way and in a short time said something more or less opposite to that. I would also try and learn if the other girl is only interested as if impressed by an attractive guy or if it's more personal.
Anyway, life proves that if you can't choose between two persons you had better go for a third or none at all.
Cheer up. At least you don't owe anything to anyone and don't have your hands tied ;)
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 5:21pm
ohhh very fast yes I am almost there!!!
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 6:50pm
Oh well, in 8 post I'll join the 1k club so, here I am spamming to get nearer the 1000th post.
Anyway I just realized that I tried the 3/4 of the ¨Big¨ Fun before 16 years old! (I'm 15)
I had my first real kiss
I drank my first beer, and my first vodka shooter
I had my first girlfriend
I never had sex though...yet
I also never smoked weed though I'm not really looking foward it...
Just out of curiosity do you think I'm bit young for all this?
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 9:47pm
Not really. Though you may run out of things to try by the time you're 20.

Sex, no, your not too young. BJust be careful says Uncle Morsy.
Weed. Maybe... when your young and not used to it. It will make you more ill that beer does. But after the first 1 or 2 times, you'll be ok, son ;) .
Sat, 19th Jun '04, 10:02pm
If you try weed at a younger age there is a change you don't use it anymore when your like 20. Because it's said and done.
Myself I stopped using weed after a teribble laugh kick. I was with one of my closest friends and he really got annoyed at that time :D .
About kissing cheeks: Yes I have my categories :p

Sat, 19th Jun '04, 11:56pm
You're 16 => You're too young to marry => you're too young for sex.
That would be it :p
Weed is out of fashion and alcohol loses all charm once you're legal age, so who cares... But yeah, I had lots of fun drinking when I was 15-18 (18 here, not 21).
:coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Your 18 Chev? Your taking the piss surely
Judging by your manner I would have thought maybe a 60 year old priest.
Sort it out and enjoy yourself eh sonny jim? ;)
Smoke spliffs, get any shags you can, drink more beer than your body can handle and be as chilled out as possible. These rules will never lead you wrong mate ;) .

Too much weed leads to problems with concentration and memory. It also...ummmm...lost my train of thought what was I saying...
Sun, 20th Jun '04, 3:50am
Yah, I can say that my short term memory has probably improved over the last year. I still sometimes have problems concentrating.
Yesterday I discovered the joy of styrofoam!. I didn't realize how easy it is to carve and how easily I can get it for free. Suddenly my brain is just bristling with ideas.
Sun, 20th Jun '04, 7:47am

Warhammer to paint.
Might take Kuda with me as well, I don't like leaving my swords on their own.

@Dark Haired Beauty: The key to solving your problems is coffee. Essentially, whatever hurts you, coffee is good for it. Owing to the nature of your nick, I feel an unexplained current need to point out that we all know who makes the best coffee in the universe ;)
Sun, 20th Jun '04, 4:23pm
97 more members and we have 7000 registered :D a cause for pre-celebration methinks :D  :1eye:

Of course I shall always seek fun wherever it is! I think I understand what you meant by alchool loose it's fun once your legal age, well I think :D Anyway It's 2 years and 2 months of fun to go with beer it seem.
Anyway my girlfriend she isn't baptized (because she isn't catholic) How could I possibly marry her?
Vodka is strong! Vodka is 40% Vodka make my mouths feel dizzy! Vodka is my friend

we all know who makes the best coffee in the universe - yah, isn't it that latino guy on the donkey?
Malovae, lots of new members but how many of them do you actually think we'll hear from on a regular basis?
Sun, 20th Jun '04, 8:48pm
I have written all of 556 words for a 1500 word essay that is due tomorrow at 6:30 pm. I am definately going crazy right now.
Okay, so I know that Gaius (Caligula) was more than a little nuts, but needing to prove it is not comming to me right now. :coffee:
Sun, 20th Jun '04, 10:04pm
You won't hear from very many of those new members on a regular basis. As has been discussed before, only a small percentage of our 6900 members have posted more than a dozen times (20.6% for those who are interested).
Sun, 20th Jun '04, 10:07pm
That is probably a good thing
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 1:31am
Let's say you're out on the soccer-field (Football, for you Euros). And one of the chicks on the opposing team cries, "NO MERCY FOR THOSE WHO OPPOSE US!" Her arms shaking and her face quivering, as she directs it in your general direction with an outstreched arm and forefinger.
How would this make you feel?
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 2:07am
@Ofelix: If you're Catholic it's possible but it requires dispensation by your local bishop ordinary.
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 3:16am
Cool - soon the days will start getting longer again! It'll be summer again before we know it!
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 4:08am
And my head hurts like hell.
There's like two lines that goes from my eyes, to my head, to my neck. And the two lines are hurting the hell out of me.
I need sleep.
Will sleep when I get home. Only an hour left...
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 4:26am
Time to go to bed and get some sleep or I'm going to start getting brain damage.
For various reasons I may not be around. I should still reply messages but with some substantial delay.
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 6:00am
ROTFLMAO!!!!! An orangutan tearing a car apart has GOT to be the funniest thing I've seen in a long time!
:D  Things are definitely looking up. Looks like it's gonna be girl #1 for Faerus. (for those who can't/don't care to remember; she's the one I like more than anyone else alive...)
I think it might take a few more walks/talks for it to be "official". But I'm pretty sure the "drama" is over.
I *am* extremely curious though why she appears to have changed her mind from "just friends" to...umm, well...what appears to be "more than just friends" (hmm...of course; I *could* be misinterpreting what's going on...but I'm fairly certain I'm not...or rather: I *hope* I'm not). And I also wonder if she'll change her mind back to "just friends" anytime soon...
PS- "You make me feel safe" is definitely one of the best things a girl could ever say to a guy.
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 6:01am
500 more words on this essay, and I'm done. I can't wait.
Time for a light drink, then bed for a few hours before getting up to finish the essay, and prepare a seminar presentation. All before 6:30 pm.
Am I crazed or what?
Edit: Faerus, I'm glad to hear that things are working out!
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 6:04am
You can do it Laiw! If *I* can write 2000 words in a couple hours; I'm sure you can get all that done in time. With time to spare for a nap...or some more drinks... ;)
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 6:10am
At this stage, I think sleep is more important. I can manage 500 words in a couple of hours (I hope!), and then I can just finish the reading that I need to do for the seminar on Nero.
Silly Roman history. Why do I study it again?
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 11:20am
Last week of school, then two weeks holiday!
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 1:52pm
coffee kept mr going for 22 years now, it still is wonderfull stuff!
I did see elves yesterday but ther was one not that gothic goth girl with a high hat (Our how do you call it?) That took up my focus. To bad I couldn't make a picture, our found the nerves to talk to her :S.
Anyway tomorow there will be another test at school better start learning now! (And slay Orcs!)
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 5:39pm
BooholyYAH! Today's exam was a total nutjob, with them deciding not to question the important stuff, like neuro-anatomy and high profile syndroms, but instead deciding to milk out one silly syndrom that was mentioned once in a college for about ... 10 seconds. I had never heard of it. Still, I managed the other questions, and even scored a 67 out of 80 correct on my multiple choice! :D If I somehow still have to retake the exam, I'll go kill someone
Wednesday's exam is looking not so on the bright side, but I'll worry about that tomorrow. The rest of today is for chillin'
Mon, 21st Jun '04, 7:01pm
Dutch exam tomorrow, but I can't be bothered to do much about it. *sigh* love
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 2:23am
I just had the best day ever with my girlfriend :)
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 2:33am
@Faerus: "You make me feel safe" is one of the best things to hear, but one of the things that hurt you the most when it doesn't work out. Especially if the same girl ends up with some insensible brute that treats her like his chambermaid or a piece of furniture.
Perhaps she's changed her mind, perhaps she hasn't and she thinks for both of you to get back to the point immediately before you told her you liked her that way (and it's not possible). Who knows. Or maybe she's slowly getting used to you ;) Oh well, remember you didn't get rejected! She only said a couple of things but nothing close to definite.
@Laiwethel: Because historiam nescire semper puer esse as Cicero would testify :D
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 2:49am
ohhhhhh, i'm drunk again! theres a suprise..... were through :D bring it on Portugal :)
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 2:50am
If you're Catholic it's possible but it requires dispensation by your local bishop ordinary. Who said I want to get married anyway?
Tommorow last exams. the last! finaly! After this the summer vacation. Hurray!
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 3:44am
It's Tuesday. Only three more days until the weekend.
Wow, that thunder was really loud.
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 4:04am
And the essay is done! The seminar presentation is done! All that's left for this course is the exam on Weds, and the prof already gave us the exam questions. I can't wait.
:p I think that you might want to alter that to puella, considering that I am *definately* not a puer.
Meh...I'm not up on my Cicero though. You'd think that I would be after 6 years of latin.
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 5:49am
I think I'm just going to ignore the outside world for a while and hope it goes away.
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 6:40am
What sort of exam is it if you already know the questions beforehand?! What a swizz!
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 7:25am
In my opinion, it's the best kind. The prof gave us four options for the exam: to write it in the 3 hour time period without any knowledge of what is on it beforehand, a take home exam, to get the questions in advance but no notes allowed, or to get the questions in advance, and notes allowed. The final option was the class consensus.
We're covering a year's worth of material in an 8 week course. It'd be extremely difficult to study everything from early Roman Republic (200 BCE) to Nero (68 CE) for a 3 hour exam. So that final choice made the most sense to everyone (all 12 of us) in the class.
This has to be by far the best prof at this university.
:rolling: I love summer courses! :hippy:
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 7:56am
Got back alive, didnt miss a single flight, tattoo is doing fine and even if I had to spent the night at the airport, it wasnt my fault!
Miss ya, guys. Will log in and come to chat in a few hours, when I get to the library.
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 9:13am
wow - my grandma brought me to school while there was sunlight!
Last time she bought me to school we were a bit early... we watched the cleaners and teachers arrive... then waited about an hour until the first normal pupil arrived then I went in.
So yay. Unearlyearlyness!
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 10:06am
Well I have my first re-test (Our how do you call it if you got a second chance to do a test?) today! I hope I do it right this time :p .
I think I go to school early to get some coffee before I start. And then try to focus on the test and not on all the other complicated sections of life!
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 2:43pm
I think that you might want to alter that to puella, considering that I am *definately* not a puer. You should definitely file a complaint with Cicero :p
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 4:32pm
You should definitely file a complaint with Cicero :p If I had a time machine, I probably would.
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 7:10pm
If I had a time machine, I probably would./me smiles cheesily :p
:coffee: :coffee: :coffee:
Coffee and cinnamon cakes. Exam tomorrow. Life sucks. Hope I'll pass. Holidays after that. A good thing, as people are getting interested in my translations, tutoring and the like. Perhaps a website to make as well. Money doesn't make you happy... if you don't have it :D
Tue, 22nd Jun '04, 9:00pm
