Well, I tried to enjoy it. I really made the effort. I looked the other way and just tried to get caught up in the act. I didn't compare it to others like it, and I tried not to over emotionalize the whole thing. But in the end, it's just not the same. It kind of had the same feel, but I think they tried to get everyone doing it instead of letting people adjust to it. That's what the first two times were like; you adjusted, not it.

I think it was a good idea, but got caught up in the fads surrounding it and it lessened the entire experience.

Also, Brittney is an attention-*****. That is the highest maintenance kind of chick in the world. High Maintenance == Poor Lover.

I've decided that I just won't ever work up the courage to actually ask her out. And regardless of the fact that whatever signals I may have gotten were very vague and tough to discern; I see no other way but to take them negatively. So essentially; I can't help but feel that she isn't interested in me at all.

I'm not complaining about high maintenance. Contrary, I go for ones that know their value (which does not basically mean price, even though some people don't get it) and don't come cheap. My comment had no deeper meaning than that models, singers and actresses don't typically look better than other girls if you remove make up and things. Even those that are supposed to be so "hot"... Oh well...

@Chev Actually I was using a couple of examples from the 'Soundest Lasses' thread. She was one of the fine ladies someone mentioned.

I actually think that both women are beautiful. My point was that they also both probably wear as much makeup and create as much a false image of themselves as miss Britney. As well, I don't deny that some of my choices of fine 'lads' are equally fake. I'm pretty sure that Johnny Depp had more than a little makeup on for his role in Pirates of the Carribean :D :D .

I really should not be here, but I am still posting here. I feel ashamed of myself.

Last night I found out that liking a girl is hard when everybody around her loves her. You can't keep her for yourself that way :S. And still seeing her kissing an other guy is not that cool.

I'm a bit confused right now...

I feel for you Faerus, know how it feels, but I really think you should try to stay friends. in the beginning it might hurt, but wouldn't you rather have that wonderful person in your life,albeit not in the way you wanted, than cut her out of it altoghether?

And who knows, when you get toghether without you feeling the pressure to make a move you might get along so well (since you say that you can go back to being yourself now, I take it that you've been rather stressed around her and that's not really attractive) that she'll start changing her mind. If not, you still have a special friendship to enjoy.

Just don't try to forget her. When you're past the awkward stage you'll be glad you didn't.

And yeah, working will take your mind off things. So go make some money. :)

Uytuun, you speak truth.... From personal experience, I found that I get on with ladies soooo much better as friends and then when I fall for them all of a sudden it is a) not so easy to talk to them and b) sorry, I like you as a friend but nothing else or o.k, I'd love to go out (it then ends in disaster as I usually say/do the wrong things). But getting back to the point... it is gut-wrenching when this type of thing happens Faerus but its amazing how fast you can start feeling better if you don't 'go back to your shell' and go out and do something with friends or even go out with some strangers on a date basis for some company. Anyhow, this is what helps me through those times you have found yourself in and they may not help you. You just have to ask yourself, what will cheer you up. :)

Don't burn your bridges. You never know what the future will bring, especially not with women involved. If she isn't genuinely repulsed, she can get to want you at any point. Especially when you actually start to date someone else.

What you have to do now is to be strong and not come back to the subject. It's her turn now. Start dating other girls or at least meeting them on some basis. You don't have to do anything, just meet them, talk, dance, have good time, whatever. She will probably try to approach you a couple of times but shy away until at some point she decides to talk to you. I mean, unless she is physically turned off for some reason, though I doubt that.

That you shouldn't come back to the subject doesn't mean you shouldn't flirt with her or even hit on her like you would normally do to an attractive girl.

Your getting out of her reach will be quite a strong stimulus to act, really. That's how it works in this screwed-up world.

Computers are not dumb - contrary to popular belief. They can be trained and used in imaginative ways - for example.

This computer here *pats monitor* has been trained by myself to hate my mother. Right on que it will crash, play random sounds, close her windows, maximise my own or turns it's monitor off. It's also been known to spit out her floppy disks whenever she tries to put them in.

My laptop however is slightly less trained being about three years younger and not as experienced only manages to load up the screensaver as she approaches it. Thankfully however, it knows to behave if I actually *give* it to someone and is a lot friendlier.

Thus proved computers are not dumb.

Sometimes I wish I could just sleep for a whole night and late into the next day. I'd say that maybe it's something I'll be able to do when I get old but I think old people have a hard time sleeping a lot anyway. I guess I'd better just quit my whining and drink more coffee in the morning.

The state capital and the state museum is around there. Not all that big of deal (if you ask me) to a visitor. You might see about taking a little "day trip" west to see the Golden Gate Bridge. It's kind of neat, and you can always pick up a t-shirt that says, "Alcatraz Swim Team" (Alcatraz is an old prison-island around there that was always flauted as being escape proof).

Had a school trip today. Saw an albino peacock which was really nice. It was to a little childrens theme park :o all of the people in my year who do Business Studies. They are all really loud but we had to go around in groups. So on the coach I just sat and read my book because I don't like being around people too long. Also hurt my eyes because the sun was too bright :xx: coudn't go on most of the rides, mainly because I didn't want to. So all in all... could have been better... would rather have been doing something useful, perhaps at home :(

The greatest thing happened yesterday. I was with my sister counting out what little amount of money we had in order to buy food (2 bucks). Now, medium sized hot chips are $2, and there was no way I was sharing. So then this guy goes up to the place to buy something, and drops a two dollar coin! Hoorah, and the day was saved by my expert scabbing skills :grin:

Yesterday, I was the wild man that I am known to be. First, I corrupted the nuns in the convent across the street by dancing in front of my window in my birthday suit.

Later, after convincing my boss why she should keep my on as her 'special' assistant, I skipped off for the rest of the day to teach my nude bungee jumping lessons.

It was on the dance floor that night that I really was in my element. I had all the girls in the club dancing around me in a circle, all of them trying to convince me to go home with them.

I figured I shouldn't deprive ladies of the chance to go home with me, so I called five cabs and took them all home.

Well diary, it is noon, so I had better be getting off to work now. But I just had to write down all of this so I know how lucky I am to be me, Chevalier.

Glee, mad one test-exam and scored pretty decently on it. Eek, found out that I have another exam next week, and too little time to study for it properly.

Egh, I'm going to need the massage I was promised later today.

The hockey team I'm coaching now has a 100% win rate since I've taken them over! From not having any victories at all before, mind you. And now that Michelle is helping me coach the team we should be even better! No more loses for us!

Harbourboy, a NWN DM can do some interesting things in the game, e.g. change player appearances. And yes, NWN actually has a penguin model, it was just never used in the game. You can see it in the Toolset though.

That particular one is from ALFA's DM wand. It has a great option which can turn players into all sorts of things, as fade proved :D

Hey, has anyone else gotten the 100 MB mailbox from Yahoo! ? I logged in the other day and they upgraded it for free...my 4 MB mailbox became 100MB and my attachment limits have gone up to 10 MB per mail.

I asked my girlfriend, and some of my other friends, and they all have 4 MB boxes still...soo...does anyone else have any idea what I'm talking about?

Loads of people on some other forums have had it improved, I was under the impression that everybody's account had been raised to 100 MBs, but I can't get to the site right now, so I can't see whether I do. But it matters not, since Gmail gives you 1 gig of room, with 10 meg attachments. :D

@Faerus: Let's make it crystal clear: it's a very good thing to know who's having a crush on you. As a rule, someone always is. Perhaps a couple persons (after all, people can have crushes on multiple people at the same time as well). The problem is knowing who it is. It's difficult to learn that if you're preoccupied with a crush on someone else, though.

It's difficult to tell anyway. I can always tell if a girl is being immediately attracted to me, but can't tell if she's having something longer in time, like a crush. I often learn such things too late. It sometimes feels bad to know that probably someone's feeling the same regarding you as you're feeling regarding the person for whom you have some unreturned feelings. For a change, it would be good some day to have a crush on someone who's having a crush on you instead of having crush on someone uninterested and being uninterested in someone who's having a crush on you.

I don't know what your grandmother is like but mine is certainly not like that. Staying at grandmas means I only have my laptop - which means no internet and that I have to do all my typed homework at school (read - all of it) also means if I leave something at home I get into deep trouble. And with my memory that is bound to happen.

And always when you're about to get along with someone, some old flame or an ex appears like deus ex machina and messes everything up. In theory, I'd stick to the person who can make up her mind if I were you. I would try and learn the reasons why she had first said she didn't like me that way and in a short time said something more or less opposite to that. I would also try and learn if the other girl is only interested as if impressed by an attractive guy or if it's more personal.

Anyway, life proves that if you can't choose between two persons you had better go for a third or none at all.

BooholyYAH! Today's exam was a total nutjob, with them deciding not to question the important stuff, like neuro-anatomy and high profile syndroms, but instead deciding to milk out one silly syndrom that was mentioned once in a college for about ... 10 seconds. I had never heard of it. Still, I managed the other questions, and even scored a 67 out of 80 correct on my multiple choice! :D If I somehow still have to retake the exam, I'll go kill someone :grin:

Wednesday's exam is looking not so on the bright side, but I'll worry about that tomorrow. The rest of today is for chillin' :lol:

In my opinion, it's the best kind. The prof gave us four options for the exam: to write it in the 3 hour time period without any knowledge of what is on it beforehand, a take home exam, to get the questions in advance but no notes allowed, or to get the questions in advance, and notes allowed. The final option was the class consensus.

We're covering a year's worth of material in an 8 week course. It'd be extremely difficult to study everything from early Roman Republic (200 BCE) to Nero (68 CE) for a 3 hour exam. So that final choice made the most sense to everyone (all 12 of us) in the class.

This has to be by far the best prof at this university.
