View Full Version : Random Babbling Post #25
Beren Fri, 13th Aug '04, 7:55pm Carry on.
P.S.: @Splunge, our Canadian conspiracy continues. Have you got a copy of Canadian Bacon that I can borrow? ;)
Taza Fri, 13th Aug '04, 7:55pm I hate it when Explorer.exe crashes... >.<
I also hate when i run out of HDD space.
And when power crashes.
I can see it's friday the 13th.
And btw, first post. :D
Splunge Fri, 13th Aug '04, 7:58pm @Beren
I was getting worried there - because it's been awhile since you started a new Random Babble, I thought you might have forgotten our "mission".
And no, I don't. :p
reepnorp Fri, 13th Aug '04, 8:09pm Wow, we're already at 25 Random Babblings? It goes by so fast!
Vermillion Fri, 13th Aug '04, 8:09pm Damn if only I was quicker for a fist post.
Rallymama Fri, 13th Aug '04, 8:25pm whee, top 5 - and that after missing the last several RB's entirely...
Charles Calvera Fri, 13th Aug '04, 8:34pm Only three days of holiday left. Summer is way too short. :(
Lazy Bonzo Fri, 13th Aug '04, 9:21pm AS results in 6 days!
SleepleSS Fri, 13th Aug '04, 9:51pm Friday the 13th is a nice day, I like it :p To bad I had to work most of it, but now I'm back home drinking Hoegaarden and eating Pringles and M&M's while I listen to Kittie...
And tomorow we work again!
BigStick Fri, 13th Aug '04, 10:24pm Woot! First page! Yay-ness.
Xei Win Toh Fri, 13th Aug '04, 10:58pm Bleh, tenth for me this time. I *WILL* have that Avatar in a week tops.
Vermillion Fri, 13th Aug '04, 11:18pm I'm surprised there's only been 25 random bablings so far. Thought it would have been more by now. Ever had one of those days where no matter what you can't be motivated enough to do anything? I'm having one. Tried playing round for a bit in NWN, got bored so fast I think I got 6XP for the char and just left.
Need something to focus my mind again.
SleepleSS Fri, 13th Aug '04, 11:21pm So This was mine friday the 13th I gonna try to find some rest now! It really was a great day But in the morning a lot of work is waiting for me...
Sleep tight all of you let your dreams be filled with joy!
Vermillion Fri, 13th Aug '04, 11:29pm My 1000th post :D .
Maybe if I had stopped going offline every few months I'd have got it ages before now :p .
Dice Sat, 14th Aug '04, 12:18am It's good to be home to relax from my holiday. Today I'm making some healing balm out of calandula flowers and other secret ingredients. It is now in the process of sitting for 24 hours until I can heat it again and strain it for my final product. It's always so much faster when you do it in computer games.
I also went to a company that builds giant commercial sculptures out of styrofoam and asked if they could give me some scraps. Now I definately have enough to make something interesting with. I'll take a picture of it when its finished and post it in SPMP if it turns out nice.
Aikanaro Sat, 14th Aug '04, 6:26am Wow - so few posts this time celebrating how quickly they posted - and no one's killed Beren yet for taking over...
Weird.
Harbourboy Sat, 14th Aug '04, 6:38am Maybe everyone is busy.
Spellbound Sat, 14th Aug '04, 6:48am I just got off a plane, but I feel like I'm still in it. ZZZZZZZZZ
Aikanaro Sat, 14th Aug '04, 11:11am Ragh! Hyperacivity except not really!
I'm sure some roleplaying goodness would solve the problem, but - well - Damn you Lokken!
Sarevok• Sat, 14th Aug '04, 1:39pm I am off on holiday for a week at last ciao!
chevalier Sat, 14th Aug '04, 3:07pm Two days remain till I go on holiday. The bad thing is that exam a week after I come back.
SleepleSS Sat, 14th Aug '04, 6:13pm Weekend! I've got beer I've got wine, and maybe I even go out tonight! (Depending on my Bank stats!).
Anyway this will be a night to relax and watch the world go bye...I hope! It's still early!
Shrikant Sat, 14th Aug '04, 9:23pm Beat my cousins in bowling today. Pretty sad scores tho.
Then I had to buy them Ice-cream. Oh well!
EDIT:
Woooooot!!
New gem :)
SleepleSS Sat, 14th Aug '04, 9:27pm Wow I have Kittie Playing Below and My Ruin up here! It sounds awsome! There is also a nice girl comming this way to go out whit me and a friend of mine! Coolywooly!
I told you this was gonna be a night to remember! Happy allready!
chevalier Sun, 15th Aug '04, 12:26am There is also a nice girl comming this way to go out whit me and a friend of mine! One girl for two? Still better than nothing :shake:
Waitasec, have I just laughed?
/me resumes going through his collection of photos as a depressing reminder of things that could have been done better
Midwinter Sun, 15th Aug '04, 1:09am Playing Ultima 7 while various Alice Cooper songs are playing through your mind is an odd thing...
Dice Sun, 15th Aug '04, 1:39am Everything is odd. Life is odd. The impossibility of every moment means almost anything is possible under the right circumstances. The most "average" looking person might have the most bizarre life hidden within. Why should anything be strange?
Midwinter Sun, 15th Aug '04, 2:12am You ever find everything becomes so much clearer, so much more *exciting* after midnight?
Dark Haired Beauty Sun, 15th Aug '04, 2:20am A human being is at very best, an assembly of chemicals constructed and maintained in a state of fantastically complicated organization of quite unimaginable improbability.
Life is facinating! Go grab some!
Midwinter Sun, 15th Aug '04, 3:09am DHB - that's being hideously scientific! Abolish such thoughts immedaitely and let yourself go with the heady flow of creativity! What's unimaginable largely depends on the scope of one's imagination...
Life is surely at its most fascinating when creativity is allowed to flow!
fade Sun, 15th Aug '04, 7:26am Weekends are wonderful, even though I spent most of the day trying unsuccessfully to start the engine of my RC plane. Got it going twice, in around 4 hours of trying. Bleh.
*edit*
500th post ;)
SleepleSS Sun, 15th Aug '04, 8:31am @Chev one girl 3 gfuys and still A lot of fun this was good! I never slept like this in a year and not even with the girl although she was sittin on the cough (SP?) I was sleeping on :)
chevalier Sun, 15th Aug '04, 11:22am Oh well... One for three...
/me has some experience picking up the only female before the other guys
For some reason, I still prefer peer to peer connections, I mean, one to one dates.
Jaguar Sun, 15th Aug '04, 11:29am /me tiptoes around
/me tiptoes around some more
/me staples Splunges beard to chev's computer
/me tiptoes away
Vermillion Sun, 15th Aug '04, 12:23pm The only good thing about having a terrible morning is that the day can only get better. At least I hope it does. :(
Splunge Sun, 15th Aug '04, 5:04pm All right! Who the hell stapled my beard to chev's computer?!? :grr:
Wordplay Sun, 15th Aug '04, 5:37pm Probably the same person who is now displaying your pants in the market.
Hugo Sun, 15th Aug '04, 8:03pm Back again, 301st post, and a weekend away with some friends - had FUN FUN FUN!
Now however I am home again, and getting ready for my last week of school holiday (damn I could do with *another* two months to recuperating from this week).
Hmm I hate having to go back to school, but I'll see so many friends again... and I'll still have sp... but so much other stuff that'll have to be done...
Hmm this post is becoming way too long for the RB thread.
:borg:
EDIT: Well did I EVER! I messed up my borg smiley! Shame shame shame! I will have to sacrifice someone to the spirits of SP A M to compensate.
/me brings Lord Tal dendri's steaming heart on a silver plate

Dendri Sun, 15th Aug '04, 8:28pm A certain bald man of the woods is about to catch up with my post count!
So. I will better state my joy of Jags prank and wonder of Splungemeisters enormous rage. :D
There.
SleepleSS Sun, 15th Aug '04, 9:18pm @Chev well it wasn't actually a date just 4 people having fun!
LOL :D are there still hairs from Splunges beard on your pc?
Dice Sun, 15th Aug '04, 10:42pm Well, the healing balm I made turned out well but it smells kinda funny.
Splunge, don't worry about the beard, it'll grow back...if you have a few pulled hairs I'd be happy to send you some of my special healing balm....
SleepleSS Sun, 15th Aug '04, 10:47pm Neither funny nor appropriate.

Harbourboy Sun, 15th Aug '04, 11:11pm Yum, raisins.
Dice Mon, 16th Aug '04, 1:26am Raisins have a lot of iron in them. They also taste good dipped in chocolate.
SleepleSS Mon, 16th Aug '04, 1:52am Damh! My post has gone :( It was FUNNY! Check out the special edition of House of 100 corpses if you want to know what it was.. I stop now before I get angry!
Vermillion Mon, 16th Aug '04, 3:06am /me whistles Always look on the bright side of life
Splunge Mon, 16th Aug '04, 4:30am Probably the same person who is now displaying your pants in the market Ah, that would explain why I felt more of a breeze in, um, a certain part of my anatomy than usual.
And Dragonfly, thanks for the offer, but I'm a rough-and-tumble, feel-no-pain, brave, um, err, accountant...OK, better send me some of that healing balm. :D
Jaguar Mon, 16th Aug '04, 5:17am Hey guys...
What? I didn't do anything...
Look! An EAGLE!!!!
/me flees to North Harbour to chill in Harbourboy's house
SleepleSS Mon, 16th Aug '04, 5:20am Total Block... Requem for a dream Blowed my mind away! Love that movie gonna buy it tomorow I think!
Harbourboy Mon, 16th Aug '04, 6:37am No posts on the BoM for an hour now. Maybe it's the Apocalypse.
Hey, what's Jaguar doing at my house?
Aldazar Mon, 16th Aug '04, 9:27am I think the sky's falling, some guy just walked in with what looks like a rain cloud around his head.
Wordplay Mon, 16th Aug '04, 1:16pm Poor fellow; he must have one, helluva big headache after having the whole sky falling on his head. :shake:
reepnorp Mon, 16th Aug '04, 3:54pm My brothers computer is messed up now and he blames me. :(
Hugo Mon, 16th Aug '04, 4:03pm Watching The Last Emperor (by bertolucci) tonight but I'm afraid it'll suck.
Stupid history assignments... I procrastinated this for almost 6 months but I'm afraid it's crunch time now - wish me luck all.
:borg:
@Dendri: I'll get you yet, my S P A M will overwhelm you. :p
SleepleSS Mon, 16th Aug '04, 8:49pm I finally own Zombies!!!4! Let the nightmare begin!
I wish they made an Alice boardgame that would be so cool!
Xei Win Toh Mon, 16th Aug '04, 11:00pm 600th post. And what better way to celebrate than showing off my new androgynous avatar?
Dice Tue, 17th Aug '04, 1:58am Congrats on the new avatar Xei
Dendri Tue, 17th Aug '04, 2:21am @Big Bald Ranger
Dont you wish. :D The last one bites the dust. (probably me)
Malovae Tue, 17th Aug '04, 2:44am Argghhh, my knee feels strange.
Splunge Tue, 17th Aug '04, 3:07am /me finally tracks Jaguar down and teaches him a "lesson"
Harbourboy, if you get on them quickly, those blood stains should come out quite easily.
ejsmith Tue, 17th Aug '04, 3:49am `Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
`BEWARE THE JABBERWOCK, MY SON!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!'
Harbourboy Tue, 17th Aug '04, 4:26am And what exactly does 'frumious' mean?
Aldazar Tue, 17th Aug '04, 4:55am Saw a guy busking this morning, playing a kick@ss blues-type version of Hendrix's Foxy Lady - completely changed the rhythm and all but in a good way. Made me wish I had a bit of money I could give him. Either that or more time to sit and listen.
Stefanina Tue, 17th Aug '04, 6:26am Well, after spending Friday as taxi service evacuating several friends, hurricane Charley decided to take a Disney vacation instead... :D
Overall, a relief for my town, and yet a bit dissappointing... I guess there was no release from the adrenaline buildup...
Harbourboy Tue, 17th Aug '04, 6:56am You mad person. How can you be disappointed about missing the Hurricane? That's like those nutters who go down to the seaside to watch a tsunami. Watch it on TV like me.
Stefanina Tue, 17th Aug '04, 7:15am No, not really. Think about it. I spent nearly two days tearing my hair out to make sure my house, pets, and friends would be as safe as humanly possible. That causes a huge adrenaline buildup. Then nothing happens, so there's no release of that adrenaline.
It's a fairly common reaction, so I'm not really sweating it. Trust me, I am grateful that I didn't get flattened in the end.
Jaguar Tue, 17th Aug '04, 7:15am /me does the dance of ever-lasting monkey shine
Everybody, join in and do it!
Harbourboy Tue, 17th Aug '04, 7:21am I don't know the steps.
Jaguar Tue, 17th Aug '04, 9:59am Nobody does! That's the point.
/me starts with a two step jig to the left...
BigStick Tue, 17th Aug '04, 2:33pm @Stephania - That's great for you, but for those who live in or near the actual path, there is still a lot of work to be done. Last time I was able to check in with my family down there, they still had no power and my father had no phone service. At least they have water. My stepmother's parents were trapped in their home due to large old trees coming down blocking all the roads. It took a 15-minute walk to get to their home from the nearest passable street, which is further than they could walk.
And this is all far inland where Charley had dropped from intensity 4 down to 2.
I've heard that they expect that full power restoration will take weeks.
I'd take the adrenaline build up, anyday. :)
Arabwel Tue, 17th Aug '04, 3:18pm Had a horrible, horriblwe morni ng... i thought Jenova had died!
Here I am, waking aound 2 pm, and something is not right. THen, i realize what it is.
The computer wasn't on.
ow, I recall leaving it on most definitely when i got to sleep, so I was more than a little scared. Power out? A sudden breakdown?
Tried to turn it on. Nothing happens.
GO check if it's plugged in. It is, and the monitor light is blinking.
Time to panic.
So, for half an hour I frantically did my best to get the damned thing to work, re-attaching wires, flicking switches and swearing.... and finally, when she once again began to hum... I was overjoyed.
Not even a scrambled windows, see me happy.
I so need a proper desk to sit Jen on, not some stupid ramndom rickety thing on wheels that I had mmanaged to kick during the night so bad that the wires were all loosened :(
BigStick Tue, 17th Aug '04, 3:29pm I like this (http://www.sauder.com/furniture/product.asp?p=252) one. :)
Faraaz Tue, 17th Aug '04, 3:53pm I hate biology. It's icky, it's boring, and its got heaps and heaps of drawing in it, which I hate. DOWN WITH BIOLOGY!! :flaming: :flaming:
SleepleSS Tue, 17th Aug '04, 4:10pm @ ejsmith
Jabberwocky! Lewis Caroll rules!
I go do some shopping in a few minutes now...
Arabwel Tue, 17th Aug '04, 4:10pm Biplogy schmiology.
I'vew been playing a game called "Real lives" which is... streange. It's all about living lives of normal people ont he globe, but you only get pretty minimal control over whatyou do.
it's still addictive, though. :/
Laiwethel Tue, 17th Aug '04, 4:51pm Argh! My Internet has been completely down for over a week now, and I don't know what went wrong. I am currently in one of the comupter labs at uni, and am less than amused.
I hate technology sometimes.
Splunge Tue, 17th Aug '04, 10:23pm Oh freddled gruntbuggly thy micturations are to me
As plurdled gabbleblotchits on a lurgid bee.
Groop I implore thee my foonting turlingdromes.
And hooptiously drangle me with crinkly bindlewurdles,
Or I will rend thee in the gobberwarts with my blurglecruncheon,
see if I don't!
Taluntain Tue, 17th Aug '04, 11:41pm Actually I quite liked it. :alien:
Hugo Wed, 18th Aug '04, 1:34am Bah!
All biology teachers should have their toes roasted over a low fire, and have ferocious S P A M vampsters knibble on their ears and noses, the vile and foul wretches!
Am I glad I didn't pick it - the higher level biology teachers (trained to teach higher grades) are all real wierdo's.
The kind that wear shorts, high socks, and sandals, at the same time, possibly with ear warmers if they have cold ears.
Oh and btw Xei Win Toh your new avatar is coolios and Dendri: shiver and shudder, pathetic wretch - my S P A M will have the effect of casting Polymorph: Steaming pile of cow dung on your brain :p :D .
Ach, never you mind me
:borg:
Dendri Wed, 18th Aug '04, 2:09am Pathetic... wretch?? *cough*
Scandalous. Quite scandalous. Nonetheless, you are almost there. :(
Harbourboy Wed, 18th Aug '04, 3:19am Hmm, it's a bit of a quiet time on the Boards right now . . . .
Splunge Wed, 18th Aug '04, 3:39am ... not any more! :p
@ Tal - yep, nothing like some Vogon poetry to stir the soul. :xx: :borg:
Stefanina Wed, 18th Aug '04, 5:24am Tonight I happened to be witness to a transformer getting hit by lightning. It was showering bright blue sparks all around my truck. I just kinda sat there cowering and called 911. When I could finally move again (which was tricky since all the traffic lights had gotten zapped), I had to navigate many fallen branches/small trees. Guess I should be grateful there weren't any large trees down.
Gotta love Florida thunderstorms.
Harbourboy Wed, 18th Aug '04, 5:31am A Transformer? Which one? I hope it wasn't one of the Constructicons.... Maybe it was Megatron.
Aldazar Wed, 18th Aug '04, 6:01am Persdonally, I hope it was a Transformer for the new shows, not one of the real originals. Maybe Galvatron.
Actually, I heard on the news this morning that 2 people in Melbourne (IIRC) were seriously injured in a lightning strike.
Stefanina Wed, 18th Aug '04, 6:21am Not surprised. Florida is the lightning capital of the world. Not the first time I've had a close call. It's normal in the summertime. Even everyday thunderstorms can get a bit wild.
Aldazar Wed, 18th Aug '04, 6:29am Then there was the Darwin Award from a couple of years back about the guy and his girlfriend 'getting busy' on top of a hill during a thunderstorm, and the cop who was driving a brand new patrol car somewhere in outback Australia during a thunderstorm and was struck, the car was badly damaged and had all four tyres blown but he survived.
Stefanina Wed, 18th Aug '04, 7:04am I'll find out tomorrow if my truck was damaged. The tires made it home, however.
The storm blew up after I arrived at the restaurant for dinner. *shrugs* Normal for this place, if you tried to plan your life around thunderstorms, you'd never be able to leave your house!
Arabwel Wed, 18th Aug '04, 9:18am Don't diss the Vogons.
We bite :p
It is a sad fact that my recitals of Tolkien's poetry have earned me the nickname "Vogoni" and the pleasure of having rocks and tin cans thrown at me....
Then again, am estatic: signed the broadband conbtact today. In 2 weeks or so, I should be a continuopus presence here...,. expect a serious rise in my post vcount
Jaguar Wed, 18th Aug '04, 12:20pm Now really, was there any reason to de-pin the mod lists from the BG forums. I still needed those! Grrr... :grr:
Splunge Wed, 18th Aug '04, 3:01pm *taps Jag on shoulder*
http://www.sorcerers.net/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi/forum/15.html?
First one on the list (and it's pinned).
*cuffs Jag upside the head*
:p
reepnorp Wed, 18th Aug '04, 3:43pm Goin' to the country, gonna eat me alot of peaches, I'm going to the country, gonna eat me alot of peaches...
Such a stupid song.
Dendri Wed, 18th Aug '04, 4:08pm Where is Sarevok Anchev?
I sort of miss his laconic presence. :p
Hugo Wed, 18th Aug '04, 4:10pm Dendri: what's wrong with calling someone a pathetic wretch?
And you know I'm gonna keep crawling in...
"And when you turn your back
I will attack!"
/Iron Maiden
:borg:
Xei Win Toh Wed, 18th Aug '04, 4:16pm Blech, school starts on monday, but my b-day's on tuesday.
Dendri Wed, 18th Aug '04, 4:29pm @Baldy
Nothings wrong with dat, vicious one. On the contrary, its:
"Fe fi fo fun for me"
Moloko
For now.
But give back that steaming heart of mine. Tal has no use for it. He may keep the silver plate though. ;)
Midwinter Wed, 18th Aug '04, 8:36pm My 2-ton room spider Goliath has vanished. However, Golgotha, a new (and considerably smaller but more vicious-looking) spider has taken up residence. We've agreed not to kill each other.
Say 'birthday' aloud. Now say 'b-day' aloud. Surprises most people.
Jaguar Wed, 18th Aug '04, 9:06pm Ow Splunge, be careful. I'm sensitive.
/me rubs the back of his head
But thanks though.
SleepleSS Wed, 18th Aug '04, 9:28pm I'm a bit sad today :( This day just didn't turn out the way I would hope it did...
And then my parents called that they came home earloer :( :( :(
This days cost me to much money I've bought 4 cd's to cheer me up!
But it didn't help that much although the Muppets brought a smile on my face :p
Wordplay Wed, 18th Aug '04, 10:44pm Where is Sarevok Anchev?Maybe in the same place as Rallymama, Extremist, Mathetais... or Tobias?
Lazy Bonzo Wed, 18th Aug '04, 11:35pm That couldn't have been a Darwin award since they can only be given posthumously; and since no one died it's not applicable (though it may have been on the Darwin award site since they have a section of almost Darwins).
Morgoth Thu, 19th Aug '04, 12:33am Just back from shopping and here is my new comp:
- Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz with 1 mb cache
- 200 Gb harddisk, (my partition magic app had some problems recognising the disk, increasing its size with 10, so I had a 2 Tera HDD  )
- 2 Gig of RAM(buying 4 sets of 512MB is definitely cheaper than 2 sets of 1Gb)
A new mainboard, new PSU, new case (all black and shiny), 6 fans!!! (the thing is almost lifting up and flying home..)
And I just wanted to buy a new keyboard, because my cat puked over my old one  .
ejsmith Thu, 19th Aug '04, 2:12am Oh, my. What are you going to do with 2gig, Morgoth? And what kind of video card did you slap in there?
In other news:
----------------
Minsc: OHH! Squirrels, Boo! I know I saw them! QUICK, THROW NUTS!!
Valygar: Minsc? Something about you concerns me...
Jaheria: Minsc, could you PLEASE maintain a little grace while in Nature's presence? Sometimes, I simply do not know how you came by your title of "Ranger".
---------
Jan: Ahhhhhhh. Home sweet Home. Wait......I don't live here.
------------
Jan: BEWARE! Your knees are MINE!
----------
Edwin: I feel your stares! DIE! DIE!
--------
Edwin: Ha! FEAR ME!
Hugo Thu, 19th Aug '04, 3:04am Dendri: you make no sense whatsoever to me right now...
Oh well, sense is for wimps anyways :p
Humtydum, it's 3AM and I'm listening to Iron Maiden and having a nice chat in the FAI - life is good
School starts on coming monday for me as well though :(
:borg:
Aldazar Thu, 19th Aug '04, 4:47am Not everything that counts can be counted, not everything that can be counted counts.
Does that mean that I can be counted and therefore don't count? Or that I can be counted and therefore I count? OR, can I not be counted, therefore not counting?
Maybe I'm just running round in circles, and therefore look like a twit.
Stefanina Thu, 19th Aug '04, 6:23am Well, no major damage to my vehicle, although there are a couple tiny bubbles in the paint job. Shop said they could sand & touch up fairly cheaply. That's a small relief.
Of course, today I was driving home on flooded out roads. I'm beginning to think that I should not be out of my house past 6pm right now...

Malovae Thu, 19th Aug '04, 10:27am Woooohooooo, I got accepted to university on the spot :D :D :D
Rotku Thu, 19th Aug '04, 11:42am I just posted my first post in about a month :)
And to make matters even better, next week I'm away on a hockey tournament :D
Alavin Thu, 19th Aug '04, 12:11pm Got exam results. Did badly. :(
I hope resits can save me...
Fortunately these were AS levels - only worth half the main grade.
I'll be retaking 6 modules probably, which really sucks.
Arabwel Thu, 19th Aug '04, 2:09pm I just gort meself a new keyboard and a mouse, since the last ones were salvaged from my very first PC (That i got used around 1992....) but now...
I realize that I cannot use a keyboard "normally"; I've become dependant of the weirdness that was the old board... and I seem to be unable to remember the existence of the mouse :/
I am Soooooo good... :p
Enagonios Thu, 19th Aug '04, 2:34pm i hate school. all the readin, writin and 'rithmetic...
but I scored highest in the class on my Environmental Biology class :/ (82/100 not that great either). Argh, philosophy and accounting this tues and my research paper sooner than that :o
Arabwel Thu, 19th Aug '04, 4:43pm Hmm, strange, I have nothing to say... .too bad.
reepnorp Thu, 19th Aug '04, 4:48pm I really should practice my drums more often, but when I don't even have them all it's kind of hard.
Dark Haired Beauty Thu, 19th Aug '04, 5:02pm Went to play paintball war with the other university cheerleaders for charity yesterday. During the break between games some little weasel came up less than five feet from me and shot me in the temple just as I was taking my head gear off. Knocked me out completly! Still have ringing in my ears. Probably a good thing I was knocked out or i would of probably been facing homicide charges right now.
Note: Wonder if he will get a boy scout badge for that shot?
Enagonios Thu, 19th Aug '04, 6:11pm @DHB
by "some little weasel" i figure you're referring to another cheerleader? hehe cheap shot.
Dark Haired Beauty Thu, 19th Aug '04, 7:34pm Actually he was a cub scout.
Dice Thu, 19th Aug '04, 7:45pm Do you remember his face? You could probably hire a team of brownies for the price of a couple of cases of guide-cookies, to take care of him. hehe
SleepleSS Thu, 19th Aug '04, 11:49pm Happy yet a little bit sad...
Today I again met the girl I like :) We finally had a real conversation and I found out 2 things!
1, Her E-mail, so that's a good thing!
2, She has a Boyfriend, hmmm that's not that good...
Anyway I see her tomorow for the last time for a long while so I'm glad I can E-mail her now!
Aldazar Fri, 20th Aug '04, 4:52am I used to be a cub scout. Fun days terrorizing local brownie gruops.
Dice Fri, 20th Aug '04, 6:49am Sleepless, some relationships are not strong ties. Friendship is often stronger. So if she has a boyfriend just enjoy her as a good friend. Who knows what might happen later.
Jaguar Fri, 20th Aug '04, 10:46am My little bro was a Beaver (AKA Junior Cub Scout) but he dropped it.
I never was. I had my games and they're all I need.
/me starts rocking back and forth repeatedly muttering 'All I need, all I need..."
Apeman Fri, 20th Aug '04, 11:23am I'm getting old, I just turned 22 today so I'm off celebrating........not so much. I'm not even a big birthday fan, just an ordinary day for me.
Xei Win Toh Fri, 20th Aug '04, 11:44am There's a blue dragon on my wall.
Arabwel Fri, 20th Aug '04, 12:38pm *huggles Apeman*
Congrats, being old is such fun :p
I am feeling anceiet, on some days, and I'm barely legal.
I am also extremely PO'd at the moment. I hink I might even´turn it into an alley topic, if no one else has thus far.
Colthrun Fri, 20th Aug '04, 1:39pm I feel homesick today... I opened the fridge this morning and it was SO empty, like in my university days... just a dodgy-looking piece of meat and a smelly carton of milk. Suddenly, I missed my parent's kitchen, with that huge fridge always full of good stuff... :(
First thing I'll do when visiting my parents again will be to give their fridge a hug.
Dark Haired Beauty Fri, 20th Aug '04, 1:45pm Happy Birthday Apeman. Your not getting old...just remember life begins at 40...if your a redwood tree ;)
Hugo Fri, 20th Aug '04, 5:45pm @DHB: lol:
Hmm this is odd, no posts in RB for hours now.
Why can't our RP people show themselves in the FAI. it pisses me off.
Well if I'm AFK when you do make it, and have to leave before I get back *please* drop me a query stating when you'll be back.
Dinner soon, and school again in three days, I'll be online *much* less as my grades (although sufficient) are dubious and they *really* want me to do well this year.
Ah well, nine months and I'll be out of that ****, and out of this ****hole.
:borg:
EDIT: looks like I made equal with ya dendri :p
And still going strong...
Nakia Fri, 20th Aug '04, 5:46pm Happy Birthday, Apeman. Have fun.
Uytuun Fri, 20th Aug '04, 7:17pm Weehoo! I found out my "kotmadam" (the lady that keeps the room I'll be living in in a month or so) did install broadband after all. :D
Constant Internet access and noone to tell me when to get off. And when I feel lonely there will always be my SP pals...life is good sometimes. :D
Takara Fri, 20th Aug '04, 8:58pm Not bad at all Uytuun. Getting bb installed is a real marathon when it comes to testing your patience.
Uytuun Fri, 20th Aug '04, 9:48pm I know... I really didn't expect it to go so smoothly. I already made two people that live nearby promise to let me use their internet access. Addicted I guess.
SleepleSS Fri, 20th Aug '04, 9:58pm @ Apeman-->Happy Birthday
@Dragonfly --> Yes I know, and I can really use a friend right now she this could be a real good thing!
I''m a bit tired had a long day at work Goodluck there is Beer music and Internet here at home, Relexing with Warsteiner Orange and Rob Zombie!
And tomorow we work some more....
...Submarine?
reepnorp Fri, 20th Aug '04, 11:03pm I just pulled an all-nighter, credited mostly to the 7 cans of pop. I was sooo wired!
Alavin Fri, 20th Aug '04, 11:24pm I have a big spot on my nose! :aaa: :wail: I'm hideous!
Apeman Fri, 20th Aug '04, 11:31pm Thanks all, almost over now. Just had a nice BBQ, biggest sirloin I've ever seen :)
Dice Sat, 21st Aug '04, 12:08am We just went for donairs for lunch. It hard to imagine that we've been living close to this donair place for about four years and we tried it for the first time yesterday and it was actually a really good donair restaurant!
Midwinter Sat, 21st Aug '04, 2:20am Today, my computer had it in for me. I have no idea why. It just doesn't want to work properly for me.
Dice Sat, 21st Aug '04, 3:29am Tonight I'm going to forsake my computer for a few hours and travel down to the basement to work on my huge painting that has sat stagnant for more months than I care to mention. I just wish that I had a really long speaker wires so I could play some internet station music while I paint. The local radio stations don't really have a lot to offer.
Jaguar Sat, 21st Aug '04, 8:32am You know, there are those days when I wake up and realize that someday I'm not going to wake up at all.
Then I laugh at the thought of whatever poor afterlife has to deal with me.
Dice Sat, 21st Aug '04, 8:49am Yah, hopefully there is one. I think about death too often for a healthy person. It makes me sad that everything will just keep going when I end. There are billions of people I don't know and each one is a universe in themselves. We all weave in the tapistry, some threads, some yarn, some cord, some rope, and held together with a drop of saliva.
Jaguar Sat, 21st Aug '04, 10:31am Spit? Life all boils down to spit? I don't get it.
Midwinter Sat, 21st Aug '04, 10:21pm Chips. I love them.
Spit is a necessity. Try eating three cream crackers in 30 seconds.
Jaguar Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 11:16am Woah, one post since I was here over 24 hours ago?
Oh no! Have other SPer's gotten lives? Is it contagious?!?
Hugo Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 11:27am Jaguar: say it isn't so! :nolike:
Hmmm sunday now, back on school on monday, classes again on tuesday...
Farewell holiday, I'll miss you.
Then again vacation tastes sweetest in the face of imminent school.
:borg:
Aikanaro Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 12:11pm Massacre in the chatroom! Wahheee!
Deathmage Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 12:29pm I hate Mondays.
Xei Win Toh Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 12:31pm Gah! But... But... Me no wanna go back to school tomorrow!
SleepleSS Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 1:36pm Tomorow I must go to my work on my day off, just to check if everything ended up well with the order I made, and to look if we must order salads and Filet american for Tuesday...
But then I have a week of, and then it's back to school!
Go ride through the country by train this week, See the coolest places of Holland guided by beer and on a quest for a few hard to get cd's!
Hugo Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 2:57pm Sleepless - LOL dude you're in for *pain* PAIN I TELL YOU...
Aikanaro - god I how can I have missed :'(
:borg:
This is a boring day - posted too much in too little
Dice Sun, 22nd Aug '04, 9:13pm Tomorrow is my last day of vacation before I go back to work. So many things to do tomorrow and I have to hold my breath hoping a cheque will come in the mail.
I painted for about four hours last night and at last my painting is becoming. I just have to decide what to do with the lower left-hand corner. What is there now does not make sense visually, logically, or spiritually. Maybe I'll go paint again now.
Dark Haired Beauty Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 2:18am The cure for boredom is curiosity. ;)
Malovae Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 3:16am ...Which subsequently kills cats.
Rednik Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 4:16am But it invigorates Curious George, so it's win-win.
Harbourboy Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 4:20am Cool. Curious George. Now there's a good idea for 'Name that TV Show'.
Ooops, can't use it now though. Damn. Or maybe I will anyway..........
Arabwel Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 12:40pm Hmm, I think I am getting addicted to naming my characters in utterly stupid ways.... then again, I just am insane.
Gah.
A bad day since I can't even properly babble...

Sir Belisarius Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 4:31pm Yes! I have arrived!!! I can't believe I've posted 3506 times!!! Well, now 3507...But still - It's shocking!!!
Dark Haired Beauty Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 5:04pm I practiced doing backflips off the top of the cheerleading pyramid today! Anyone care to take bets on how many times i do it before I land wrong and get hurt.
Xei Win Toh Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 5:11pm @DHB: One? :p
I'm really divided in my opinion of my new school. Part of me says it's gonna be great, another part it's gonna be hell. More I dare not say.
SleepleSS Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 6:16pm @DHB I give you 2 times :p !
@Big Bald Ranger: I like pain I guess :D
Today I was In Nijmegen and bought the Munckin Blender :p LOL.
Tomorow it will probably be Amsterdam since I wanna shop for cd's at Fame! and want to go for some Beers...
Jaguar Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 10:47pm Psst. The monkeys are parachuting with Splunge's underwear. Pass it on. ;)
Shrikant Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 11:15pm Started playing GTA: Vice City.
Yeah, yeah!
I know its an old game but I cant afford new ones.
Damn fun game.
I like killing innocents :shake:
:borg:
Midwinter Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 11:16pm Eh?
Dice Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 11:16pm ok Jaguar ... The monks are shooting at Splunge's underware....pass it on
Splunge Mon, 23rd Aug '04, 11:38pm Y'know, if my underwear is going to be used for a parachute or target practise, I wish they'd at least wait until I'm not wearing it. :almostmad:
Dark Haired Beauty Tue, 24th Aug '04, 2:33am Why does Splunge's underwear resemble the Canadian Flag.
Aldazar Tue, 24th Aug '04, 5:20am I've now been out to the pub two Friday nights in a row and definitely getting back into the rhythm of it. Shame about the no-sleeping until the following night though. Makes me tired all week now that I'm getting old
Harbourboy Tue, 24th Aug '04, 5:24am Yeah, get back on that horse, Aldazar.
Jaguar Tue, 24th Aug '04, 11:10am Just remember. The best way to pick up chicks is to slide up too the bar, buy them a drink, tell them about your extensive knife, sword and gun collection, and then ask them where they live.
Arabwel Tue, 24th Aug '04, 2:39pm *cackle* Does thaqt work on guys, too? :p
Hmm, I so hate the fact that I dseverely lack duns in my collection.... maybe I could "persuade" my uncle to sellö me some? Aftert all, he sleeps with a shotgun under his bed.
Don't ask. Just... don't.
Sleeping seems to be necessary, unfortunately, so I just need to get more caffeine. :p
Splunge Tue, 24th Aug '04, 3:18pm Well, Ara, I have to ask:
1. When you said "dseverely ", is that a cross between "deservedly" and "severely"?
2. What is a "dun"?
3. What does "sello" mean?
Gah, my brain hurts. :p
Hugo Tue, 24th Aug '04, 3:46pm Bah, today is boring.
Mathematics will be a pain this year as it's excessively complicated.
And I'm getting a Latin OD and then it's only the first day at school since the holidays...
:borg:
BigStick Tue, 24th Aug '04, 4:16pm Now I remember why I am sooo glad that I am out of school. Sitting in class can be boring!
Just started day 2 of a 3-day class. Already getting sleepy.
Dark Haired Beauty Tue, 24th Aug '04, 4:24pm What girl could resist a guy with an extensive knife, sword, and gun collection. Probably why Elmer Fudd never had a date. ;)
Arabwel Tue, 24th Aug '04, 5:40pm If I might note, i severely lack good eyesight, decent keyboard and any typing skills whatsoever...
Severely, guns, and sell, respectively... what can i say, I need new glasses, snmaller hands and professional help :p
Enagonios Tue, 24th Aug '04, 5:50pm i hope i did well in my accounting finals earlier.
i hope i do well in my philosophy finals on thursday.
i hope my friends and i go out this weekend and get wasted.
so many hopes... hehe.
JSBB Tue, 24th Aug '04, 6:42pm Sigh, things are looking pretty bad around my office. I have had my doubts about the long term survivability of the firm for a couple of years now - It was obvious seeing our aging client base die/retire and close/sell their businesses with little replacement from newer/younger clients, but I really didn't think that the erosion of our client base would become so obvious this quickly.
The workload has been pretty light all year, I barely had anything to do before I left on vacation, and after coming back from three weeks off I find that there still isn't any work that needs doing. I am starting to think that it is probably a good idea to think about bringing my resume up to date.
8people Tue, 24th Aug '04, 7:37pm I have to wear glasses...
They feel so weird :aww:
luckily I only have to wear them for looking into distance or reading something away from me. Meaning I'll have to wear them at school :sosad:
Takara Tue, 24th Aug '04, 7:55pm I had to wear glasses at school. You'll get used to it eventually.
BigStick Tue, 24th Aug '04, 7:59pm I've been wearing glasses or contact lenses for 30+ years. It's not a big deal, but it does take some time to adjust.
The Kilted Crusader Tue, 24th Aug '04, 7:59pm I wear contacts now, I prefer them far more than glasses.

Sir Belisarius Tue, 24th Aug '04, 8:16pm All you people are ruining our gene pool!!!!! Back in the day, people with poor eyesight would walk off cliffs, get eaten by passing beasts, etc...Now you're all living to old age...And procreating!!!!!
Uytuun Tue, 24th Aug '04, 8:18pm I've had contacts for half a year now and I must say that I, too, prefer them over glasses.
Jaguar Tue, 24th Aug '04, 9:22pm I too wear contacts. Glasses when I am not doing anything, but contacts when I go out and such.
Just gotta show off my baby blues.
Splunge Tue, 24th Aug '04, 9:26pm @ JSBB - given the situation, it's definitely time to do your resume, before you find yourself in a position where you have to do it. ;)
I've worn glasses since I was around 9 or 10. I tried contacts in my early twenties, but I couldn't wear them for a full work day; it got to be a pain in the butt changing to glasses at around 4:00, so I just stopped wearing the contacts, and went back to glasses.
Jaguar Tue, 24th Aug '04, 9:37pm Are they bifocals by chance? :hahaerr:
Harbourboy Tue, 24th Aug '04, 9:39pm JSBB - why don't you get off your butt and go and look for some NEW clients (if your old ones are dying)? Go rustle up some new business!
Xei Win Toh Tue, 24th Aug '04, 10:37pm Ho-hum, guess I'm not important enough to have my birthday noted.
Harbourboy Tue, 24th Aug '04, 10:41pm Well, it was noted by one person. You. And that's more than some people can say, so you should be thankful for that.
Splunge Tue, 24th Aug '04, 10:42pm Well, you might be important enough if it was your birthday. *checks profile* Hey! Happy birthday! :D
Are they bifocals by chance? No, but they're pretty thick.
JSBB Tue, 24th Aug '04, 10:58pm JSBB - why don't you get off your butt and go and look for some NEW clients (if your old ones are dying)? Go rustle up some new business! I wish it were that easy. Most people who start a business will just go to the acountant that a relative or acquaintance uses. That pretty well means that family members/friends of existing clients are a small firm's source of new clients. I could run around town to every social event that I could think of but the odds of attracting any significant business would be negligible.
Harbourboy Tue, 24th Aug '04, 11:02pm Find yourself some more friends and relatives then!
Deathmage Wed, 25th Aug '04, 12:30am For once I'm not tired when I go to school! Amazing!
Side note: I still hate Mondays. And Tuesdays. And Wednesdays. And Thursdays. And most of Fridays.
Harbourboy Wed, 25th Aug '04, 12:32am Deathmage - is it another late start at school today? Huh, kids these days.....they don't know they're born.
Sarevok• Wed, 25th Aug '04, 12:34am Go and do something after school like sports or pool or anything so it is like you have something to look forward to in the day then the day doesn't seem so bad. It worked for me when I went to school.
Kelvon Shadowmane Wed, 25th Aug '04, 2:44am May I explain to all of that every little babble you spit out of your little bone-box just simply increases the number of posts on this topic?
But that's the most extraordanary thing that can happen! Cheers for the growing number of posts!

SleepleSS Wed, 25th Aug '04, 8:35pm So back from Utrecht Bought a dark expansion for my once upon a Time game, the box was talking about trolls but there still isn't a troll inside!
I finnally saw the Tiny F*cked a stump scene and I must say I kinda liked it!
Yesterday I've been in Amsterdam drinking beer in the rain and bought a Halloween cd! With OA Rob Zombie and The Ghastly Ones!
Tomorow I will go to Groningen so that will be a long journey with the train it's a good thing I've a new portable cd player so I can listen some "Music" During Travel!
Well I better start ordering study Books now!
Jaguar Wed, 25th Aug '04, 8:40pm /me looks at Arabwel with puppydog eyes

Uytuun Wed, 25th Aug '04, 11:00pm That black mamba scene was plain scary.
Snakes freak me out.
Harbourboy Wed, 25th Aug '04, 11:17pm It's a beautiful sunny winter's morning here. Not a cloud in the sky. Lovely. Life rules.
Splunge Wed, 25th Aug '04, 11:25pm Yes, we've been having great winter weather here lately, too.
Too bad this is summertime. :(
BOC Wed, 25th Aug '04, 11:31pm I was watching "Law & Order" and I was surpised when I saw Ice-T playing the role of a cop considering that few years ago this guy was singing "Copkiller".
Harbourboy Wed, 25th Aug '04, 11:35pm On the Simpsons last night, they watched a show called "Law & Order: Elevator Investigators Unit". Classic.
Wordplay Thu, 26th Aug '04, 12:43am On TV last night... Nah, I turned it off after five minutes. :D
Read a little while ago that RIAA is winning most of the cases versus private persons, charging as much as 11.000 dollars per case. Can only be thankful I weren't born to USA... (Especially considering that they are still torturing people in Guantanamo.)
DrowLicious Thu, 26th Aug '04, 1:11am Ah the Simpsons....Is their any problem they can't solve? :)
One of my personal faves(which aired in the states last night i think) is when the Simpson family is building their own pool and they accidentally build a barn. An amish farmer replies " A fine barn, but 'tis no pool" to which Homer replies "Doh'eth!"
Harbourboy Thu, 26th Aug '04, 1:18am Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?
Aldazar Thu, 26th Aug '04, 5:32am @BOC - have you not seen New Jack City either then? Ice was a cop in that and actually, a lot of his film roles tend to be in that vein as well. Actually, I think Law & Order SVU has the best ensemble cast of almost any show I've seen. And as for Ice playing cops, when he was offered his first cop role, he didn't want to do it because of the racist rep some have but decided to in order to give black kids a good police role model.
And I though it quite interesting that Richard Belzer has played that same character in at least 3 different series so far.
On a down note, I was finally told in the early hours of this morning that a girl who I've been in love with for 6 years now, and who has felt the same, is moving on. :wail:
Jaguar Thu, 26th Aug '04, 6:49am A girl told me she thought my beard was cute. Ah.
Dice Thu, 26th Aug '04, 6:53am My wrist is itchy. What does that mean?
Harbourboy Thu, 26th Aug '04, 6:58am It means you should scratch it.
Takara Thu, 26th Aug '04, 8:47am Ooooh. You got a Dwarf lady hitting on you Jaguar? :p
Arabwel Thu, 26th Aug '04, 1:11pm Awww *hugs Jaguar* Feel better, now?
I feel like an alley topic coming on.... thanks to some little moppets who knew squat about traffic ruyles, my bicycle is in pieces, my pants muddy, and my backside hurting like hell. *grumble*
On the other hand, my therapist didn't blinbk an eye at the strange and mysterious wounds on my forearm... the result of me testing kitchen knives.
What? :p
Faragon Thu, 26th Aug '04, 1:18pm Well, to be honest, therapists are used to people who cut themselves to brighten their day. When that becomes every day business for you, you stop being amazed at it eventually. The fact that you're joking about it, as if it is some trivial thing while it concerns your own wellbeing both physically and mentally, frightens me however.
Arabwel Thu, 26th Aug '04, 1:59pm Actually, I did not do it to brighten my day, i was honestly testing the kitchen knivves... and imho, there's no better way. All but two need sharpemning since a standard application of force did not break the skin.
And yes, I am extremely weird. THat's why the "What? :p " part :p
And what I meant was that she did not start clucking at me like a hen from the monet she saw them like my previous therapist did.
Wordplay Thu, 26th Aug '04, 5:52pm And yes, I am extremely weird.Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself of that.
Taluntain Thu, 26th Aug '04, 8:18pm Am I the only one that twitches every time I see people writing "Charname this" and "Charname that"? Why can't people say "the hero", or "protagonist", or whatever, just not Charname, as if the code reference was a real name. Good grief... :bang:
Blue Loon Thu, 26th Aug '04, 8:30pm It bothers me too but I am a good sheep and follow along. Besides it is hard to spell protagonist.
Dark Haired Beauty Thu, 26th Aug '04, 8:33pm Changes her name to Charname the Protagonist
Jaguar Thu, 26th Aug '04, 9:32pm /me changes his name to Charname the Hero ;)
Harbourboy Thu, 26th Aug '04, 10:18pm Maybe Char is short for Charlene.
Blue Loon Thu, 26th Aug '04, 11:40pm Sheep too I suppose?
Someone in a diffrent forum (bababling thread even) showed me this and it has been pissing me off for an hour now: 64 or 65? (http://www.blessa.com/64-equals-65.gif)
Blackthorne TA Fri, 27th Aug '04, 3:09am If you look closely at the before and after in that 64=65 thing, you see that they really don't fit together as perfectly as it seems. See the thicker black line between them? And also look at the shapes of the squares at the borders. They aren't perfect squares are they?
All that little bit of mismatch all over the borders adds up to the one square.
If you have some fine grid paper you can try it out and see for yourself.
Dice Fri, 27th Aug '04, 5:04am Sir Blackthorne the wise!
Aldazar Fri, 27th Aug '04, 5:49am Looked at the 64=65 thing before reading Blackthorne's post and it is pretty freaky.
Finally saw 28 Days Later a couple days ago and I loved Godspeed You Black Emperor's "East Hastings" at the start when Jim's wandering around. One of the most fitting and atmospheric songs I've heard in a film for ages.
Harbourboy Fri, 27th Aug '04, 5:54am That old 64=65 thing has been doing the rounds for years. I'm surprised you people (who are usually on the cutting edge of just about everything) haven't seen that before. I remember it being in one of my bumper puzzle and brainteaser books when I was a kid. Still, it's a great gag nonetheless.
Aldazar Fri, 27th Aug '04, 6:02am Well, I've only been here for just over a year and there's not many other places I go except to look up specific things.
Like song lyrics, movie stuff, you know - the important things in life.
Dice Fri, 27th Aug '04, 6:09am Hmmmm....I think lately I've been on the need-to-be-sharpened edge. I probably should drink more V8 juice.
Aldazar Fri, 27th Aug '04, 6:39am Going out to the pub again tonight, hopefully the young lady I had my eye on 2 weeks ago will be out again. this time I might try getting a bit more bold too.
Jaguar Fri, 27th Aug '04, 10:40am Went to the local skin joint across from work today. Free pool Thursdays. Though I did have a little trouble focusing at certain points...
Arabwel Fri, 27th Aug '04, 12:59pm Aww, poor Jaggy.
I think I am cursed... my broadband has yet to go active, and it won't for a while... *groan* Guess why? I am moving again!
Then again, the moving part is sort of cool... if I don'rt manage to get this one apartment that is prvately-owned, I managed to cut myself into the public housing line thanks to mom's boyfriend knowing the dude in charge.
*snicker*
I also realized, thanks to hgim pointing it out, that the cute male I have been flirting with is our equivalent of a mayor. Oops....
SleepleSS Fri, 27th Aug '04, 4:45pm I feel like a falling stone in a world of glass Destroying everything on my way down deep down the rabbit hole....
Pitch black.
Dark Haired Beauty Fri, 27th Aug '04, 4:55pm The cellphone industry must really be booming. I'm sitting here in the student union with probably 50 other students and everyone seems to have a cell phone talking on it. Then again they probably are thinking who is the weird geeky girl with the laptop.
Erebus Fri, 27th Aug '04, 5:00pm Wow, this place has really changed.
Wordplay Fri, 27th Aug '04, 8:53pm Not really -the same old farts still rule and the same old habits still show. ;)
Laiwethel Sat, 28th Aug '04, 12:13am I finally have internet back at home!
Dealing with routers is not my idea of fun. Stupid routers.
Shrikant Sat, 28th Aug '04, 3:57am Got up at six in the bloody morning today.
Oh well, get to play GTA: Vice City early.
Jaguar Sat, 28th Aug '04, 7:03am How does one 'accidentally' wake up at 6 am?
Before I got out of high school, I wasn't sure that 6 am existed. ;)
-EDIT-
Who made a new page? I DID!!!

Aikanaro Sat, 28th Aug '04, 12:11pm Methinks I have just watched the best flash animation ever... Super Mario Reloaded (http://uploads.ungrounded.net/content.php?id=157388&name=157388_supermarioreloaded_ks.swf&title=Super%20Mario%20Reloaded&date=1093665600&quality=b&uj=0&w=400&h=260)
Amazing...
Also Hugo - what are you talking about - of course D&D is evil :p
ejsmith Sat, 28th Aug '04, 5:26pm This one is moderately funny. (http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/South/08/27/911.toy.ap/index.html)
The invoice described the toy as a plastic swing set. "I hate to blame the importer. He probably did not know what he was getting. He brings them in 40-foot containers. But whoever made it knew exactly what they were making," Pedron said. Pedron said Lisy did not notice the small plastic figurines until two people complained, but there is no mistaking what the toys represent: At the bottom of each is the product number 9011.1. The date was 09/11. That's ZERO NINE SLASH ONE ONE.
2. I can't even begin to guess which country they're from.
3. You don't tool up an entire plastic molding plant, just for a glibb remark. These are being sold in Arabia, and people are buying them. Whoot.
4. I guess I could buy some Crusade toys. Or some Alexander the Great toys. Or little Nazi toys. I guess I'm not very focused/patriotic...
Hugo Sat, 28th Aug '04, 7:57pm Aikanaro...
That is quite amazing... and Dutch/Belgain too which makes it even cooler - this is a direct contender to the Star Wars Gangster Rap.
It instantly made me want to see the matrix again... the music, the voices, they are simply the coolest in any movie. The setting, ditto.
And the story of pt. I is brilliance - although II was less cool despite the incredible action scenes IMO.
And I really gotta go see III some day real soon.
