I was out accompanying my cousins on a shopping trip today when I found a Box containing BG II and ToB for Rs.800/-

Its Rs 57.14 for 1 Euro
and Rs 46.27 for 1 $.

I also found a box with Half-life and 4 of its expansions/mods for Rs.1300/-

I know these are old games but I only have BG II and Half-Life out of these games.

I also found a Warcraft III expansion but the original seemed to be sold out.

The games I have, I got from cousins in USA. Now it seems that I may be able to get some of the newer games locally.

Should I switch to buying locally or should I continue to bugger my cousins to bring them along when coming here?
Which option would turn out to be cheaper?

Considering I bought the BG II and ToB set for 20 bucks American, buying it for Rs. 800( Or roughly $17.25 in U.S. dollars) is a good deal. There are some better prices on the internet of course, but nothing beats purchasing something in person.

I would recommend that you save yourself the hassle and get it locally.

The price for Half-Life and its expansions isn't bad either, considering the Staples close to my house sells the same thing for 40 U.S. dollars.

Don't know what the equivalent in other currencies is but my local EB Games shop is selling BGII SoA/ToB for AU$59.95, and I vaguely recall seeing instore a pack containing all the BG games for around AU$80. Could be wrong on that though.

Thanks for the replies.

Considering the absymal levels of mainline interest in D&Ds here in India it was a joy to see those games.

There was also a box of IWD, IWD:HoW and IWD II for the same Rs.800/-
And Warcraft :)
And Temple of Elemental Evil too.

Gotta go back there soon.

Edit:
1 Aus$ = Rs 33.23
So approx Rs.2000/-

waaaaay tooo high!

Drive to Thailand and buy the latest games (i.e. Unreal Tournament 2004 for $17 American [LEGIT COPY]) for cheap cheap cheap.
