It made me hungry because I simply love Whoppers, but a lot of people I know likeMcDonalds better. I think this is strange since the food from Burgerking is more tasty imho while McDonalds tasteds so fake. The only thing better at McDonald are the pickles, strangly...

So what do you prefer McDonalds or Burgerking?

If we're talking about the sandwiches, I'll take BK. If we're talking about the french fries, I'll take McD's. Of course, I don't get to eat at these places any more now that my wife is dieting and on a health kick... which basically means I'm dieting and on a health kick.

Neither...both of them are at the very end of the "fast food that sucks" line. Wendy's is down there, but not as close to the end as Burger King or McDonalds.

If you want good fast food, and live in CA, go to In-N-Out...anywhere else, just go to Arby's. :love: :rolling:

I hate them both, but if I had to choose, it would be Burger King. Why? because McDonalds uses child factoires to construct their toys and Burger King have vegetarian burgers.

Kids nowadays just don't show enought respect for A&W.

Geez where are all the students? bunch of old guys, young kidz an veggies (ugh). I like my share of great food but once in a while there's nothing like a good hamburger. A week ago I arrived at Amsterdam Schiphol at 24.00 hours and I yearned for a Big King XL (a whopper BTW) and it was GOOD.

I've had my share of really really good food and I'm talking 2 michilens star restaurants here. It's not like my favourite food is junk food but once in a while there's nothing like....VETTE KLETS (dutch :) )

So......Whopper all the way.

Mmmmmm, A&W. Now they are good. Unfortunately, one of the only ones near my home closed just recently. Gotta love that root beer; carbonated with yeast, or so I've heard.

btw, BK all the way (over MickeyD's, anyway), but who wants a Whopper? Man, you gotta go for the Angus (despite the horrible commercials), or the tacos. Yeah, deep-fried tacoey goodness, that's what I'm talkin 'bout.

This is making me hungry...

If I had to choose, I'd say Burger king, but I'll take What-a-burger over either of those, they have the best fast food burgers I've ever tasted.

I dont really go for either of them. If I'm in a hurry, and need a quick fix, then I guess I go for MacDs, but I'd rather go to a pub and get a beer and burger, personally. They generally taste a heck of a lot better.

I'm totally with Ziad on this. Quick rules. Though if I had to chose, it would be Burger King. The fries never make a difference, because I go for the burgers. If I want fries, I'll go to a "frituur" (a place specialised in fries, selling only fries and things to eat with the fries).

I refuse to eat at MacD nowadays as I was sick after the last two times I ate there. I am talking literally sick with the spray painting of the toilet from all manner of orificies.

I really liked BK back in the day and I can still enjoy a burger from there. Usually I go for other stuff when I want fast food though.

I like:

1. Real Food
2. KFC
---From this point down, I have to be dead---
3. Burger King
4. McDonalds

I don't eat burgers anymore. And I don't trust any meat from Mac. From Mac, I only eat fries and I'm not sure I should. Haven't been to a Burger King for ages, same may apply. KFC is the way. Long live chicken stripes! And pity Taco Bell is no longer around.

I'd go with Burger King for burgers, but Maccas has a very decent breakfast offering. Haven't had a burger for eons though.

I would go for Burger King over MacDonalds any day but the two are both pretty near the bottom of the barrel for me. I would definitely prefer A&W, Wendy's or Harveys over either of them.

Of course I would really rather have fast food from one of the many local non-chain greasy spoons - probably the best one around where I live is Giggling Tomatoes - they have great burgers and souvlaki and they make their fries fresh by cutting up actual potatoes instead of bringing in pre-cut frozen fries.

We used to have a national company that actually competed with Mc Donalds a few years back. This was called 'Georgie Pie' and believe it or not but they specaised in pies. They made damn good pies. I miss Georgie Pie. Curse Mc Donalds for buying them out and turning all the Georgie Pies into Mc Donalds.

I'm always amazed when i'm in Mickey D's or Burger King and someone orders huge meal deals then ask for diet coke for a drink.

If I had to choose. Flame Broiled tastes better so BK.

Then again if I pass a Taco Bell its a Grilled Stuffed Chicken Burrito and supreme Nachos and one of the new Green Mountain Dews. yummy!

I'm pretty sheltered here, only got Macca's, Hungry Jacks (BK in poor disguise), Red Rooster and KFC. We have a Wendy's in town but it only does Ice-creams and hotdogs.

I've worked in RR so I won't eat there, nkowing what it's like, I love KFC's Hot N Spicy chicken but it's not permanent like up in Queensland, I usually only eat the Bacon Deluxe from Hungry's and if I'm on a real health-inhibiting kick I only get the Quarter Pounder/Double Quarter Pounder from Macca's if I can make them get me a fresh-made one.

But out of the two initially in question, and if I had to make the coice, I'm like many who've responded - Hungry's for the burger, Macca's for the fries.

BK stands well above McD imo. They offer much better quality food (atleast they do here in NZ), apart from their watered down drinks - but that's fine, as they have free refills which are great if you're really thirsty. Oh, and their icecreams are cheaper!

We never go to MD's. We have even brainwashed our child into fearing the food from that place. The only fast food place we occasionally eat is Wendys. Unfortunatly we are very good cooks at home so really all of those places are equivalent to eating saw dust.

If I'm going to eat junkfood I'd rather order a roasted chicken pizza from Domino's.

Still, BK fast food will always be a step above Mc Donalds. However BK doesn't offer the whole Mc Cafe and salad things.

But both are nothing compared to Wendy's.

All of you can now stop bickering. I have arrived and, having eaten at enough fast food places to graft myself to my computer chair, can tell all.

Burgers - Wenty's or A&W
Fries - A&W or KFC
Any Desert - Dairy Queen
Full Meals - Burger King
Speed - McDonalds
Price - McDonalds

But if you want artery clogging, life ending, mass heart attack quantity, go to McDonalds. In some locations they serve a burger so massive it is nameless. If you order a Double Big Mac, you get a burger with 4 patties. You can also add the feature double the beef, which was meant to be used on smaller burgers to upgrade them. This will get you the amazing Double Big Mac with double the beef. An astounding EIGHT patties on one bun.

You want to off yourself slowly, this is the way to go.

Of course, as of late, I have been watching what I have been eating. So I rarely eat fast food now. Maybe once a week. And then off the healthy menu.

BK! The Whoppers alone are worth the price o' admission.

Georgie Pie was brilliant, if only because you could get food for only $1.

Anyway, since reading "Fast Food Nation" I have neither set foot in nor eaten a thing from either MacDonalds or Burger King (shiver.....).

I'll put my 2 cents in for Georgie Pie. $2 Seafood pies were my favourite. And nothing could beat the 95 cent steak and cheese.

A Double Big Mac? With double meat?! Eight patties!?! :eek: Where in the world can you get THAT? Cause I'd like to get one. (Just to see it, not to eat it) That is a LOT of meat. Never thought I'd say this, but too much meat.

McDonalds is the kind of food I just can't seem to eat. It appears they have salads though... BK, never got to try it in the first place. I mean, duh, I live in Belgium, let's say it's not on the country's menu... We, on the other hand, have 'Quick' fastfood. It's some Belgian hamburger chain that is only residented in... well... Belgium and France, and maybe Holland. I mysteriously like that chain and not the Mac. Must be the meat, although meat from the Netherlands is not meat of the highest reputation, if I may state this. Oh, well...

Okay Jaguar, today I'm gonna go to McDonalds today and see if I can get a double Big Mac, I'm trying to get 4 or more beef patties in one burger.

If you want a really good fast food burger, Fuddruckers (http://www.fuddruckers.com) is the place to go. Unfortunately for some of you, they seem to only be located in North America.

They aren't cheap, but the burgers, the buns (they bake their own fresh), and the fries are the best! Plus, you can top them in whatever way you like from the condiment bar that includes lettuce, onion, pickles, sweet pickle relish, hot peppers, salsa, ketchup, mustard, BBQ sauce, mayo, cheese sauce, etc. Just thinking of it is making my mouth water and my stomach grumble. :D

If it comes down to choosing between the two big international burger chains, I'd have to choose Burger King burgers and McFries (and have done just that in the past ;) ).

I'll take McDonalds over BK just because every time I have been to BK I could have gone to a sit down place and gotten my food faster. The service sucks big time there, and the food tastes like crap too.

Fuddruckers is a hilarious name for a burger joint. I like the idea of topping burgers with hot peppers and stuff. I wish there was one closeby.

I haven't been to either Mcdonalds or Burger King for about a year. I prefer Mcdonalds though, mainly because I've only been to Burger King once.

I'm not a big fan of fast food.

There's a drive-in called "The Spot" several blocks from my house that has killer burgers, plus they make their own root beer! My choice, hands down!

Actually, I was reminded yesterday of my favourite fast food place which had been forgotten due to low funds - Subway! Gotta love the Subway Melt with mayo and BBQ sauce.

Never heard of frituur during my (rather short I admit) stay in Brussels. Leon's fries are pretty good though (they'd better be at this price!)

I LOVE McDonalds. Burger King just isn't as nice. :)
