New RB!
Thu, 7th Jul '05, 5:55pm
Not to sound too petulant, but I got the last post in RBP#39, and I could have gotten the first one here if I'd wanted to. :p
So what's the plan? College, work, or a year off? Or are you just gonna wing it? :D
Thu, 7th Jul '05, 6:00pm
College of course, In Film Study I am already accepted and I begin my class the 22th August.
Plus the college is at 15 minutes in bus from my home, and it's the best in the whole province for film study.
and I've got a new gems! yeahness! I have done the 2/3 of the gems so far.
Thu, 7th Jul '05, 6:17pm
Real early this time!
Thu, 7th Jul '05, 6:56pm
666 the number of the beast!
Thu, 7th Jul '05, 7:25pm
Thanks a lot, Myth. Now you've made me hungry for lambchops.
Thu, 7th Jul '05, 9:22pm
And I want pie *pouts*
Thu, 7th Jul '05, 11:22pm
The terrorists should keep their hands off London. Hope all SPers are safe. I'm tempted to start a rant about how the world is going mad, but well, it's no use really, is it? ;)
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 1:15am
*token top 10 post*
@Ara: Sorry about that, dear. We had to make a stop on the way home and I got those little pies for dessert. Peach for me, apple for Velcro, and Arlyn picked cherry. :yum:  :yum:
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 1:17am
11 is the loneliest number that you'll ever play.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 1:29am
12 is a nice number. It can be divided by itself and 1, 2,3,4, & 6. If we had 6 fingers on each hand and 6 toes on each foot we would be using it instead of ten. 10=twelve. Ha.
Peace brothers & sisters.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 1:46am
Unlucky 13 for me...
Bleh. Having an absolutely wretched day at work.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 1:49am
I love 13. It's my lucky number. :)
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 1:54am
I'm hungry. And I never realized until just now how dirty I get at work. I cut myself this morning, and when I took off the band-aid just now, theres a pink patch of skin in the rest of my brownish arm!
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 2:38am
Seriously... these things are getting out of hand. It was only up to 16 last time I was here.
Edit: How coincidental... I'm #16...
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 3:34am
Yet another one joins the family. He's going to sleep in the crib my grandfather, my cousin, I, my brother, and many other have slept in. Mostly everyone in my family that was born while my grandparents where still alive.
I'm trying to refuse that I'm getting sentimental, but whats the use? I'm sorta hoping to be a godfather again, but that honor should, out of the many males in my family, go to my brother who isin't a godfather yet.
Still the mists are covering the top of the moutains, so I wish that the people, that live in close proximity of moutains, can enjoy equally beautyfull weather.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 3:34am
Seventeen. So many songs about seventeen.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 4:34am
I like the Alice Cooper song about 18...
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 5:08am
/me sends good vibes to Barmy, Sarevok and all other Brits on and off SP.
Hope you are all alright.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 5:27am
why the brits? :p
RB 40... this is Arabwel's doing :p
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 5:33am
Haven't you been paying attention?
Bomb in London (http://www.sorcerers.net/ubb/ultimatebb.php?/topic/34/214.html)
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 6:03am
Anyhow. To sorta quote Jaguar: Hope your still there. And Arabwel unfairly gets the blame for a lot of stuff.
And I like pie, and sadly cheese, darn it.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 7:13am
Hello. I'm taking bets noone remembers me... :D I fell off the face of the earth about a year ago now, but I'm back.
And nervously eyeballing a hurricane...
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 7:28am
Actually I wouldn't remember you, it only seems like an eternity to some that I've been here...
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 7:33am
Welcome back, Stefanina :D
Burt at least I now have a valid excuse to go get some pie :)
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 10:13am
Congrats, Zurga, and wb, Stefanina.
/me serves everyone pie
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 10:13am
Right. THe only thing to do is sleep through them. :)
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 12:28pm
Welcome back Stefanina! It *has* been a while :spin:
hmm... I need to have a lot less stuff, it's taking forever to sort through!

Just got a care package from my mom in Iowa. :yum: Goodness from my hometown to fill my tummy! <I pass pie back to Rallymama> The original, unmodified, Star Wars trilogy, :tie: cheese, books :book: and *beef*jerky*!!! Senses on overload... :xx:
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 2:55pm
The last time I had beef jerky was last freaking summer... none of it here. Only reindeer, and that is Not Good.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 4:06pm
Blah! The start of my NaNo was as boring as all hell and I was able to keep writing until the interesting bits - why can't that happen now?!
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 5:55pm
The problem with taking a holiday after several months of 15+ hours of work a day every day is that you get bored very quickly...
Strange rhetoric, I know.
I need a good game to play... Pereferably one that runs on a Pentium II :D
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 7:21pm
Computer bad... Computer in final phase... It is miracle I am online.
DAMN I despite thee ohhh computer, why hast thou ceased to play my sweet sweet games? Why dost thou crash for unknown and ambiguous reason? Why do I hath to clean (CCcleaner, Adware, Avast!, and Spybot) thee every single day our lord makes, in order for thee to run proprely? Can't thou bring thyself to normal states? Ahhh Thou leave me no choice I hath to take thee to the computer specialist... or use the sweet sweet and mercifull hammer upon thee. Three week of constant computer-nightmare is enough! So sayeth I...
This damn thing won't run anything except MSN and explorer... I done everthing; I've uninstalled et re-installed every games, ( bg2, SW:KOTOR, Icewind dale one and two, Lords of the realm three, Aqua Nox, ToEE) installed new drivers for about everything in the computer. Ask for advices in forum, nothing work. Now it's either I call the computer guy OR I use the hammer. So you probaly won't see me soon.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 8:12pm
@ Ofelix - You could try reinstalling windows - if you do so after formatting your hard drive that is practically guaranteed to fix any problems. Of course that leaves the problem of backing up any data that you want to keep.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 8:29pm
Hmmm... cherries ae addictive.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 8:30pm
Hello peeps! Just a quick post from Turkey. Have been having fun (yesterday notwithstanding, though all my mates and family are ok thankfully). Been on boat trips and on the beach and managed to avoid sunburn! Have to go now (internet cafe  ) and I apologise for any dodgy grammar: blame the turkısh keyboards!
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 9:34pm
@ JSSB, I would only I do not have the Windows XP cd. Trust me if I owned the cd I would have done it. The store where I bought it didn't include the cd in the 1,600 CDN $ price, it included everyother cd (all the programs utility, drivers etc) but NOT Windows.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 10:09pm
That's too bad. I would be almost inclined to recommend downloading a cracked copy of windows - assuming you actually have a valid license right now I don't think they could actually prosecute you for installing a cracked version.
Damn its annoying working at my laptop and desktop on the same desk doing two things at once, I keep typing on the wrong keyboard and trying to use the wrong mouse by mistake.
Fri, 8th Jul '05, 10:33pm
It helps if you have two chairs. :D
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 1:45am
Well, I am off again. My flight to Dublin leaves at 11 PM tonight. I don't know what the internet situation will be but I will probably be by only sporadically during the next two weeks.
I love travelling but three seperate two week trips in a seven week period is proving to be a bit too much for my taste.
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 4:42am
How come everyone else is going on vacation but me? Sucks...
But I may get a chance to make my wrestling game...
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 5:15am
Enjoy your trip, JSBB. Kiss the Blarney Stone while you're there. :D
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 7:16am
Later JSBB and welcome back Stephania! Weren't you toughing out a hurricane last time you were here as well?
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 8:05am
Hmmm...... *checks inbox frantically*
Sometimes mornings are useless :(
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 8:46am
and I apologise for any dodgy grammar: blame the turkısh keyboards! i feel your pain! When I was in Madrid and I was in an internet cafe I couldn't even locate the apostrophes and commas :o
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 8:54am
LOL... people here have good memories. Yep, I disappeared shortly before hurricane #3 hit Florida last year... I managed to get through without any damage to my house, but my life got insanely busy helping friends evacuate out of trailers, then a good frind of mine got 2 massive kidney infections, then she had a grand mal siezure (reason is still unknown) and I've been helping her and her hubby stay sane and able to take care of their five year old daughter...
And I had a hard drive meltdown somewhere in there, too.
It's been a busy year!
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 9:38am
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 12:40pm
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 9:46pm
Today was fun, but tonight sucked. When will guys understand that raving about how beautiful one friend is is not very nice for the other friend? When will friends learn to see things in proportion?
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 10:02pm
Whoa! That's a big year already. Many people might gone mad with all this.
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 11:36pm
I cleaned out my wallet yesterday. It looks like before and after pictures in a Jenny Craig Commercial...
Sat, 9th Jul '05, 11:37pm
Twisted Sister rule!!! Tonights concert has been one of the three best concerts I have ever watched.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 4:29am
First Saturday I've had in a while that I didn't have anything but a sip of beer. Wow. :spin:
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 4:54am
You might want to attack your bedroom closet next Gnarffinger
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 6:41am
So far, so good... it's actually a bit too quiet here, none of the usual animal noises.
Spent most of the day taking mother shopping, and doing soem housecleaning.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 7:07am
Hope your luck holds. I have a friend who lives in Florida, too. :)
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 8:46am
*Sends lots of good vibes*
Shouldn't have strawberries for breakfast...
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 11:08am
I have a feeling that I will learn to hate this time of year. Who knew people needed to ship so much fish? It kinda smells, especially when the wise-guys in the warehouse leave the cooler doors open.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 12:25pm
Sometimes I can't believe how stupid I am.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 12:35pm
Whoop, Queen of the Damned soundtrack is still cool. Been playing The Sims 2, does anyone know if one can their own mp3s into the ingame radio thingey? that'd be kinda neat, and all.
Hmm getting too long for rbp
PS Hello again Stefanina! Good to see you back alive!
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 12:39pm
Someone bump the guitar licks thread in the sens, and I will put some more stuff on there.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 1:12pm
You can reply to your own posts now I think, Sarevok.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 2:44pm
Life is driving me nuts right now, and I will never be able to figure out guys.
In other news, I'm in Greece for a little more than a week, then I'm heading back home to wonderful Canada.
I can't wait to get back to my own computer and bed.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 2:48pm
I am sure evryone is gonna be sooo jealous of your tan :D
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 3:06pm
I never thought I'd say this, but: No more parties next week! Yay! (after a month of an average of 4 parties a week, very expensive I must say)
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 4:12pm
Sarevok•, you can reply to your last reply after 24 hours pass, now. Check SS for more info on this recent board modification.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 4:59pm
man, Neil Gaiman has more fans here than I thought. Philippines has, so far, the largest turn-out for his 2-day signing. It's been 3000+ people and counting. and those are just the fans that decided to actually go and wait
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 6:03pm
I refuse to admit to fangirling Gaiman :p
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 6:08pm
I saw Fantastic Four with some friends last night, it was pretty good. Not enough fighting, though.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 6:21pm
why not? I'm a gaiman fanboy :p My mom was able to get me a pass to a writers' forum he's throwing tomorrow, woohoo! Definitely worth cutting class for :p
just saw it myself. A lot of my friends were of the same opinion as you. But I thought it was okay as it was. I found all the stuff showing how they adapted to the changes pretty entertaining.
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 6:33pm
You lucky..... *censored*
Then again, i am pretty sure what I'd do if I got my grubby little hands on him for an hour or two would be QUITE different from, what you'd do :p
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 6:45pm
err if what you would do is NOT ask for a picture with him and his signature on Neverwhere, Coraline, American Gods and Stardust and then leave (after listening to all the cool stuff he's going to say about little things in his novels and an excerpt from his new one) then it would definitely be QUITE different indeed :p ;)
seriously though, I don't know if I'll be able to get the pic or the autographs :( a buddy of mine was in the official booksigning line yesterday. He said that he got to the place at 3pm and at 1130pm he still didn't have his stuff signed  He eventually got them signed this morning but only because he recieved some kind of paper that said that he had waited a hell of a long time already yesterday :o
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 8:02pm
Life is like a dance :)My throath hurts but yesterday was fun, a lot of people I care about where there :D
on the other hand I can't remember how thge evening did end... strange
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 8:14pm
Lets just say that after I got the pictures and the autographs, there would be severe lack of clothes and possibly whipped cream involved :D
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 8:42pm
TMI. (or NEI, depending on your mood  )
Sun, 10th Jul '05, 11:52pm
Yeah I've set up my Hydra IRC thingy... Now I can use FAI more... er... more with Hydra.
Tonight I'm going to see some movie with my friend.. gotta be cool
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 3:38am
Actually next project for me is my computer desk
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 3:47am
A corollary to Murphy's law - the e-mail ALWAYS arrives within an hour of one leaving the computer for an extended period of time.
Am not going anywhere... :coffee:
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 5:57am
Once again, work sucks. I'm still stuck in Inernational Shipping...and it's Sooooo Booooring! I want my old job back in the *hush* *hush* area. I can't say that my old job was "fun" but it kept me on my toes, and I always had something to do. Now, it's not uncommon to run out of things to do at around 2am...so my "boss" tells us to avoid the security cameras until 5am, so the real bosses thing we are actually working. :bang: :rolling:
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 7:50am
Bring in a good book. That's what I do.
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 10:43am
just got out from the Gaiman forum. It was loads of fun, definitely worth a cut from class. Unfortunately those damn security people didn't let me have a picture with him
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 1:20pm
Lqack of pictures sucks :(
And damn, looks like I stayed up for nothing.... and no e-mail even after sleep. Which sucks.
Oh well, at least my foot is hurting a lot less now.
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 2:20pm
I had some pics OF him, but none WITH him :/
There's a chance that my battered yeeears-old copy of Neverwhere will be signed though! :) Hope he signs it, I picked it up back when it was new in the U.S, more than 5 years ago and way before American Gods turned him into a celebrity over here :/
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 5:29pm
I hate hay fever
/me tries no to rub his eyes
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 6:49pm
Just spun off a new thread into the D&D forum. It belongs there, but at the moment it looks more like something from CS. I hope it doesn't get moved. :(
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 7:20pm
Don't be sad. Get Prozac. :D
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 7:41pm
Ummm....Uhhhh....I already did. :o
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 9:09pm
It's been three whole week that I haven't drank any form of alchool. I feel weird. I got random dizzyness, headache, and my shoulder hurt. What's happening to me?
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 9:17pm
Your just going through withdraw. Take some Prozac. :D
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 9:21pm
Geez, Jaguar, do you work for them or what?
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 9:43pm
Prozac? Nay I don't think so... thanks anyway
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 10:20pm
This stir fry has ninja mushrooms.
Mon, 11th Jul '05, 11:22pm
Ofelix: Have you had enough caffeine?
On a random note, NWN haks are annoying. :borg:
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 2:32am
One of these nights, I'm going to see if I can bring my laptop and hook it up to one of the hundreds of projectors they have. The four other guys I work with are total Redneck hicks, so I'd probably never hear the end of it.
People that would rather pour concrete or help clear out a feild than relax in front of a computer make me sick. :rolling:
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 4:06am
No I decided to drink considerable less alchool and caffeine for the months being... I ain't feelin' well at all
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 4:45am
You are having caffeine withdrawal, Flix - my sympathies.
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 4:53am
The last two days were rough. I only got two hours sleep to prepare for a presentation.Thank God for :coffee: . Everything turned out well and I've had eight hours of sleep. I'm back to normal.
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 5:48am
Why is it that when Haying season comes, you get days with nothing, then you get a couple really long days in a row?
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 6:04am
Not sure what you are talking about, Gnarfflinger?
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 6:43am
Well, There was lots of rain, but I escaped the hurricane. Pensacola got whapped again, however. A lot of those people still hadn't been able to finish rebuilding from last year's hurricanes.
Only four and a half more months to go...
On the bright side, my plants are getting well watered, and some friends and I just started a new P&P game.
I should not try to type in the dark...
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 7:36am
Yet you still type better then Ara. Good on ya.
You know, you use that line way too much. Try www.answers.com. (http://www.answers.com.) :D

Marc Remillard is the Best Character EVAR!
That is all.
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 3:47pm
Am muchly annoyed at Foot., It should NOT get infectd this close to the damned con.
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 4:06pm
character from where?
what a good news-bad news day. good news is i'm going to get back my copy of Neverwhere signed by Neil Gaiman. Bad news is I probably failed my macroeconomics midterm earlier today. arg.
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 5:44pm
I just cut my lip open on a foil gum wrapper! WTF? This is as bad as the time I sliced a toe open with a cardboard macaroni and cheese box. :o
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 9:35pm
Maybe you should stay away from all things paper, just to be safe. :D
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 9:54pm
Yarrr... Vacations are starting to bore me. Go me :??:
And, Disciples II is a good game, but the Dwarven campaign is plustough... It smacks you with units way above what you can achieve. In the second mission, for example, UnitLvlCap is at 3 - but I'm duking it out against armies that have Lvl5s... ARGH!
Oh well. Keep the faith, game on, etc.!
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 11:34pm
Am muchly annoyed at Foot., It should NOT get infectd this close to the damned con. I'm really trying hard to work out what this means. Arabwel's foot is too close to a convict who might catch an infection?
Tue, 12th Jul '05, 11:54pm
Arrr... I might not go to that 5 day long medieaval thingy with lotsa fighting and beer. Ugh, stupid friend
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 12:14am
I think it means that if her foot infection doesn't go away, she might not be able to attend a convention.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 12:24am
What to do when bored and not having any hope to get sleep?
Something you can't do without blowing it. :p
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 3:00am
Have you ever had one of those days where you just can't type? I had to edit this four times so that nobody thinks Ara hijacked my account.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 3:53am
jaguar-- Yeah I know what you mean.
I've just read the SP age thingy. I didn't know I was in a minority so far! Seem everybody is 18+ or almost. Gee I feel pretty young.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 4:08am
You are. :D
But how did you finish high school so quick? Or did you mean just for the year?
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 4:32am
Maybe we have a genius in our midst. :D
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 4:39am
Jaguar... Well I'm borderline for school registration.
You had to be age six before september first. I am born 8/8/88. I am (and always will) one year younger than most of my class.
So no, I actually finish High school. Yeah! and I was accepted to college to boot.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 4:40am
Harbourboy: Apparently she stepped on a claw-hammer.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 5:23am
Harbourboy, I was referring to the harvest of the hay crop. You get a few days off, but then all the work comes in a couple days all at once...
Fortunately, I had this afternoon off because the one field was not yet cut...
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 5:48am
Wow, it is late evening here and the sun is going down in about 1/2 hour. The sky is a surreal shade of yellow because of the rainstorm and there is a spectacular rainbow outside the bathroom window.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 5:51am
i love wednesdays. class from 230-330 then home
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 6:00am
That's weird...I thought it was tuesday today...
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 6:32am
It's almost Thursday now. How time flies.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 7:06am
O.K...I admit it. It is less then an hour to wednesday where I am right now.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 8:25am
That's not a very big admitance...
Now, if you said, "Ok, I admit it, I shot JFK!" That would be different... :hahaerr:
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 9:20am
Hmm, fotfeels slightly better... but only slightly.
This is muchly sucklicious since in little over a week I will be walking a LOT...
*twiddles thumbs a little*
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 11:05am

Wed, 13th Jul '05, 2:21pm
/me casts protection vs boredom at work
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 4:35pm
Man I'm BORED. It's one of those slooow summer days when you don't have anything of interest to do. Go to beach? Can't be arsed. Find a hobby? It's almost 6pm and past office hours, so no calling to people. Play games? I don't have any good ones to play. Besides, it's hot and I wanna be outside. Arg. >.<
The highlight of this day was when I met two asian exchange students, asking for directions. Took a full minute to say "It's somewhere along this road."
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 5:06pm
Maybe I'll finaly get a job, a friend of mine said the store he's working for is hiring new members! Yeah! It's a hardware store much lire Home Depot, but a local variant.
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 5:41pm
Back. Back. Back. Finally. It's been a week. The freaking condenser charged up too much thanks to the sucky contact in my room and the summer heat. Plus, the reset button and cord went freaky. Ahh... finally back online.
/me puts his fingers in the USB port to regenerate damage
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 6:15pm
We missed you!
Wed, 13th Jul '05, 7:23pm
I hate having to sleep!!! I go to sleep, and eight hours later, when I wake up and check Today's Active Topics for what was said (on the topics I care about) since I logged off, I end up opening twenty browser windows just to see them all! WTF!?!

When we left our heroes last week, Tal had decided to take a vacation. With the hopes that chevalier's computer would prevent him from causing mischief, he set off.
In a stunning development, chev returns to the Boards. Knowing this would be the perfect opportunity for him to make a power grab, chev begins to plot. Only BTA stands in his way, with the mods all caught in the crossfire.
Can BTA save SP from the power hungery chev? Will chev be able to overcome the might of BTA? Will Ara ever be able to type? Tune in next week for the stunning conclusion.
Same SP time, same SP channel.

Got my laptop back. Got all the info back from the HDD that I really needed. However, Odessy is completely unrecognisable and a shadow of what he was.

Someone give him a "Pump-me-up Jaheira" -doll for a Christmas present. :D
Should I laugh or cry? Since it was WinME, you should rejoice and dance a little hobbit dance for the honour of the fact that there is one less devil in the world. Remember to tie it around a tire and burn some serious rubber. :)

My chance of getting a job are near the absoulte zero. I fail Maths, now I can't go the college next august. I have to re-pass maths (the subject I despise, loath, hate with a passion unknown to most mortal). I am doing nothing of my days... My friends says I'm getting weird I almost don't seem them and I am having far too often those dizzyness issue... Not a bright picture

I finally passed 100 posts today. 100 posts in almost 4 months...which averages out to like 1 post a day...I think. Maybe I could take a more active roll in the sp community. :hahaerr:

Don't feel bad, Atari Man, I've got less than 400 posts total, and I think I signed up three years ago!
One of these days I'm going to get to sleep at a reasonable hours... today's not that day however.

Leaving for school soon. This sucks. At least this term all my classes start either at 1 or 230, next term I may have 8am classes, wtf??
Thu, 14th Jul '05, 8:12am
Yes, bad news about Beren. He was about to log onto SP when his computer crashed. It turns out it was stuffed to the brim with SP thongs, causing it to overheat.
Foul play is suspected. :D
Thu, 14th Jul '05, 8:16am
Either that or foreplay. :hahaerr:
Thu, 14th Jul '05, 9:19am
Yeah. I found AoDA and AoLS, then the people there wish I wouldn't have... Well not really. I for one appreciate various views even if they clash with my own. Some times I might just roll my eyes and think that this is complete BS but that's just in the way that I think. The Alley is for sharing opinions and views and it's bound to lead to some conflict and then what you have to do is just ride through the storm!

I've never had more than the typical number of problems with any Windows OS. I've even got one game that won't run on anything except Win 95.
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 1:42am
This British heatwave's sending me crackers. Night-time's the worst. Since I live in London, I can't sleep with the window open in case someone crawls in and kills me with a bit of railing. So I lie sleepless, thrashing like a dying horse, tortured by the phonecall I received on Tuesday from university insisting I come in and speak to the head of department as I am “in trouble” neglecting to actually tell me what it is I am alleged to have done.
Brilliant. In case I haven't all got enough to worry about what with bird flu, terrorism, global warming, food scares, neo-conservatives, corporate megalomania, MRSA, phone tumours, asteroids, nuclear stockpiles, crime, plane, train and car crashes, depression, madness, ageing, anguish, Aids and Crazy Frog's debut going straight to number one...my university considerately toss another chunk of doom on the pile. Oh well back to feeling angry and lost again.
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 1:51am
I can offer only a few words of consolidation: those who worry needlessly live short, so your misery won't last as long as it would if you were a happy person. :)
Loosen up a few bolts, mmkay?
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 2:05am
those who worry needlessly live short Good.
Yes, I'm a hair's breadth from becoming the sort of person who stands shirtless at the side of the road, shouting into traffic about the forthcoming end of the world. :)
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 2:08am
Whoa dude! You really need to chill. You could get hit by a bus on the way to school...if that happend then all the other things you worried about would be meaningless.
Uh...somehow I dont think that will make you feel any better?
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 2:20am
Everybody!!!!! I'm so excited I think I'm gonna explode!!!!!
I was planning on attending the Conestoga 9 Fantasy Fiction Convention in Tulsa this weekend -- where George R.R. Martin (my favorite author!) is the guest of honor and will be speaking and doing book signings. Well, I sent an e-mail stating that I wanted to take some pictures for SP etc. and they sent back an invite to attend a small dinner they've having for him tomorrow night!!!! :D :rolling:
I was only hoping to see him from afar -- but now I'll be meeting him close up and personal. They also said he'd do a private signing there too.
I'm so thrilled to get to meet this guy!!!!

Fri, 15th Jul '05, 3:41am
Enagonios -- Yea, seriously!!!!
I'm freaking here -- trying to figure out hair, clothes, what to talk about....studying his bio. I only hope I don't freeze up and act like a moron!! ....or eat like a slob!! (maybe I'll just pick at my food with little bites). I get very self-conscious at these kinds of things.)
But I'm too excited to care too much!!!
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 4:22am
That's pretty cool, Spellbound. Tell him you know plenty of people who have been waiting for ages for the rest of his books.
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 4:24am
Good for you. Send the pics to SP right after.
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 4:29am
Yea -- I wonder how many people, when they meet him, blurt out "Where's Feast??"

There was a shooting spree six blocks away at about 9pm tonight. I wasn't home, and almost couldn't get home due to police blocks.
So far, I've heard two dead and three wounded, found at multiple sites within the mobile home park.
The shooter is in custody now, he turned himself over after an hour long manhunt.
This is NOT normal here, and people all around here pretty stunned.
You know, hurricanes don't seem so bad... can I go back to worrying about hurricanes?

Yeah, shootings suck. And hurricanes blow. *cue rimshot*
I might be moving again, found a great little place in town, but not 'ín' town, so I hope I can make it work out. Just need to find a third roomie.

Hey y'all! I'm back from Turkey!
Well, that was a cool holiday. Just me, four mates and a lot of suncream. (In Factor 50 we trust! - damn my pasty physics-geek skin with its null resistance to light!) A few beaches, some general sightseeing, Turkish baths, pool, swimming, bartering ... all good fun! It seems odd to be home, especially as my flatmates are all gone for the weekend & I'm all alone! :sosad:
Oh well, I'll have to find other things to keep me entertained, like computer games. :D
And I would like to add my voice to the chorus of dissent against Windows Me: the Devil-OS  Never have I seen anything so capable of insidiously destroying a computer from within. I shudder to think of the hours I had to put in on my dad's old machine and my old laptop trying to keep them alive.
And get well soon Ara; whichever of your head, feet or other appendages is giving you gyp, may it quickly be made well!

Visited "SeOikea.fi" site only a little while ago just to see if there were anything to cheer up my Friday evening, but from the start the site came up as something aimed for women. I totally hate that love-this-love-that attitude. :nolike:
In case you do not know, "Se Oikea" translates as "The Right One", when it comes to dating. Why there can't be sites like "Meat Desk" or "Buy Your Partner?" Should just bugger to get to the town...
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 9:52pm
Work. Tired. Typing ability shutting downnn......
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 10:20pm
The Magpie returns, I leave for the States. ;)
I'm prepared for a huge culture shock. :p
Seeya in 3 weeks!
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 10:41pm
Guard your accent!. :p ;)
@The Magpie: Was Turkey really that good? I've just got a last minute kind of an offer through my godmother. Kind of a student trip, which suggests some company at the bottle.
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 11:10pm
Like ships that pass in the night, eh? ;) Well then, hello & cheerio Uytuun! Enjoy yourself & tell us all about it when you get back (or find an Internet cafe); I'm sure we won't have gone far! Just remember: it's zed; not zee, zed.
@ chev: and yes, Turkey was awesome. If you're going with Uni mates, all the better. It's not a relentless-clubbing kind of place (thank God!) and the people are really friendly, at least where we went in the south-west. If you can find good traditional-style Turkish baths, definitely give it a go (although the heat may be too much for some!). Of course, a lot depends on who you go with, and the bunch I went with were really good. No arguments, no pouting, no hesitation on helping out those who were short of Lira. And I managed to teach the Turkish guy who ran the bar at our apartment complex to say "cheerio" by the end of the holiday. A pity I didn't pick up more Turkish, but almost everyone has either English or German. I'd definitely give it a go, if you've the opportunity.
Fri, 15th Jul '05, 11:28pm
Am trying to figure out what to have for dinner.

I just read a major spoiler about the new Harry Potter. Absolutely gutted, I was looking forwward to reading it when it comes out tomorrow. It;ll ruin it for me now.
Here's to hoping it's a hoax...
Sat, 16th Jul '05, 12:09am
I considered it a downgrade because quite a lot on the laptop isn't compatable with Windows 95  and I never had any problems with it either. The lady that looked at it thinks that it probably had a faulty HDD and Battery from when we bought it.

Maybe I should sleep...
Sat, 16th Jul '05, 8:57pm

George R.R. Martin was GREAT!!!!! :D Got to talk to him a good bit -- and some of his comments in the different sessions were absolutely hysterical!! He's got a wonderfully warped sense of humor that he's not afraid to share -- he had the whole place in stitches. There were times I was laughing so hard, only squeaks were coming out. The dinner was wonderful, but in many ways today was better -- more 1 on 1 time with him.... Absolutely incredible guy! :thumb:
Sat, 16th Jul '05, 9:28pm
Kinda having a lazy day, a friend is picking me up in about three hours to treat me to an early birthday dinner (my birthday is tomorrow)
Can't get too wild for my actual birthday, since my mother is having cataract surgery the day after, so I have to be the driver.

Back from sister's wedding. I drank a boatload of stuff and smelled like an alcohol shop till I took a shower a while ago.

Impressive but could be a fake using lots of pictures nicely lined up. Probably is fake as I don't think any flight simulator, or any game for that matter could actually work using that many screens. Hmm

Well, I just managed to spoil myself for Harry Potter. I think it's made me strangely more interested in the book now though - not that I have any immediate plans of rushing out and grabbing it :)
Sun, 17th Jul '05, 6:58am
My step-mom pre-ordered a copy for herself and for me, so I don't have to fight the rush.
Upwards of a dozen I think. After 8 or 9 they all started to meld together.

Wow, I have nice friends. The restaurant was quite upscale, and the food was amazing!

I also wore high heels and makeup for the first time in well over two years... That was you? I could have sworn it was Jaguar... :p
As for me, I went out to a fairly nice restaurant tonight as well...not much...but they had good steak and ribs. :rolling:

Once again I went to the wonderful world of tequila yesterday and I'm still having a hangover. I really should stop drinking that stuff it's just asking for trouble.
Sun, 17th Jul '05, 5:27pm
This been a whole months since I did not drink any alcohol brevage nor do I had cafeine, I think I'm feeling better now. And today I'm going to beat other guy dressed as medieaval fashion (just like me) with foam weapon.

saw American History X in class this morning, ending made me kinda sad :(
really pissed me off though, because right after the last scene, some guy in my class starts acting (and wrongly!) as a know-it-all, claiming that you wouldn't "really" die if you were shot in the chest 3 times. "unless they were armor piercing wounds or from an automatic rifle." what a ****ing idiot. someone should put that tool out of my misery

@ Woodwyrm: a mate of mine introduced me to the joys of Death From Above on the flight back from Turkey (ironically enough!)... and I was pleasantly surprised enough to buy the album off Amazon (with some commission to keep Tals' servers fed, natch), along with a Tom Vek album. Those Canadians aren't half bad at this music lark... if you ignore Celine Dion. Or Alanis Morisette. Or the Barenaked Ladies.

(a la Jaguar) As we rejoin our heroes...
Chev's diabolical plot is thwarted by the sudden return of the Sorcerer. Taluntain has once again made the kingdom of Sorcerer's Place safe for all who wish to surf within its boundaries. At least, for now... :mommy: :shake:
Tune in next time for more gripping drama (and other stuff of legends) in the greatest place on the net!
Tue, 19th Jul '05, 4:07am
Felinoid--- Ah! so no more diabolical plot for now? But who's going to be the next super vilain if Chevalier is under control? The overwhelming typos of Ara? The geezing power of both Nakia and Splunge? We can't do anything but speculate.

Hey, you ruined the plot line. Chev was about to be revealed as none other then Tal himself, incognito, lulling the devious BTA in a false sense of security.
And now you blew the whole thing and BTA can run rampant again, having never been caught. Good job...
Tue, 19th Jul '05, 4:19am
Crap, have a whole SLEW of hard tests next week.
Tue, 19th Jul '05, 4:21am
Oh, I'm sure Chevalier will come up with something else. Let's see ... what's coming up next week ... Oh no, not the site update! You monster! :shake:
Sorry. :o Your post inspired me, and I felt the need to express it. I'm sure you can figure out a way to recover, though. :thumb:
